Dear MR.Ross,
Im hearing rumors that batista will defeat undertaker at wrestlemania, and stop the undertakers undefeated streek and retain the title. To me I believe undertaker should keep his undefeated streek and become the world champ. The reason why im writing you this because, that should be undertakers accomplishment alone .It just wont be fair for the writers to take his accomplishment away.Who is writing the storyline anyway?Dont you think undertaker should keep his undefeated streek in tact? Come on kurt angle never lost at summerslam.Bret Hart held every title.Hogan held the title for 6 years, and bruno SanMartino held it 8 years.big show has been the champ for each brand. All of these are distinct individual achievements are accredited to each of these wrestlers. The undertaker has not had as many title reings as some other great legends. Let this be his own accomplishment that seperate him from everybody else.Im a 14 year old boy who grew up watchin wrestlingwith my fatet, brother, cousins etc.Im very knowlegable of past and present wrestler and their accomplishments. And most importantly im a huge undertaker fan.So i will take this very personally if he loses to batista(LOL).Thank you for your time.
Sincerely yours,
A life long fan
Hey JR, I just wanted to know in the mid-South Days say around 81 or 82, Where did most of the wrestlers stay?? Did all of them stay in a Particular city??---Also, Where did the Rookies train at??--Was there such a place and who trained them??----Why did Bill want to "Beat up" wannna be Wrestlers and who were his "STretchers" so to Speak??---Thanks Nick From Camden, ARkansas
JR,
You shouldn't bother applying for MENSA membership yourself if you think that Ron Simmons "apparently broke the Masterlock" a week ago. You snidely implied that Masters needn't apply for MENSA membership, but it's definitely you who don't fit the MENSA bill as you can't call a match accurately. The Masterlock was not broken - the video easily shows that, and further, the interference by Super Crazy invalidated the whole thing. Do you have any idea why a ref is in the ring? To call the decision, not you. Although lately, it seems like refereeing is waste of time in the WWE. How many times are they going to allow someone to use a sledgehammer without immediate disqualification?
Meanwhile, your use of the term "Con-chair-to" is a disgusting validation of excessive violence that's running rampant on WWE. I'm surprised at your lack of character for participating in this sort of thing.

J.R., Of all announcers in WWE,you are #1,The king #2.It's too bad that you can't do Smackdown and ECW,there's not enough minutes in a week for you to do that.Like you I've had Bell's Palsey and ulcerous colitis,I've been able to over come them just like you, close to the same age too,52.I was upset when Mr.McMahon let you go when you had Bell's Palsey,I got over that finally.Like you I'm a old school wrestling fan,as a kid I saw all the greats-Rocky Jonhson(he knew my whole family by first names),Pat Patterson,Pepper Gomez,The list just goes on and on,that was wrestling.Someday I would like to set down talk with you,but I know you are a busy man.You have your job, your family and your Sooner's,oh and BBQ(had to throw that in for good measure, even though BBQ is off my diet because of a Heart attack. As a disabled Navy veteran(broke back in 3 places,I'm suppose to be in a wheel chair,so i fooled them and bought a Harley),you were the one that made me want to keep walking I could have given up,I didn't,neither did you. Please don't forget our fighting men and women of all branches,it dosen't matter if you support the war or not, they had to put there lives on hold, alot never will never see their families, their fiends or watch WWE again, they paid the price for everybody in this country,it saddens me everytime I hear that another one has been killed,it's not a perfect world.Yes I do tend to go on and on,but it's all from the heart. See you next monday nite, Danny Lamb
Hi J.R., i respect what you have done in the business, i know is a tough topic, but don't you think WWE is overusing big guys despite lack of wrestling ability like The Great Khali or John Cena (even though he's not big). I know Johnny Ace likes better big guys but don't you think WWE is underrating wrestlers that actually can wrestle like Chris Benoit? In my humble opinion, I think fans are starting to miss the wrestling content of WWE..
Master Ross,
What do you think about possibly bringing back The Ministry, or something similar? The Undertaker has been back as the Dead Man for quite a long time now, and Viscera has returned as well. Kane is as evil and destructive as ever, though unfortunately not bearing his mask any longer, and he would go great in a stable like the Ministry was.
It would undoubtedly get a great response from fans, as they all love the Phenom, and he leading a group of evil maniacs sounds amazing. He and Kane have a Brothers of Destruction thing going on again, which is awesome, and that could lead into a new group.
Anyway, thanks for everything J.R.!

