JBL- If that is your “real name”, no I am not a huge fan of herpes jokes but I must admit there were times Monday night that you were entertaining as hell. One thing is for sure, the producers will never put us together because they would have to have an interpreter and a hat rack! Anthony- Jonathan Coachman’s title is “Executive Assistant” to the Chairman. Coach also works part time for CSTV doing sports play by play and studio work and does a great job at both. Kathy-Chipotle is not fiery hot. It is spicy and flavorful and our Chipotle BBQ Sauce is my hands down favorite sauce. Andy in Ireland- If Chris Benoit goes back to his roots it would be in Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, not ECW. Benoit is one of the very best in-ring performers in the world so who ever has him should be thankful. JSP- I think the Dynamite Kid should go into the Hall of Fame along side the British Bulldog. What a tag team they made! They were WAY ahead of their time. Kevin- My favorite manager would be a tie between Jim Cornette and Bobby Heenan. There were many outstanding managers in the 70s and 80s that I saw either in person or on TV. The “art” of being a great ringside manager is a lost one. I can’t imagine wannabe managers would not study the tapes of the greats and the WWE DVD regarding the Best Managers is a good place to start. Manoj in India- As the Chairman of the WWE said recently, Kurt Angle is welcome back to the WWE when he is healthy. Any one that truly knows Kurt wants him to be healthy and happy. I think Kurt is a wonderful guy, and remember, never say never in this business. Gavin in the U.K.- We are working feverishly to get all the shipping rules and regulations addressed to ship our sauces to the UK and beyond. Bear with us as we are close. Our government doesn’t move too quickly. Anthony- I think as long as he is physically able to do his thing that no Wrestlemania is complete without an appearance by Hulk Hogan. Hulk is the wrestling version of the band “The Eagles”. I go see them perform every chance I can. Trace- Can’t speak to the future DVD titles but I know that the recent Pillman DVD is awesome and the Hulk DVD is a classic as well. I expect to see more of the same great work continue. I would be hard pressed to not put Ohio State vs. Florida in the national title game of college football. But the Buckeyes have to beat Michigan which won’t be easy and The Gators still have to contend with a SEC Title game which can be dangerous. Mark- For there to be another “Boom Period” like the late 90s as you suggest the key element is developing NEW superstars along the lines of a Stone Cole or a Rock who were both “new” during that era. The evolution of new stars in any form of sports and entertainment is the key to success of any entity. That is why major sports leagues have annual drafts and Hollywood is always searching high and low for the next big thing. Kirk- Maybe it is just me but I don’t see the comparison between Umaga and Samoa Joe as others do other than their heritage of both being Samoans. There styles don’t resemble each other at all to me. Just my opinion. Jimmy- I would love to see a Four Horseman DVD set. It would definitely be a keeper. The Horseman legacy will last for generations to come and their stories of the road would be classic….if they could all be told. Andrew- The hardest match for me to broadcast is the Royal Rumble match itself as there are no breaks, a different wrestler coming to the ring every minute or so so the story changes constantly and it lasts for over one hour. Adam- I do not see a DX vs. NWO match any time soon. The NWO talents that one would need to make this happen are not all contractually available. I never say never but this is “highly unlikely”. Ronald- My wife and I are going to see “The Marine” tonight! Just an FYI for classic rock fans, last night my wife and I saw the group “Heart” in concert at a casino near our home in Norman, Oklahoma. For the record, the Wilson sisters can still get it done! For those of you looking for RAW feedback, check out www.wwe.com on the RAW page for my weekly column which is posted every Thursday. Thanks and keep the emails and the sauce orders coming. My family and I sincerely appreciate your business and for giving our sauces a try. J.R.

Hey JR I'm a huge fan of chris benoit. So my question is do you think benoit will be a main eventer again?
hey JR. why is wwe.com giving false infomation regarding the superstars? sometime ago it says that jeff hardy was having some kind of disease to stop him from returning to the WWE. but during that time jeff hardy was with TNA wrestling. now, it says kurt angle has some kind of family problem and health problem. but he just signed with TNA wrestling too!
Hi JR I've got a real good question for ya, after so many years of taking shots at edge and christian not being world champion's, what was your throughts after edge won the WWE title and christian won the NWA World title
I read that Kurt Angle would love to have Benoit in TNA, so I was wondering which TNA star YOU would like to see in WWE. I think Samoa Joe would be a great addition to the roster. He'd fit right in ECW.
