Oh, So You Want Feedback, Huh?!

Posted in:
We’re Burning Daylight so let’s get started: CWK- I am sorry I haven’t answered any of your emails. Now I have. Let’s start the process over. Larry- A Trish Stratus DVD is seemingly a lay-up. Trish has a great story to tell. She is missed. Guy- The lack of talent depth is a huge issue in my personal opinion. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t several wrestlers who deserve a chance on the national level but they are not an overabundance of them. My point is when the territory system died so did the best training ground for talent and the talent pool is less now than at any time in my 30 plus years in the biz. If you could see a composite list of talent who are applying for work it would stun you. Not the actual number but the quality of athlete. Gerard- I would be shocked if the Monday Night Raw show doesn’t emanate from Ireland some day. I spent an eventful St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin once and had a ball! Mark- TNA using the WWE as a part of a story line makes no sense to me. I am sure they have their reasons but I would rather devote the valuable TV time promoting my own stars and not providing another brand the “stretch”. Trying to re-create the Monday Night Wars may be a nice goal but it is about 10 years too late. But, then again, I could be wrong. Dave- I will never start a promotion, for the record, because of a lack of funding, a lack of a TV outlet, and most importantly a lack of available talent already not signed with another organization. However, if I did I would probably produce a show with more steak than sizzle meaning more competitive wrestling than talk. That’s just me. Daveyboy- The last I heard of Ahmed Johnson he was still around the Houston area but I have personally lost contact with him. DJ- Don’t believe everything you read on other sites about my contract status. I plan on being in Baltimore Monday night for RAW ready to rock! I have to admit, with my outside business interests increasing and my travel schedule I have not kept up with ROH tapes but I have heard great things about them. Watching ROH is on my list of things to do. Alex/Portugal- I hope you have a great time at the live events coming your way. Just go and have some fun and you have the right idea, don’t overanalyze what you can’t fix. Just enjoy the entertainment provided by some really talented folks. The live events have less talk and more action than the TV shows. Graham- For me to speculate on what country has the best fans would be like asking me which of my two daughters I love the most. I can’t do it. Honestly, there are no “bad fans”. Nonetheless, the UK fans are amazing. Daniel- Someday I will write a blog about “Dream Matches”. Until then, seeing an Austin-Hitman in their prime contest would be awesome as would Undertaker vs. a young Andre the Giant, Flair vs. HBK, Race vs. HHH, Cactus Jack vs. Bruiser Brody, The Briscos vs. The Funks and the possible list could go on and on. Scott/UK- A potential Austin-Hogan match is a LONG shot at best. Not likely to happen. I would love to see it nonetheless but I am not holding my breath awaiting the announcement. Bryan- Thanks for dropping by our BBQ trailer last Saturday. Our crowds have increased weekly and last week we sold out of food! I am sure Stone Cold enjoyed saying hello to you as much as you did to him. We’ll see you next season there. Our restaurant should be open in a few months. We are still working on a Norman location. Patrick- Stone Cold’s Hall of Fame speech will be an awesome one, no doubt. The question is when does Austin go in? 2007, 2008?? God willing I will be there to see it none the less. Josh- The Huskers have had a really nice year. They are a win away from a BCS bowl game. I would love for Texas A&M to upset Texas so OU could butt heads with Nebraska in the Big 12 Title game. I will be in Waco, Texas this Saturday for the OU-Baylor game for the record. Virl- Thanks for ordering our sauces and I am SO happy you like them. That is great to hear! The All State Arena is one of the wrestlers’ favorite arenas because of the seating being so close to the action and the arena holds in the noise made by some of the best fans anywhere. Stone Cold has said on many occasions that the All State Arena in Rosement was his favorite in which to wrestle. I will remember it also for the Country Whipping Match I had with Jonathan Coachman once upon a time that probably set back wrestling at least a decade! Warren-My personal thanks for making the 5 hour drive to Manchester earlier in the week. That is true commitment from a great fan. Cheers!! Stay tuned…more to come. J.R.

That dude needs to learn how to how to write.