Hey J.R., Keep up the good work on RAW each week. I'm 29 years old and have been watching professional wrestling since 1984 and am addicted to it. These are the only programs I consider "must see T.V.". I am looking forward to the Royal Rumble. My prediction is the Undertaker will win. I'm entered in the fantasy wrestling on WWE.com. I live in Iowa so I won't be able to claim any prizes if I would win. Figured I would try and see how I do. You are the voice of RAW and I look forward to it every week. Thanks, from a longtime fan.
Hey, what are the chances of WWE signing Colt Cabana to a contract? He has worked as a jobber a few times and is a great friend of hugely popular CM Punk. I don't know if you've ever seen some of the Punk vs. Cabana matches, but they are some of the best matches you could ever see.
It is like magic.
Any idea on what the situation with Colt is?
Would Savage vs. Flair draw at a Summerslam 2007 card if the Madness returned? I would say, steel cage, in an old-style Blue WWF ring. With the blue cage of course.
If the Megapowers collided one more time, Hollywood Hogan and Randy "Macho King" Savage...how do you think it should be set up creatively? What would your dream storyline be if these two were to tangle in a WWE ring for the final battle?
Do you feel we will get a Best of Luger DVD...featuring his WCW and WWE runs? A lot of people enjoyed the Lex Express run. The main priority is obviously "The Ultimate Randy Savage Anthology" though. Maybe a new 4 disc nWo set would rock the world too.

Hey JR looking forward to RAW later hope its a good one and I'm going to be on tender hooks all night with all these Austin return rumours doing the rounds haha. And even if he doesn't make an appearance tonight so long as you’re still entertaining the hell out of me its all good. One final thought - HBK to win the Rumble! P.S Did you see the Ricky Hatton fight this weekend?

I'm glad you respond to people's comments like the mature adult that you are. In my nearly 20 years of watching professional wrestling, you have established yourself as a broadcasting legend, and one of these days (if that day hasn't already arrived) there will be no hesitation in rattling off Jim Ross along with Gordon Solie and other greats. As a gay fan of pro wrestling (talk about an oppressed minority there--I keep having to tell people that I don't watch because I have the hots for the Great Khali), your commentary has always been great, intelligent, and very fair (for lack of a better term--politically correct is kind of passe now). I remember you talking about Golddust using his opponents' homophobia against them, back when he was feuding with Razor Ramon, and your off-hand remark about a "last transgender standing" match made me smile. It actually kind of saddens me that you're not in charge of talent relations, but I would hope that your life is more fulfilling now than it was when you were in Stamford all week long. I hope you continue to be the voice of Raw for many, many years to come.

JR, i know people ask if the rock will return all of the time but even if he has got a new career do you not think it is a least right for him to make even just one appearence a year such as wrestlmaina to compete in dream matches surly one day of the year cannot hurt his busy schedule too much not cosdering ring rust etc?
Mon, 01/22/2007 - 14:39 — Shaun Dean NEWCASTLE/UK (not verified)
i must say some questions people ask are very stupid if you use some common sense its not hard for example why did vince bring back ecw instead of wcw which i would explain if i could be bothered 2 and also why on earth do people like terkay for he would of never made wwe any money he had no charisma etc meanwhile elijah burke is complete opposite. another thing when i have watched mike tyson talking about wwe he called stone cold steve austin COLD STONE on numerous occasions and at the 1998 royal rumble called shawn micheals an up and coming hungry tiger lol. For the person who wants to no what the rock said to stone cold

JR,
Firstly thanks for taking time each week to reply to our un-ending questions, the Ross report was the best read around and I personally missed it when it went...so having this is excellent.
Anyway I have a question..well two actually
1. What is your favorite wrestlemania match of all time? Its tough but the one you could still watch today and get goosebumps..
My personal favorite is Austin vs Rock 3 at WM 19...which leads me to Question no.2
2. What did the Rock say to Austin at the end of Austin/Rock 3 at WM 19? He pushed Hebner out of the way which i hope was kayfabe and said something to Austin before celebrating. It kills me each time I watch the match to know what was said...do you know by any chance?
Also as a small note - how can I get my hands on some Big Show merchandise? My girls a big sucka for the big fella and a signed photo would really be awesome. Do you know who I contact for something like that.
Anyway - sorry to go on :)
Thank you again for your time and all your hard work..we appreciate every minute