Hey J.R. I first off want to applaud you for your outstanding commentary every Monday night on RAW. You and King keep up the good work. Secondly, I would like to congratulate WWE as a whole for keeping me tuned in every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (and some Sundays when I can afford it). Thirdly, I wanna ask you about some of the gimmicks. People everywhere who watch WWE are protesting some of the gimmicks. One in particular, with African Americans, is that of RAW's newest tag team, Cryme Time. African Americans are saying that the gimmick is inappropiate and bashes their culture. I get that, for I am an African American myself, but where were the critics when Muhammad Hassan was walking around? Where were the Spanish American critics when Eddie Guerrero (RIP, we miss you Eddie) adopted the "Lie, Cheat, and Steal" gimmick? All I'm saying is that we need to give this new team a chance. As said before, I am of African descent and I enjoyed watching Cryme Time's "training videos" and cheered them on against the Spirit Squad with extra joy last Monday. I dont find them bashful or inappropiate in anyway. I also enjoyed their promo with King Bookah. Anyways, just wanted your opinion on RAW's newest team. I do hope Cryme Time gets over so that they'll be around for a long while, maybe even become the new World Tag Team Champions. Now, that would be tight!!
do u think stone cold will be back, i think he was the best, he was the biggest reason i watched wrestling on monday nights, i still do but i liked it better with him on there
First off I wanna say: I agree with you regarding Umaga and Samoa Joe, other then their shared heritage and the fact that they are both out of shape and the word "Somoan" is involved in the names there are no simularities. They have two completely different styles/gimmicks for you fans wondering who each is a somewhat rip off of.. Joe= Taz ripoff, completely. You could almost also say Goldberg, but more Taz. And Umaga= Modern day Kamala. There are very few things that make either guy similar.. Anyway, I do have a question. :-) Do you ever visit Lance Storm's website? I have to say, you and him have the most interactive websites of anyone in the business.. and a second question: Can you see ECW having a secondary belt? {TV Title} I don't mean tomorrow, but eventually I really wanna see a "TV Title" it's one of my favorite belts, just for the simple fact that it must be defended everytime there is TV always appealed to me.
Mr. Ross, I was wondering if you have viewed any of the TNA Impact shows? If you have are there any wrestlers that you find to be Top Class wrestlers? Also, are you planning on viewing the Bound for Glory PPV? Thank You.
I would have to disagree with you about cena having an anti-establishment feel to him. I know you have to back your face regardless of your true feelings but geez. I have nothing against the man personally, he is just a sub-par performer. Does this paint a familier picture, punches, shoulder block, five knuckle shuffle, FU or (god help us all) STFU. That is a John Cena match, not his finishing routine but his whole match sometimes. Kind of embarrassing to have that as champion. Its like the WWE has gone in a recession to the eighties. I've never seen WWE go against the grain like they have with Cena. So 3 year old girls(exaggeration) cheer for him, and this is merit to stick with him? The problem is Cena doesn't overcome any odds. The most popular champions didn't have one wall to break down but many. Mankind and Austin had to overcome Vince and the whole Corporation which included Kane and the Rock. Cena overcoming Edge(who has earned serious respect since Venegence) and Lita??!!! Wow thats incredible. The problem wih everybody right now is that they take themselves too seriously. Kurt Angle stopped being funny when he tried to portray himself as this unstoppable force(goldberg *cough*). What happened to the funny Kurt, the one that did that mock interview with The Rock, priceless. I loved Edge and Orton as DX, I'm a huge Michaels fan and Orton did his entrance flawlessly. I know Shawn has kind of turned into a dork recently since he changed his life around, which is for the best definitly, but we all kind of miss his arrogance. Someone needs to polish Shelton on the mic because its a waste of talant. Oh and Nitro, geez K-fed was better on the mic, and K-fed is garbage. Sorry for all this criticism but I'm tired of explaining to people of how good things were before 2003. Also, the more you guys divide the title up the less meaning it has. It needs to be unified. HHH and Brock were the last two champions for either belt that gave the championships legitimacy. But this is getting pretty preachy, so have a great day, Wrestling will never be the same when you and King retire. PS Tell King to go back to his Face bashing self, it was more funny when he supported the heels through hell or high water. For example when Chyna threw the powder in Sgt. Slaughter's face at WM14, and King said Slaughter must have said something dirty to her, awesome.