I just think it is so dumb how the voodo kim mafia is at the wwe headquarters. Then i heard they challenge the hardy boyz at December to Dismember. I wish they would accept so hardy boyz would kick their ass. WWE is so much better than TNA in every way

HEy JR, sorry if my last comment on here seemed too hostile. Believe me, I did not intend for my words to come off as hostile and aggressive. I'm just an incredibly passionate wrestling fan, I have always been one ever since I was 9 years old. Anyways, a few questions. It's nice to see the WWE actually doing something about the horrible tag team division on Raw by giving the tag team titles to wrestlers that would actually defend the belts. Seriously, if I had to watch another Raw where the Spirit Squad was tag team champs, I would've killed myself. Not only do I find their gimmick totally lame, they defended the tag team title belts like only twice in a span of six months. Maybe even less. When will the tag team division on Raw ever be interesting again? Matt Hardy, when is something going to be done about Matt Hardy? The guy made wrestling history by showing up uninvited to a WWE Raw taping and attacking Edge, Edge of course being the one who Amy (Lita) cheated on Matt with. The whole Edge/Lita/Matt thing which was the talk of the entire online wrestling community at the time was just brought to light LIVE on Monday Night Raw when Matt Hardy interfered a WWE Raw and attacked Edge. Anyone watching Raw during that month knew for a fact that they were ONLY watching RAW FOR THE WHOLE MATT HARDY/EDGE FEUD. My question to you is when is the WWE finally going to give the WWE World Championship push that Matt Hardy deserves? The guy practically helped make the WWE millions by airing his dirty laundry on the internet, fueled the feud between him and Edge and thus unleashing it on live TV for everyone to see, a very justifiable attack that Edge had coming for 2 months. When is the WWE finally going to give him a chance to take the ball and run with it? Is it true that you said Steve Corino, the King of Old School, gave horrible promos? The guys an incredible charismatic guy behind the mic.
J.R.- Is the WWE considering further brand extensions in the distant future? Perhaps a Southern based wrestling program. Thank you very much,
J.R., Thank you for so many great memories. I’m presently in the Army, but many times me and the boys joke that we’d go into wrestling if not for the war. I’m a little different, though. I’ve never wanted to be a wrestler. I’ve always liked the managers, or at least the old school managers, like Jim Cornette, Jimmy Hart, Freddie Blasie, Ted DiBiase, and (let’s be honest) Paul Heyman. You mentioned how the end of the territory system hurt the development of wrestling talent. Where have the truly great “managers” gone? These days, the only managers are eye candy. What happened to managers as talent, and what can someone do to enter the wrestling business from that area? Thanks! Troy
JR, How you doing? I wanted to ask you what you thought about the Mcmahon DVD, and also, Who do you think is the most talented up and coming wrestler in both the mens and womens division. I know you are a busy man but you haven't answered any of my questions and would love it if you could! God Bless and have a happy Thanksgiving!
For all the people whos say that it’s Vince Russos idea for the James Gang to go after Vince McMahon and DX, First thing is that none of you guys work for TNA so you don’t know that it is Russo’s ideas in the first place. Secondly if it was his idea, it has to be passed through Dixie Carter first, so if you want to blame someone for the storyline, blame her. Even if you guys agree or disagree with the storyline, it’s gonna work because of 3 simple words….Controversy Creates Cash.
JR, I don't know if you ever talk to the wrestlers off camera or backstage at work, I just assume that you do. I just wanted to know if you can do me the favor of telling CM Punk that he saved my life. It's about time that there is a good role model out there for society, my last role model was Kurt Cobain. Anyway, I'm not trying to be dramatic, but I'm 25 yrs. old and was a drug addict for 7. I first seen CM Punk in IWA and ROH and got me to quit drugs, drinking, and smoking. Now I'm in the best shape of my life and alive, thats the important part. It was tough, but now I understand the straight edge message, I think it is something like What is the point of being alive if you don't feel the pain that shows you how beautiful life is, and that your pulse is still beating, that your not just in a blurry dream. If there is any way I could contact him by fan mail or like an official website could you please let me know. Or can I give you my info, or give you an actual E-Mail so I could thank him personally. If you could do something along these lines it would mean so much to me. It's not like I am asking for his phone # or home address or anthing like that. I am not a psycho or derranged person like them people on TV.
