Oh, So You Want Feedback, Huh?!

We’re Burning Daylight so let’s get started:
CWK- I am sorry I haven’t answered any of your emails. Now I have. Let’s start the process over.
Larry- A Trish Stratus DVD is seemingly a lay-up. Trish has a great story to tell. She is missed.
Guy- The lack of talent depth is a huge issue in my personal opinion. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t several wrestlers who deserve a chance on the national level but they are not an overabundance of them. My point is when the territory system died so did the best training ground for talent and the talent pool is less now than at any time in my 30 plus years in the biz. If you could see a composite list of talent who are applying for work it would stun you. Not the actual number but the quality of athlete.
Gerard- I would be shocked if the Monday Night Raw show doesn’t emanate from Ireland some day. I spent an eventful St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin once and had a ball!
Mark- TNA using the WWE as a part of a story line makes no sense to me. I am sure they have their reasons but I would rather devote the valuable TV time promoting my own stars and not providing another brand the “stretch”. Trying to re-create the Monday Night Wars may be a nice goal but it is about 10 years too late. But, then again, I could be wrong.
Dave- I will never start a promotion, for the record, because of a lack of funding, a lack of a TV outlet, and most importantly a lack of available talent already not signed with another organization. However, if I did I would probably produce a show with more steak than sizzle meaning more competitive wrestling than talk. That’s just me.
Daveyboy- The last I heard of Ahmed Johnson he was still around the Houston area but I have personally lost contact with him.
DJ- Don’t believe everything you read on other sites about my contract status. I plan on being in Baltimore Monday night for RAW ready to rock! I have to admit, with my outside business interests increasing and my travel schedule I have not kept up with ROH tapes but I have heard great things about them. Watching ROH is on my list of things to do.
Alex/Portugal- I hope you have a great time at the live events coming your way. Just go and have some fun and you have the right idea, don’t overanalyze what you can’t fix. Just enjoy the entertainment provided by some really talented folks. The live events have less talk and more action than the TV shows.
Graham- For me to speculate on what country has the best fans would be like asking me which of my two daughters I love the most. I can’t do it. Honestly, there are no “bad fans”. Nonetheless, the UK fans are amazing.
Daniel- Someday I will write a blog about “Dream Matches”. Until then, seeing an Austin-Hitman in their prime contest would be awesome as would Undertaker vs. a young Andre the Giant, Flair vs. HBK, Race vs. HHH, Cactus Jack vs. Bruiser Brody, The Briscos vs. The Funks and the possible list could go on and on.
Scott/UK- A potential Austin-Hogan match is a LONG shot at best. Not likely to happen. I would love to see it nonetheless but I am not holding my breath awaiting the announcement.
Bryan- Thanks for dropping by our BBQ trailer last Saturday. Our crowds have increased weekly and last week we sold out of food! I am sure Stone Cold enjoyed saying hello to you as much as you did to him. We’ll see you next season there. Our restaurant should be open in a few months. We are still working on a Norman location.
Patrick- Stone Cold’s Hall of Fame speech will be an awesome one, no doubt. The question is when does Austin go in? 2007, 2008?? God willing I will be there to see it none the less.
Josh- The Huskers have had a really nice year. They are a win away from a BCS bowl game. I would love for Texas A&M to upset Texas so OU could butt heads with Nebraska in the Big 12 Title game. I will be in Waco, Texas this Saturday for the OU-Baylor game for the record.
Virl- Thanks for ordering our sauces and I am SO happy you like them. That is great to hear! The All State Arena is one of the wrestlers’ favorite arenas because of the seating being so close to the action and the arena holds in the noise made by some of the best fans anywhere. Stone Cold has said on many occasions that the All State Arena in Rosement was his favorite in which to wrestle. I will remember it also for the Country Whipping Match I had with Jonathan Coachman once upon a time that probably set back wrestling at least a decade!
Warren-My personal thanks for making the 5 hour drive to Manchester earlier in the week. That is true commitment from a great fan. Cheers!!
Stay tuned…more to come.