hi jr dont know if you will ever get this but hey! ive been a huge wrestling fan over the many years (prob wrestlemania 6) and have loved the build since then. no doubt when it hit amazing heights in my view around 98-well just before the travisty that was "invasion"!! austin, rock, foley, y2j, owen(rip), new age outlaws, taker(on a full time basis - an that return at judgement day 2000 - amazing),hhh doing anything it takes to get to the top(what a heel) and a young developing legend that was called Kurt angle. there are so many more from this i cant remeber ( even the first match at the ppv was classic) i remember staying up on college nights with the lads in england at 1 o clock in morning loving gasping with disbelief at everything we would see and amazed at the storylines.i would read internet sites finding out what had happened backstage what was planned for the future and coudnt wait for monday's. the company should be very proud. the problem for me now is i just dont care!! in the nicest possible way i 100% respect what these guys do (travelling, body's on the line every night) but where's the austins raising hell and fighting the losing battle, the charismatic rock's, the love of the business like the foley's who every night done what it takes to make the fan go "wow". the pure dirtyness of hhh not giving a rats ass who's tail he steeped on to get to the top,the pure roughness of the undertaker who was then is now just aww inspiring. when i say i dont care its because i dont care if cena loses he goes to smackdown or ken kennedy has baten all there is on s/down and i hate what there doing to guerrero name!! there are sum great talents still about - benoit(legend) but he is so under used and i dont know why?? i understand why angle was let go (crying shame as he really was the business) but i understand why he had to be let go. taker still there only on part time though. batista's great lookin as an animal but will people talk about this guy in 5 years time and say wow remember his match at ........unlike austin and angle feud WOW!!! cena well he is ok but again he douesnt draw me back to my chair or think oh my god ive got to catch raw tonight!! why would i?? im sorry i know your an important man who is very busy but i really hope something comes of this but if not at least you will read this and understand my current anger with the product which i love and i dont just wanna lose it cos sum people just arent that good enough. thanks for your time sir David Crawford p.s Long Live Austin (oh how i miss that guy!!!)
Hello JR! I must say that I'm a big fan of your play by play. There is a big difference between a wrestling play by play guy, and a sports entertainment play by play guy, but you seem to be able to take the best of both worlds and melt them together in a way that is acceptable to corperate, yet also easy on the pallete for those of us watching from home. When it comes to the big matches like the Stonecold VS The Rock type of matches, or my personal favorite that you called, the Jeff Hardy Vs Undertaker Ladder match, you have me on the edge of my seat. The art that the wrestlers preform in the ring speaks for itself... but you definately help drive home the awesomeness of what the viewer is watching. Thanks for that. Also, I'm happy to see the level of competetion on an in ring basis increasing on raw. I've seen Carlito doing things in that ring that are making me interested in wrestling again. Not the sports entertainment part of it mind you, but the actual artistic beauty that is conveyed through real in ring talent. Take care, -Tom
Hey J.R., you are the best announcer since the late great Gorilla Monsoon. I just wanted to tell that to you. Also, what flavor of your Barbecue sauce is the best. Take care, and keep up the great work.
Hey JR, I'm a huge fan of yours and i was just wondering what are your thoughts about Kurt Angle jumping over to TNA? And is there any news about Stone Cold Steve Austin coming back to WWE? Justin
J.R. What are your thoughts if "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown were to come to WWE from TNA ? That is if you have seen his work. Also, do you have any wishes for upcoming WWE DVD's? , my two are an Owen Hart tribute with maybe 3 discs , disc one a featurette on the life and career with input from family and colleagues , disc two, his best matches , and disc three the RAW tribute show in its entirety .... the second DVD on my "want to see list" would be , the rise and fall of WCW , done in the same way as the ECW release. Also, I am ordering your BBQ sauce , I hope its good because in my personal taste and opinion, there isn't one out there that has matched up with "Sweet Baby Ray's" take care and keep the faith in the fading and adrian peterson-less oklahoma sooners CWK
I find it interesting that a couple minutes into Raw I comment on the usenet newgroup rec.sport.pro-wrestling about "the herpes or JR's BBQ Sauce on JR's lip" and later in the show JBL mentions both. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd claim the person feeding lines into JBL's headset was skimming RSPW looking for banter content. And for the record, I prefer hearing announcers talk about the matches rather than bickering among themselves, but we know which of those Vince likes better.
I just read that Vince McMahon hated the Test vs. RVD match on ECW because he hates hardcore wrestling. However, I know that many fans and I thought that that match was one of the best matches on television in awhile. So my question is this, is Vince McMahon not in tune with the fans and not with the times? It seems like lately, he has been doing only what he wants and what he sees fit, yet the product seems stale and not what today's wrestling fan is looking for.