One Person's Opinion. Given the references that J.R. has made before regarding younger talent not taking the time to learn their craft , I have an opinion on that. The talent not taking the time to learn their craft should in some part be placed on the talents themselves. However , in my opinion , the majority of the blame should be placed on WWE management. First off its very obvious that ALOT of these new talents are being called up from developmental WAY WAY WAY .................. WAY WAY WAY TOO early. So thats a setup for failure right there, someone like Brock Lesnar spent 2 years or more in developmental for WWE before he was called up , and look at the impact he made when he came up to the main roster. But anyways . Another reason that WWE management should be to blame is the way wrestling is portrayed now. I am not talking about storylines , I am talking perception . Now, one of the first things people say when they refer to wrestling is "business" , they call it "the business" , business this and business that. First off it is a sport , which is what it was referred to for many many years . When you hear the word "business" some words immediately come to mind .... corporate ..... money ...... contracts . Now when you hear the word "sport" , you think , passion...... commitment.... selfless. Point is this , if wrestling was referred to as a sport and not as a business , naturally talents would give it their all into their performance , knowing the history of wrestling and developing respect for their colleagues, and gaining motivation to better themselves , their co-workers and the product as a whole. But now , this is what you get . Outside talking on cell phones until they pass out of oxygen deprivation . (Which WWE management seems to do nothing about. How can they complain about it when they have total power to stop it?) Showing up in limo's and dressed in suits to the events , not all but some. Look at the boom period of 98 , 99 , and 2000 . You saw the passion and commitment of Austin , Rock , triple H , undertaker, Jericho ,angle , foley and others. even at that time, the mid card wrestlers were motivated and a huge part of the show, like godfather , new age outlaws , edge and christian among others . Then WWE got all wall street and bought WCW and was more concerned about "brand extension" and being a global business , and now you see how it is now. Its trickled down right to the talent . Its hard to respect those who came before you when its constantly referred to as a business , "why should I care about the veterans, its a business". Its also hard to respect the history of wrestling when your not in training long enough to know the history of wrestling. Its not a business , its a sport , and perception means everything.
With all the wrestlers between the 3 WWE brands, why must we watch the same people fight EVERY WEEK? Kane vs. MVP, Johnny Nitro vs. Matt Hardy. A feud is some promos , some run-ins inside the ring and backstage to build up the audience and then culminates in a match , these aren't even feuds , they are just "lets see how many times we can make these two wreslte before the viewers put their fist through a wall" . Normally , if done correctly , King Booker vs. Batista would be a big match given the position of their characters, but how many times have these 2 wrestled since Batista came back from injury? enough already.
I had to comment that, while it may not make much sense to promote another promotion, like TNA seems to be doing with the WWE, I find the VKM angle to be hilarious! I hope it continues at least half as well as the DX invasion of WCW did.
i was just watching heat and they were showing undertakers matches and it just saddens me to see how he used to look like before with the white face and his eyes rolling back into his head his scary slow movement his sombre personality and his proper scary ring attire which i think he should go back to wearin and then seeing him now with his orange tanned face really crap ring attire that doesnt look good and scary and theres nothing remotely undertaker about him now he just look like a old hillbilly with his stupid attire the reason im talking like this is that hes my favourite wrestler and his whole undertaker gimmic with his attire and his personality is the one that got me into wrestling and it just really hurts me watching him now seeing what he has become i know there must be a reason why he doesnt wear his old ring attire like its not comfortable or something but please can u tell him personally go back to his old attire and and when he cums out for his entrance not to whash his hair because then he looks like he has no hair and he doesnt look good until in the middle of the match when his hair is dry and it gives him his old look back please can you tell him please and the kennedy feud is going nowhere if u really want to make smackdown entertaining again focus more on the wwf originals like undertaker kane matt hardy jeff hardy benoit booker t which and stop focusing on new wrestlers that cant talk on the mike when i see people like sylvan and tatanka kennedy batista who are all really boring and no one watches their matches getting pushed and then people like undertaker like undertaker feuding with kennedy when he should be wwe champion and kane who has been hear for nearly a decade and still in mid card fighting people like mvp a really jr where do the wwe get these guys froma and matt hardy who should be united states champuion fighjting gregory helms for aboout 2 months on the trot really makes me sick do something about it please can YOU do it cause youre the only one thats clever enough and can see whats happening focus more on the originals like hbk hhh bring back y2j kane taker the hardys edge benoit you know what i mean and fire the rest of them focus on these wrestlers here these are the wrestlers that people come to see and i read an article about you rehiring the kings son granmaster sexay in your last act as talent i cant remember your job role and it was sexays own fault for getting fired again and i just like to say to you even though he didnt return but you rehiring the wwf originals that were actually entertaing THANK YOU ITS GOOD TO SEE SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE BUSINESS PLEASW TELL UNDERTAKER WHAT I SAID PLEASE and have u noticed that ive been calling it wwf thats cause ever since the name change wwf has gone downhill can you please reply soon please you didnt reply last time.