Jr, I would really like to see a bobby heenan dvd, I just think he was the funniest managers of all time, having all his sketches would be a real treat.
thanks
Hey J.R., I just wanted to drop a few comments then a question for ya,
1 - and most importantly, it would be a grave injustice to have Te Undertaker lose at this years wrestlmania. This is one streak that should stay intact.
2 - I agree that there are way too many payperviews. It kills the interest, this is why Sat night Main Event never really succeded like the old days.
3 - I truly hope that Y2J doesnt sign with TNA as i have been hearing. He was and always will be a very bright spot for the WWE
NOW MY QUESTION - Dont you think that this “spinner belt” is a disgrace to the history of the WWE title. Please tell me this was a bad idea and they are waitng for the right time to change it. Wouldnt you agree with me, that this was a mistake. TAKE CARE and KEEP IT REAL…….X
Hi, J.R. Hope all is well. I would just like to get your thoughts on Mr. Kennedy. I think Kennedy is one of the most charismatic guys the WWE has ever seen and I can see him becoming a main event star sooner rather than later. I just wish he would go to RAW and become the #1 player on the greatest program in television history. What do you think of his future, would you like to see him come to RAW, and what do you think his odds are against the Animal Batista this Sunday at the Royal Rumble?
Thanks for your time,
Rick
Hi, J.R. Hope all is well. I would just like to get your thoughts on Mr. Kennedy. I think Kennedy is one of the most charismatic guys the WWE has ever seen and i can see him going places. Hey JR, I totally respect everything you done. I am a 16 year old kid, but I have good writing skills. I want to write a book on the golden age of wrestling, at least as far as I am concern. the stage between wcw ecw and wwe. The type of book I want to write would take an insane amount of research and alot of interviews. I'm not asking you to help me in anyway unless you want to, I am trying to get a hold of Mick Foley, wether that will happen remains to be seen. What advice do you have for me in the department of writing something of this size. I love wrestling, otherwise I would never do something this big. Thanks for hearin what i have to say.
J.R..BIG FAN OF YOURS,,JUST FINISHED WATCHING JIM CROCKETT CUP 87.I ALWAYS WAS A DIE HARD WWE FAN,BUT BEING A WRESTLING FAN TUNED INTO NWA/WCW,AWA ALSO..DO YOU THINK THE IMPACT ON THE 2 COMPANIES WOULD BE LESS IF STING HAD GONE TO THE WWE AND THE WARRIOR TO NWA/WCW?..ALSO YOUR RIGHT,,I TAKE THE BAD WITH THE GOOD,EVEN IF I HATE SOMETHING ON RAW I KNOW A HOMERUN CAN'T BE HIT AT EVERY PITCH..I ALSO THINK THAT IN THE HISTORY OF PRO WRESTLING THE POLITICS IS WHAT KILLS THE COMPANY,WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT TO MAKE MONEY OFF SOMETHING BECOMING HOT,LIKE CHRISTIAN AND JOHN CENA FEW YEARS AGO AND NOW CM PUNK..ALWAYS BE A WWE FAN,AND A FAN OF YOURS,AWESOME JOB.
As much as I admire WWE they made a mistake releasing all of that talent, lots of them were young! I loved Sylvester Terkay, I saw that he could do so much but he was thrown in ECW and wasted, Elijah isn't anything on his own now. He may have alot of talent but he's empty without Terkay! Kurt angle is talking about doing a shoot fight on TNA, so Sylvester could be his opponent.
Also: Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas have to be next champions because I can see a good match between Rated RKO and them. And Mr. Kennedy is indeed up for a big push, CM Punk needs to mid-card for a while before he goes to main event. LET RVD HAVE ANOTHER RUN AS ECW CHAMPION, he's unhappy right now, either now or never guys. And finally, Chris Masters better be good in ECW, he was being teased backstage about his steroid use. Alot of people can be immature.
Hey J.R., it’s great that you post a blog so often, can you answer my questions too? I have a few questions in regards to wrestling. First, I read your last blog about Bruno Sammartino, I think it’s a shame that he wouldn’t want to be inducted into the WWE HOF. I know he has some issues with the WWE and Vince McMahon, but what exactly is the reason why he didn’t except the offer? Next, is Hulk Hogan definently going to be at Wrestlemania? If so who is he wrestling? I hear it’s either Big Show, The Great Kahli, or Stone Cold Steve Austin. Next, how do you feel about this whole “WWE vs. TNA” war? I think WWE will win the war because TNA is weak, they’ve got weak storylines, and weak entertainment, as far as the “sports-entertainment” part of the show goes. I mean I wonder what McMahon was thinking when he heard the “TNA” chants, I personally was pretty offended by it, cause I’m a life-long WWE fan, and for that to happen is just awful. Next, I heard that if the new film “Rocky Balboa” did well, either Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan were going to get a last shot at the WWE Championship, and retire from there, is that true? I would lave to see that happen, Hogan is my favorite wrestler of all time, and for the legendary Flair to get a title shot is worth seeing, cause in my opinion he’s the greatest wrestler of all time. Finally, who is considered as the greatest wrestler of all time? For the most part I think Ric Flair is, but other times I think Lou Thez is the greatest. Your thoughts?
JR, Are you aware of the reason why Vince decided to bring back ECW rather than WCW if he was never planning on recreating the original ECW. Would it not of made more sence to of bought back WCW instead?
Hi Mr. Ross,
Could you please comment on and settle the confusion regarding the location of the Survivor Series 2007 pay-per-view? Several WWE sources, including the WWE Corporate website, have listed Montreal as the location, but WWE Canada president Carl DeMarco stated in the Ottawa Sun newspaper that Miami, Florida will be the location. Seeing as you're a top level executive in WWE, there's no doubt that you'd know what the truth is.
Thanks for your time. Take care.