J.R; I love reading your blogs and I think it's great that you try to answer questions from your readers. In that spirit I wish to ask you to elaborate on the topic of wrestling managers. I too feel that the art of managing is going the way of the Doe-doe, however there are some obvious glimmers of hope. In my own opinion, Armando Estradas does a fantastic job of getting Umaga over. He is very often one of my favorite parts of RAW. Melina has also done some fantastic work. I overheard a friend of mine say "God I hate that Melina! She ticks me off so much!" to which I had to laugh and say "Then she's doing her job correctly." Davari is also veyr entertaining and I am anxious for him to take on another client very soon. I would however be remissed if I didn't ask your opinion on some managers I feel have some great abilities that are not currently with the WWE brand. I happen to be a very big fan of Father James Mitchell of the former ECW fame and current TNA fame. I also felt Coach Scott D'Amore did a great job working as the coach of Team Canada...Sometimes over the top, but some would say the same of Jim Cornette. On the independant circuit I enjoy the work of Prince Nana and honestly feel he would be a great fit in the WWE. Jade Chueng and Jessy Jones have also shown some great potential in my opinion. J.R I would love to hear your opinions on these individuals or even on any uprising managers that I haven't had the pleasure of seeing (perhaps OVW and DSW has some hidden gems?). I would also love to hear your opinion on what makes a good or even a great manager. Thank you for your time. God bless.
Hey J.R, have you ever visited mexico? How can i get your sauces here in Mexico? They seem to be yummy
Sarah Stock would make a great addition for ECW and she could be introduced as Test's new valet. Also, Jody Fleisch, Brent Albright, Seth Skyfire, and Antonio Mestre would make great additions the brand.
What happened to the WCW Powerplant? Does Chris Benoit own it? Why doesn't Vince McMahon like Francine's look and was that the reason why she was fired? I miss the Boogeyman, each time when William Regal would say over and over, "All hail King Booker" I'd miss the Boogeyman and his nightcrawlers. Glad he was given a second chance and that he is getting some extra help at Booker T's training school.
hi JR. yet another guy from the UK here. This time Blackpool. Yeah, where Regal's from. anyways, i have a couple of quick questions, and i hope you spot them and can answer amongst this quagmire of messages. first of all, wwe 24/7 is not available over here in blighty. any chance of sorting something out with sky? i know there's a great many of us that would love to watch. maybe even subscribe. the second question is with regards to dvd's. i am a massive fan of Wrestlecrap (ever had a nosey there?). the late great John Tenta was a regular poster on the forums, and indeed, a friend to all that visited the site. are there any plans to release tribute dvd's, not just to him, but also to many other late great superstars that paved the way for todays generation. Big Boss Man also springs to mind. Again, I am sure there are many people the world over that would be honoured to place these in amongst their collections. thanks in advance for your reply (well, fingers crossed)
Hey JR, this is KJ from CT. I just wanted to know your opinion. I heard somewhere about the talks of making ECW just an expansion of Raw and Smackdown. It went on to claim Vince McMahon isn't a fan of hardcore wrestling and in fact hates it. I asked myself, why on earth would he try to recreate ECW then? Just wanted to know what you think about this situation. Also, I wanted to know your thoughts on these diva events on raw lately. I would personally like to see them wrestle more. I've seen a few of Victoria's matches, she definetly has the charisma and in-ring talent to be a heel Womans Champ. She reminds me of a smaller, better looking Chyna that can actually wrestle. Also, I don't understand why Torrie Wilson lost to Melena, Torrie has been showing that practice pays off. Just a few weeks ago she had an actual wrestling match and was pretty impressive, don't understand why Melena is getting the push when she looks like she hardly knows what shes doing in the ring. I know they are suppose to be beautiful divas but I mean c'mon. Look at Mickie James, just because shes hot doesn't mean she can't wrestle too. I think thats why the title is 'frowned upon' a bit by viewers. Its been around for decades yet it gets less respect than the old WWF European Title. Our champs get determined by who can climb a pole in their under garments and get a paddle to spank the loser. (not that I have a problem with it, but still, is this an american gladiator spinoff?) P.S. Back to the divas, I think its hilarious how you try and get King to relax when the divas come out. The funniest thing is that you're trying to help him from embarassing himself on national television. It was funny years ago but sometimes it gets a little creepy seeing as how old hes getting, haha. Love your work JR.