Hey J.R. Will WWE Ever come back to Sheffield, England? It's a year ago tomorrow since they rolled into the Hallam FM Arena, and i had a great time. I'm 15, and still in school. With my exams, i can't travel to America, and i lost out on the chance to go see Wrestlemania. The current feeling is that you won't be back until next year, so i was just wondering. A PPV over here would be nice. As i recall, Backlash came here once, with Hogan/Michaels Vs Hassan/Daivari, but that PPV was a one off. I'm talking about a British exclusive PPV, like Insurrextion, for instance. What do you think? Thanks, Rick M. from Sheffield, England.
CWK - You're right... I agree with you about how Austin handled the situation, he shouldn't have walked away. However, (I don't know what Austin's power within WWE at that time, I think being the company's top guy for many years puts some weight on how he should be used. Austin, early on in his WWE career, had to convince Vince of some things that proved effective for WWE, and I think that thing about Brock could have been true. I'm not going to say that jobbing to Brock was a bad decision now because Brock is no longer in the WWE and it was all for naught (hindsight is 20/20, but no good here), but at that time a better buildup between the two could have made more sense in the long run.
JR. you are the best announcer there is. I respect your opinion over the hundreds of self proclaimed internet experts. Is the Raw-Smackdown brand extensions ever going to come to an end? With all the injuries that happen, what is your opion on this?
I did enjoy TNA's primetime debut. I know this has been discussed quite a bit but I want to ask you something about the Billy Gunn/Jesse James segment. Are they serious when they say that they're better wrestlers than Triple H and Shawn Michaels? Nobody gets by on wrestling ability alone but I have got to believe that HHH and HBK are on a whole 'nother level, no matter what you're grading it on.
JR, what do you know about the status of Australian Wrestling stars from the 70's? Like Killer Kowalski and Mario Milano?
I watched Smackdown & was REALLY annoyed by 1 thing, & I mean REALLY annoyed. William Regal comes to the ring to a deafining ovation & Michael Cole says "too bad half the crowd is booing him". Why oh why do WWE think it's fans are stupid? Is it too impossible to say "Regal is from just down the road and is very popular here"? Heck just a few weeks ago Sylvan in Quebec got the same as Regal & there was none of this "half the crowd are booing him" nonsense. Whether he was told to say it or not I'll never know but I just can't picture yourself saying something so ridiculous.
I know you probably won't get to this, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. 1) I was watching the TNA Primetime special, and I saw Angle competing. Let me tell you it was weird to see him wrestle for someone other than the 'E, but because of it I was hypnotized to the TV. I really hope TNA becomes a viable option for wrestling on TV. I'm getting tired of WWE's style. 2) It seems like Russo is back in the creative process. Yeah, TNA has always made potshots against the WWE, but this time it seems very similar to another storyline "VKM" did back in 98 (or 99). Russo seems to always put a lot of WWE potshots in his promos, and probably his writing, and it makes me think, doesn't it make people want to watch WWE? I think that was one of his problems in WCW. He kept making mentions of how people were always screwed in WWF, or how they always do this, or that, and to be honest, it always seemed better than their DQ ladden main event. I think if you ignore the competition, the "blind" fans of yours won't even think about supporting the other guys. But I guess to each his own.
Dear JR, Let me just first saw how much I respect you for announcing so many years, and doing such a good job of it. I'm a Boomer Sooner fan myself, and sadly missed most of the game yesterday (saturday) But that isnt what my question is about. Do you think that some of the wrestlers today arn't getting their fair shake due to the fact that there are no more High Profile managers to talk them up. I mean, look how many careers men like Jimmy Hart and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan helped. Do you think if there were more managers around today, that more wrestlers would be popular. I mean by my count, the only managers I know of are Davari, and Estrada.