jr do you think it would be possible to see a NWA/WCW Legacy dvd set i think it would break dvd sales records to you think this would ever happen because it would be a HUGE blissing to see that come true i know i would be 1st in line to buy it take it easy Jim
Is it still a possibility for Chris Jericho to come back to WWE? I was just at TNAwrestling.com and they have a link on there advertising FOZZY's new video for some song. Does this mean that Chris is in TNA? It is very disheartening to see. Don't get me wrong, I love WWE...but if it is true that Chris Jericho is potentially signing with TNA, this has got to be another huge blow to WWE. I always thought that Chris would go to the WWE Hall of Fame, someday. Then again, he hasn't been on TV since Summerslam last year, so maybe it's not. But Chris Jericho is a tremendous talent. Also, Matt Hardy...that guy is talented, but is not focused on being a champion, in my opinion. He seems too preocuppied with a 'potential reunion' with his brother, Jeff. What can Matt Hardy do to transform himself, a' la Edge...to put him over the top and in the main event picture? I tell you, he should stop doing that stupid 'finishing move'...the Twist of Fate. He wastes time pandering with the crowd and isn't focused on his matches. Eddie Guerrero was the same way, until he came back from rehab, an absolute animal! No wasted movement, remember? Take care, J.R. You're the man!!!
JR, what are the chances of the Texas Rattle Snake returning for one more match at Wrestlemania 23? Keep up the great blogs!
With Jow and umaga I just think the feud/program would be very intresting if it is done right(like any program. ) I think the two working together would be very entraining at least to me(Maybe not others). I love the interaction you provide via your blog for the fans of wrestling. This is something i think the WWE website needs. Thanks for reading.
Hey Jr, I have to say that I really appreciate the fact that you've taken the time to open up your own website and have an outlet for the wrestling fans give some feedback of not just the WWE, but wrestling around the world. I think your honesty should be destributed to the WWE. I understand Vince doesn't like to discuss other company's other than it's own but that's what drew me to the WWE when I started watching it again in '96. I had stopped watching wrestling all together in '92. Even when WCW was making waves with the NWO, I continued to watch the WWE because I felt the WWE had a better producr and built a better show. I hate to say this but TNA, right now, has a fantastic show. The great thing about TNA is that one fued leads into another and every wrestler in their staff has a storyline unlike the WWE where alot of wrestlers, I feel, are lost in the shuffle. One HUGE mistake you guys made is releasing Francine from her ECW / WWE contract. She could have helped develop the Divas to become more of factor to the WWE storylines rather than just having them naked all the time. Which I don't mind looking at but how many times can you look at a naked woman on TV before you can get bored. The next step you're going to have to make is delivering the Divas into our homes personally..LOL Anyway, thank you JR. I really like your contributions to pro wrestling and the passion you display. God bless..
can not belive i wrote loads about my thoughts on wwe i clicked on back and it went off gutted i was on bout an hour i will write again soon however i have wrote what i would enjoy seeing and a relistic line up of wrestlemaina 23 plase respongd on what u think JR i have a funny feeling you will not be able to respond on it. WWE WRESTLEMANIA 23 World Heavyweight Championship Undertaker vs. Batista Hulk Hogan vs. Big Show WWE Championship Cena vs. Orton Edge vs. Triple H ECW Championship - Extreme Rules RVD vs. Sabu Inter-Promotional Match Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga No Holds Barred Match Mick Foley vs. Vince McMahon Inter-Promotional Money in the Bank Ladder Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Carlito vs. Shawn Michaels vs. CM Punk vs. Test Inter-Promotional Match London & Kendrick vs. Hardy Boyz United States Championship Match Benoit vs. Finlay vs. Kane vs. King Booker
JR, I'd really like to know your oppinion on some young talents that you've seen either in dark matches or on heat. teddy hart, colt cabana and nick berk. also have you ever heard of the briscoe brothers I'm not sure if theres any relation to gerald, but there a great young team. another question for you , when the new ecw began I heard that you guys signed joel and jose maximo a team called S.A.T, is there any truth to that?
Hey JR Plz tell me this is'nt true i read a rumor that Vince mcmahon hated The RVD/TestExtreme Match from ECW on Sci - Fi i dont get it it was the best new ecw match i have seen and i read vince hated it and he hates hardcore matches is this true and would'nt it make vince a hypocrite if it is
JR - Firstly can I say its great that you have aforum such as this to air your views and peak candidly with your fans and more importantly WWE fans. My question to you is regarding WWE in the UK. Having the WWE back over here for TV taping in the last couple of years is awesome. I have been unable to attend TV tapings personally, but I always think that from watching WWE on TV when the shows are in UK or Canada in specific the crowd always seem hotter. I also have very fond memories of the 1992 Summerslam at Wembley Stadium, culminating it was was arguably (definitely in my opinion) the greatest match of all time, between Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith. The WWE have made a lot in the past about going back to old stamping grounds for Wrestlemania, such as having WM10 at MSG, returning in the past for Mania in Toronto's SkyDome, and also next year to Detroit, site where Hulk Hogan famously bested the late, great Andre the Giant. So what about a 15 year anniversary of Wrestlemania in the UK? Summerslam in the UK, 2007. I don't know if the new Wembley Stadium will be built by then, but there are many other great stadia here (Millenium Stadium in Cardiff would be a great option too. So maybe thats too soon, but what do you think are the chances of the loyal UK fanbase getting a UK PPV anytime soon. Thanks JR, Rob
Wow, we are 8 hours ahead of you.
Quit bigging up your "states" and support your country! ENGLAND RULES! Therefore the greatest WWE superstar at present is..... WILLIAM REGAL!!!!
This is a Reply to Not So Fast's Posting....... Not So Fast there, Not so Fast. I'm a Twenty Three year fan of wrestling at Twenty Seven Years of age. In that time I have seen certain things rehashed time to time, to tell you the truth though, It can help to remind me of why I am a fan in the first place. Cliques have been apart of wrestling from the Golden Age. The Fabulous Kangaroos, The Blackjacks, The Briscoes, The Koloffs, The Wild Samoans, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation , Demolition, The Rockers, The Rock N Roll Express, The Midnight Express,The Freebirds, The Stiener Brothers & The Road Warriors ALL Parallel eachother in some ways. To Myself Though, Its a matter of good chemistry. Super Cliques Like DX, nWo, The Four Horseman, Evolution, The Radicals and even The Dangerous Alliance are on the same wavelength. That wavelength is to Put an ass in a seat every eighteen inches. Teams or Units that could not convey this to fans were phased out in due time. About John Cena, I have attended wrestling cards and the reaction to him is usually split right down the middle. His Ring Persona NEEDS some Tweaking. I Can See what WWE see's in him though, A Tremendous Upside. He Does need a compelling story. More like 50 Cent, less like Semper Fi. Which Eventually The Rock had a compelling story, as did Steve Austin, as did The members collectively of the nWo & DX. It Takes Time. The Booking Team and The Writers in WWE Know This because if they didnt there would be a lot more Hot Shot Booking and they would be diluting the long term investment in the business sense. You Cant Blame Johnny Ace For Not Single Handedly creating Wrestlings next Boom Period. About the Divas, When I Channel Surf and I See a Voluptious Women on my TV Screen, I out of Instinct Stop. This is Good Business Attracting Casual Fans. These Women are Very attractive and they are supposed to be over the top! It Entertainment! Im Glad that they dont look like the women at the local 7-11. Also, Elizabeth, Sherri Martel, to Stacy Keibler, & Melina. Again, another parallel. So in Closing, Not so Fast, BE A FAN, and Enjoy YOUR Eighteen Inches. Its Not Capitol Hill, Its Sports Entertainment. To Jim Ross, Your Parallel is with Gordon Solie. The Gold Standard of Wrestling Announcers. I will keep Further postings shortened for times sake and I will chill in my very own eighteen inches. Go Boise State. Thank You
Hey JR, just wanted to say that you did a great job as being the unbias commentator on the Family Reunion. JBL was just getting on my nerves (could they just release him or something?). Now for a few quick questions: 1. Who do you think will take another swing at Taker's Wrestlemania perfection? Is there anyone in the business currently who could beat him? 2. Do supermarkets sell your bbq sauce? I hope so. 3. I've noticed that apart from the spinner belt and some of the clothes, John Cena's been pulling away from the white rapper persona on RAW. I just wondered if there might be a new image for him to run with, especially after The Marine. 4. When will they get rid of the spinner belt? It's a tad silly, especially when you see so many stars gunnin' for it. 5. Lastly (I said a few, and obviously that didn't work out *insert laugh) when do you think that WWE will start utilizing Kane again? It just seems to me that there are a bunch of stars (CM Punk, Kane, Undertaker, for example) that are doing middle matches when they could easily compete in main events. I don't want to sound like I'm judging or even critiquing WWE, since I couldn't do the stuff ya'll do even if I tried. I just really want to see the wrestlers that don't main event but should, since it seems like the same stars are always main eventing (take the Lashley, Batista, Finlay thing on Smackdown! this Friday). That's all the questions that I have, and I apologize for having it be so long *laughes*. Oh, and Joey Styles doesn't know what Boomers Sooner means, I don't think. Hope you're having a hell of a good time with life, Luci
jr, hi sorry another quick question, i heard on the news last night that adrian peterson is done for the season due to a collarbone injury, can you please confirm that for me? i know sometimes the media gets things wrong. it was an awesome game saturday i am a big sooner fan and your right in one of your blogs, i wouldnt trade bob stoops either he is an awesome coach, i have been a fan of the sooners for 8 years now. if you talk to adrian peterson please tell him that im praying for his recovery, keep his head up, and i know real soon we will see number 28 out there again. God Bless JR Is # 1
J.R. Now that Kane's gone from the RAW roster, will we ever hear an inside joke about King's dentist? I've been waiting years for something to pop up about it.