JR, is Stone Cold as big a fan of your BBQ sauce as the many fans who have bought from your website? Rest assured, as soon as you ship to the UK I'm ordering. I've been dying to get ringside for a live RAW event or PPV for as long as I can remember, yet you get it every week! Ok my question. Did you catch the TNA, 2 hour special? My honest opinion is the hit a home run... a few things stuck out... but; Would you welcome genuine competition from TNA if it ever happened. Two, Im sure you know Lance Storm runs a wrestling academy, what are your views on why he never "made it big time?"
Dear JR, this is the only time I'll boil over as far a my temper. I just read a story on 24wrestling.com that WWE isn't going to hire women wrestlers. This is a loud of bull. I want to be a woman wrestler but if I have to ware skimpy outfits no way am I about to due that. I ask you why is the woman's roster not good enough for WWE?
JR, What are your thoughts on the self proclaimed genius Vince Russo? Good/Bad? Have you two ever had any problems? I think Lashley is good for ECW and will most likely win the Extreme Elimination Chamber match. I heard that Vince doesnt want him a get such a huge push, even on the C Show, because he's still young and inexperienced to be the top dawg on a show? Probably a rumor. I think he'd be great, he's proved himself with everything else that he had to prove, why can't he be ECW champ? I hope Monty Brown goes to ECW, Brown vs. Lashley a powerhouse dream match, the match would flush that Brock vs. Goldberg match doen the toilet. It is no secret that the Big Show is in pain, in your opinion do you think he should retire, or just take some time off after ECW's December to Dismember? I don't think it's time for the big guy to retire, if anything take time off and then come back to do a light schedule like Mic Foley. The Big Show is just to Big to work a full time schedule, he's not old but for his size, it's almost like being 45 yrs old. Also, I agree with that guy Billy, Nobody, and in my opinion, nobody has ever performed as well as HBK in Big Time Events. I dont know if anyone ever will, except maybe CM Punk in a few years if his career stays on track. To me, CM Punk could be the Shawn Michaels of the next millenium, if he develops some good mic skills and a fuller on screen personality, he'd be the man for the next generation. And if Samoa Joe ever signs with the WWE, then those to will definitly have to be paired against each other. Not only have those to had the best all around wrestling matches in a decade in ROH, but the are the leaders of the next generation in wrestling if they both stay focused on stay on track.
Hei JR I am a big wwe fan from Norway, I went to England to watch Raw and smackdown live this week and it was as awesome that I hoped it will be. I was also lucky enough to be a part of the promo where DX buys all the t-shirts even though I didnt get on tv ( but I got some t-shirts:)). Anyways me and some friends were lucky enough to buy Wrestlemania tickets via the internet so next year or vacation goes to America and especially Detroit on the first of april, hopefully we will be able to catch the following RAW or Smackdown aswell, so my question is this: do you know where those shows will be held? and when tickets go on sale? ( maybe your not the right man to ask but I try anyway.) Personally I think Mr. Kennedy have all the tools to be the biggest star in wrestling and I hope for a Kennedy vs Michaels main event for VM23. And for the record DX is by far the coolest thing in wrestling , the signs and roar of the audience proves that. Best wishes to you and your family JR your blog is great and even read as far away as Norway.
our sooners won, they played a great game, it was cool to see adrian peterson signing autographs after the game, would love to meet him sometime, i think the ou vs. osu game will be a good one, SOONERS ARE THE BEST! oh, also i found 3 more sooner fans here in san antonio, still looking for more
Hey guys, im personally shocked at what TNA is doin with WWE J.R, what is the current stsus of Gangrel? Will we ever see the Brood return?
Joseph--- Steve Austin in that situation was the PERFORMER , it is not his place nor is it really relevant for him to comment on how they would book a match between him and Brock . He at the time was a contracted wrestler, which means his job was to go out there and wrestle ,and live up to his contract . Which he didn't do either of those things. Him saying that it wasn't right to work with Brock on RAW with now build up was something he had no business saying. All the whole thing did was people lose some respect for Austin and give the perception that he is a pain in the neck to work with . He just should have done his job.
i attended the manchester smackdown and raws on monday and tueday, batista got hold of my lightsaber when he was walking down the aisle and done his best star wars impression and tagged me,also my brother met i.r.s. after the show outside, its the little touches like that, that makes it more special,my question this week jim is do you think Batista vs Goldberg at Westlemania will happen one day?
Nice write up JR, I look forward to some feedback if u ever decide to give ROH a try.
J.R., I loved the feel of all of WWE's shows this week.Emanating from the UK gave the shows a very important feel to it.I know nothing of the sport.Nor do I pretend to know.I just know that for the last 25 years I've been entertained and swept up in the action.Let me post a question. With the Spoprts-Entertainment scene in a bit of a plateau. Would it be too crazy for just six months or a year tour Europe, Australia, Asia, Mexico....etc? I know it would be hard on the boys but think of it.The World title actually being defended against the best the World has to offer ooooooooooohhhh too cool.Sorry, Homer moment!!! Again, I don't pretend to know anything and I might be way off. And, I know your hands are tied when it comes to things of this nature.I'm just hoping to get your take.I co-host a sports call in show on an ESPN Radio affilitate and I posted the question. The callers really got behind the idea. Is it plausible? Probably not. But, in six months or a year away from the U.S. the product might just that much fresher. You know what they say "distance makes the heart grow fonder". Thank you for everything you do. GOOOOOO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello J.R. Jerry the king lawler is my favorite wrestler of all time. Are there any rumors of a DVD dedicated to the King? What would you say about the King on the DVD?
Hey JR! Did you watch the TNA Thursday special? And if you did watch it, what did you think? And about when you said that you don't think Teddy Hart isn't signed with anyone......well, you are incorrect sir. Teddy Hart is signed with Wrestling Society X, that MTV promotion that recently started up. What is your opinion of that idea? I heard it wasn't that good (this is from someone who went to one of the tapimngs) and he said that all the wrestlers, musicians, etc. looked disin=terested in being there, and seemed to take the bookings for the quick bucks. Oh well, what can ya do?
Greetings, JR! Keep up the great work with responding to Emails, and of course your BBQ site in general. Just wondering... What are the chances we'll see Gangrel, and Jericho back in a WWE ring again sometime soon? Secondly, last time I wrote I had asked if you have ever seen Alter Boy Luke in action before. He's an INCREDIBLE athlete, and deserves a chance in the "big time" in my opinion. I know he had a dark match for the WWE a few years back, but nothing came of it... Any idea if he's been trying to contact you guys for another try out? Last but not least... I have a slight suggestion for you/this website. How about another section added where people can post their favorite recipe's on here that would include your BBQ sauce(s), of course? have a great day, and I love your BBQ sauce. Went AWESOME in the meatloaf I made a couple weeks ago.
Welcome to Waco JR. Hope you have a good time here and yes I hope OU whomps Baylor. BTW, I caught TNA for the first time last night and was somewhat surprised about all the WWE references made in their story lines. Will there be Hell to pay over that? I attended the Live Raw event here last year although the crowd was kind of thin, my boy and I had a great time. We're looking forward to y'all coming back.
Hey JR! Few questions for you: 1) What bowl do you see the Sooners going to? Because some in the media are picking them or WV to face my team (Clemson) in the Gator. But the Gator is reserved for the #3 ACC team, which Clemson clearly is not. Thoughts? 2) Just a comment: CM Punk and Mr Kennedy are my two favorite wrestlers by far among all the brands. Do you foresee a match between the two? Maybe a face-Punk versus the heel-champion Kennedy? I think their wrestling styles would have great chemistry in the ring, based on what I've seen. 3) What are your thoughts on Cryme Time? I have to say they and Cade/Murdoch are my favorite tag teams on Raw, but neither are currently in the title hunt for the tag belts. Why is that? Sorry for the barrage of questions. BTW, I've requested your Jalapeno BBQ sauce as a stocking stuffer! May do a charcoal smoked turkey with it over Christmas! Marc.
Hi JR. Quick question what ever happenend to the wrestler Max Moon, he wrestled with wwe in the early ninties? I was going through some tapes the other day and saw him on one of them. Oh and what happened to Mo from Men on a Mission? Anyway JR take care glad you had a great time in Manchester.
JR, great blog again! I would just like to comment on the others' comments on this site. Since the Austin-Rock days I watched WWE (missed the whole Invasion era because my cable didn't show it), and I can truly say that that previous era was better than today's. However, I still manage to like the product nowadays with the likes of Triple H, Booker, HBK and Taker still around... CWK, I get your point, but then maybe you don't understand Austin's point. I read his book - of course it's biased for him, but then he made a great point when he said it should have had better and more proper buildup. I mean, he's AUSTIN. Also, from what I know he didn't just stun everyone on his way to greatness. He worked for it until he got to that point... By hastening a match between him and Brock it's just not, according to Austin, "good business". But I agree that his walking out was not right - he could have done it in a better way. I sort of agree with the person (sorry, forgot your name) that the reason why Cena's skills suck is because of his character. I think the booing started around the time he became a figure for kids (and girls). The early Cena would just punk everybody out - now it occurs rarely. Maybe his skills became lost as well. Just a question, JR. Is Cena-Orton in WM23's future? From the RAW standpoint that's a very likely option.