A few quick points. DX is absolutely an nWo ripoff. The fans aren’t stupid. Why can’t WWE do something original? As in, not ripping off a WCW or NWA idea? Evolution was a 4 Horsemen rippoff. The Rockers were a R’n'R Express rippoff. Demolition was a (bad) Road Warriors rippoff. DX is an nWo rippoff. Ad nauseum. If you want to keep fans, WWE needs to consider a couple of things. Such as, STOP cramming Cena down our throats! We don’t like him. We HATE that spinner belt. Nobody liked Vanilla Ice and nobody likes Cena. Same thing. The “Diva”s. STOP assuming that 20 women who look exactly alike are at all interesting to us. Even the Vampire has a tan! WTF? Six pound women with no hips, fake breasts and leather skin are not sexy. We’re not tuning in to see strippers, maybe try letting a few of them wrestle. I didn’t say “slap fight/ hair pull/ bra and panties matches”, I said “wrestle”. Joey Styles. CM Punk is not a “follower of the straight edge lifestyle”. Thorn is not a “follower of vampirism”. Shut up. You’re an idiot. Should we say that you’re a “follower of color commentatorism”? Stop talking. Punk is straight edge. Thorn is a vampire. The end. Quit adding unnecessary adjectives. IF you’re going to talk about the nWo? Bring them back. Even if it’s just a couple of current roster members. *coughOrtonEdgecough* WWE should have booked DX VS nWo years ago. Just do it already. And Lawler. Yeah. We get it. You’re a hick. You like breasts. Wow. That’s clever of you, liking breasts and all. Great. Think you could shut up about it now? If you spend half the time you spend on misogynist psycho-babble on buying some Rogaine and reading a few books women might actually want to talk to you. All the “diva searches” and “try outs” and “tough enough”. Maybe give all of that a rest for a year or two and concentrate on bringing in new WRITERS. Quit ignoring people who write in with story ideas. That would be a step in the right direction. When Matt Hardy is stuck wrestling jokers like Helms and Kennedy and some boring old fart like Findlay is getting title shots and Gene Snitsky has been reduced to the foot fetish guy, it’s time for WWE to start firing writers. Are you sure Russo isn’t still with the company? I mean, London and Kendrick still have the tag titles? Who came up with that plan? Is WWE so concerned with our bladders that they think we need 14 pee breaks per show? 365 house shows a year? No wonder everybody’s on the injured list. Let your talent GO HOME once in a while. No wonder Scott Hall was sleeping in the locker room. Enough with the unnecessary touring. If you guys really cared about your wrestlers you’d take on a more WCW-like schedule. Why do you insist on called it “sports entertainment”? That’s just an XFL throwback term. A Vinnie Mac failure. Let it go. It’s professioanl wrestling. I mean, it’s not “World Sports Entertainment Entertainment” is it? WSEE? No. WWE. Let’s stop ignoring the second W. And the E for that matter. And finally, John Laurinaitis. Do you hate your “superstars”? Fire this jackass. As if being forced to grovel at Triple H’s feet wasn’t insulting enough. Now they have to bow down and kiss Johnny Ace’s ass. That’s ridiculous.