I apologize if this is a late question and has already been asked.I watched cyber sunday live here in the UK and thought you seemed suprised that Dusty Rhodes was not voted Ric Flair's tag team partner.I was dissapointed that Dusty did not win the vote as i think a Rhodes/Flair tag team would be something special to see and hopefully could lead to one more match between the two legends(a Wrestlemania moment if ever there was one.)Hope you are well glad to hear you enjoyed the UK and great to hear how Stone cold is doing.
Hi J.R., Just writing to grab your opinions on a couple of my favorite in ring performers of the past and present. I already know of your opinions on guys like Flair, Steamboat & DiBiase etc. But I'd really like to hear your thoughts on these guys from a pure in ring aspect The Dynamite Kid Fit Finlay William Regal Dave Taylor Johnny Saint Steve Grey Marty Jones And in particular the european style of wrestling as a whole and the old World Of Sports. I have never heard you comment on this and I'd be deeply interested to hear your thoughts. Thank You Matthew James Sydney, Australia
Hey, JR, just wanted to get your opinion on the big red machine himself. Lots of people myself included think of Kane as one of the best big men ever to grace the squared circle. I believe him to be extremely talented in the ring and he can also cut a pretty damn good promo when needed. Always seems to be willing to put younger guys over for the future of the company and also we should be honest and say he has dealt with somewhat questionable storylines very admirably indeed. I would love to See Kane get a lengthy and noteworthy title run before he retires. One title run that lasted only 24 hours for the amount of time he as been with the company just doesnt seem right. Anyway Keep up the good work J.R I hope your sauces get sold in the U.K soon because i would love to try some.
JR not sure if you saw my response to what you said last week or not. I think you had the wrong idea that I just wanted a signed Photo. No I got a picture with you on Feb. 16th, 2004, and I am wondering if there is anyway I can get this picture signed. Maybe possibly at the arena, now that the WWE has announced that Bakersfield, finally after 3 long years of Smackdown, is getting another LIVE RAW on MOnday Feb.19th, 2007. Please let me know.
JR;What do you make of this from TNA? Thanks B.G. James & Kip James ran out and cleared the ring. B.G. said, "We're baaaack." He said they're back because they got "creative control." Kip now has red hair. He said they are now known as "Voodoo Kin Mafia," or KKM for short, and they have permission to do as they damn please. West wondered who gave them that permission. Good question. He said they are declaring war on "you, Paul Leveque, and you, Michael Hickenbottom, and most importantly we're declaring war on you Vincent K. McMahon." West gasped, "Unbelievable!" Kip said: "You brought up Triple Hollywood and Shawn Kiss-My-Bottom." He said they didn't think they were good enough to be with them, but they were always the ones bailing out Paul and Shawn. He said now the company is sinking "faster than the Titanic." He said the reason is, "We are good and the are not." The crowd chanted, "DX sucks." Kip said, "You two are the biggest piece of sh..." B.G. yanked the mic out of his hand and said he is at risk of having his mic privileges revoked. He said to Vinnie Mac that they are bringing war to his front door, and it will be VKM vs. VKM. Tenay said things are going to get really interesting around there
Good morning JR! I hope you're doing well! I wanted to see if maybe you can comment a little on Kurt Angle. Did Kurt Angle really leave the WWE in good terms? Sometimes I feel like Kurt Angle, based from his interviews, he seems like he was bitter at the WWE. On the other hand, I also sometimes feel that he does it to get TNA out in the open. I don't know. I wish we could have seen Kurt Angle -vs- Bret Hart. That's my ultimate dream match. Any feedback on Kurt Angle would be appreciated. He is my ultimate favorite wrestler and performer. =)
Dear Ol J.R, i remember watching you back when you announced the Universal wrestling. Why is there no wrestling talent? I have enjoyed watching you, I will be ordering some of your products, have a great day! Gus