Hi JR. Thanks for responding. I no lonnger am active duty military having retired after 20 years and then deciding to stay in japan. I like you do not see why some people compare Samoa Joe and Umaga. They both are good talents but Samoa Joe in my opinon is the better pure wrestler. Umaga is good at what he does as a monster heel but Joe has the better interview skills and I think he matches up with more types of wrestlers,ie he can wrestle cruiserweight style matches, technical matches and hardcore brawls eaqualy and Umaga is more of just a smashmouth brawling type wrestler. Keep up the good work.
J.R., what is your opinion on the main event for wrestlemania 23? i have a sinking feeling that austin vs. hogan will not happen due to whatever reason. please talk to stone cold and tell him that this would be the final piece of the puzzle to end his legacy in the wwe. can't both superstars check their ego's at the door for the sake of the fans...this would be as you like to call a "wrestlemania moment" we have seen big show vs. hogan to many times in wcw to care hogan vs. austin is the last dream match wwe loyalists want to see..please help make it happen...the rock could even be the special referee to truly have the 3 biggest icons this industry has ever seen! what do u think? thanks, J.R.
hey there JR,I was watching an episode of smackdown recently and i happened to notice none other than ricky the dragon steamboat splitting up a brawl beatween some of smackdowns finest and i was just wondering what is the chance's of him stepping back in the ring one more time? id love to see him have a legends match with ric flair at a big PPV as iv wasnt around during the days of their infamous rivalry but iv seen plenty of tapes and i know id love to see an other one of their great matches.
Do you still feel the effects of being burned by Kane??
wow, first 15 to reply. I'm getting good! JR JR JR JR JR JR JR
HEY JR! Firstly, I have a few things I am curious about. 1. Could you possibly persuade The Rock to appear live in the WWE? He wouldn't have to wrestle. I would love to see a confrontation with Cena. 2. Is it me or have WWE live attendances gone way down? Smackdown now only gets barely 3500-4000 fans in attendance. I'm sure Michael Cole used to welcome us to a sold out arena. Am I right? Only the "supershows" nowadays seem to create large crowds. 3. Will we ever see a UK based PPV? Thanks for reading this. I've never had a response before so Im hoping by being one of the first 40/50 to reply you will atleast read my views. You are a true wwe legend!
Hi JR, love your work! About the Tag Team Division, why not ship the only 2 teams left on Smackdown to RAW, unified the titles and make one credible tag team division like the good old days of Edge/Christian, The Hardyz & The Dudleyz? And Anthony, I'm with you, a Chris Jericho DVD set would be awesome!
Greetings J.R., I am not sporting a Black Resistol Hat like yourself, I am Sporting my Detroit Tigers Ballcap. I Actually have a couple of questions for you. 1. John Cena is a Great Commodity for WWE. The Marketing Machine is behind him tenfold with the release of "The Marine". For Quite awhile there has been a mixed reaction for him amongst wrestling fans. Do you personally think that he would be utilized better as a "Shade of Grey" Character much like Steve Austin? I think that his character depth could allow for an interesting Anti-hero. 2. A Few Weeks Ago, You made a Reference at "The King's" Cousin, The Honky Tonk Man. With the Influx of WWE Legends on recent programming, Do You think that possibly Honky may make a future WWE Legend Appeareance? 3.Finally, You Love The Sooners, Im curious to hear your opinions of My Alma Mater, The Boise State Bronco's? Thank you for your time,J.R.
sorry I have posted twice, making this the third. I will no do this in the future.
Dear JR, you are a Supreme Announcer. Even Michael Cole and JBL should bow before you! HEHE. Anyway, now that Kane is on Smackdown. I want to ask you if he will be missed at Raw and would he in the future be reunited with his older brother, the Undertaker to once again form The Brothers of Destruction. I can smell the chance since Triple H and Shawn Michaels have reunited under DX.
Hey JR, What do you think about a Chris Jericho DVD set. Since WWE has his footage from WWF/E, WCW, SMW and ECW plus they could get some footage from Japan like they did for Chris Benoit's DVD set. I t would be an awesome set that fans would love to see. It would probably have to be 3-discs to cover everything.
JR I'd just like to know your thoughts on Colt Cabana and whether he's a good prospect to sign. I personally think he's marketable & talented. I know he might not be as high on the priority list as Bryan Danielson though. I'd like to know your thoughts on ROH in general, Who you would sign if you could and whether you think WWE or just Creative dropped the ball with Scott "The Raven" Levy. Your Fan, Sean Brown, Newcastle, Australia