i was shocked to hear about the death of scott bigelow aka bam bam bigelow he was an amazing wrestler and peformer i will miss him truly rest in peace scott god needed a tough one up there in heavan and he called on scoot
JR - How is Roddy Piper doing? Hope he's doing well. Will he be at the Oregon RAW?
Also... what's the status of Randy Savage being in the Hall of Fame this year???
Hey, JR, hope you read this. You're my favourite commentator on Raw, just ahead of JBL with his fantastic comments, due to my first memories of wrestling being your commentary - AUSTIN! TYSON!
Anywho, onto why I replied. Do you think there's a chance Shawn Michaels could have a new gimmick where he just goes around superkicking everyone, like he did to Todd Grisham on Monday Night? I'd watch that for two straight hours, and just that.
Thanks, and keep up the great work,
Max
Hi Jim Ross I'm a big fan of yours and had a question for you. I'm also a huge fan of the Undertaker what this man has accomplish throughout his years is plain amazing. I know that you don't attend any creative meetings but I was wondering if there are any plans for him to win the World Heavy Title. I would love for him to have one last title run before he
Retires from the ring. I think he would be a great champion. I love the work he does inside the ring. I also need a huge favor from you if its possible. My brother is a HUGE UNDERTAKER as well and his birthday is comming up soon. I was wondering if you could send me an autograph with his picture for my brother it would really mean alot to him. If there is anything you please let me know. you can email me at hudsonbarron@yahoo.com my address is 3993 Berkshire Detroit MI 48224
JR,
What do you make of all these releases? I know there has been a few in the past but this is a house cleaning. I am not saying it is not deserved but the Roster is thin already. I think the Brand Exstention stinks and they should combine them. Flair and Taker should be special occasions not thrown out there every week. I am one of many who also hates the Writing and creative department. I never understood why Johnny Ace a curtain jerker not even mid card status in his prime could get the position he has. I am not expecting you to be able to do anything just venting.

Hi JR its a pleasure to get to write to you.
Do you think TNA would ever be as strong a competitor to WWE that WCW was? Also would you ever consider joining TNA in the future?
JR.
There have been reports that Hulk Hogan will be facing the Great Khali or Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 23. Are these reports true? Who would you like to see Hogan face?
Hey JR, ever since the roster split now five years going I've often wondered why the WWE doesn't make more of an effort to seperate the brands in terms of demographics. With the rise of ECW this year it's even more glaring. Instead of three unique shows, they instead all seem to be the same booking style and more importantly in ring style. Sure Raw has the Divas, and Smackdown the crusierweights (who are minor parts of the show) but looking at the World Champions you have Batista and Lashley. Almost the exact look, wrestling style, and promo skills. Cena is more unique but definetly caters to the same wrestling fans ex. young adults and the rare female fans. My point here is that as a 22-year old fan whose watched since he was four I wonder where I can get my fix of great high impact aggresive wrestling. I assumed ECW but the new ECW has at the very least stayed tame in comparison to the past ECW with very little Hardcore wrestling and looking like the C-Show. Most of my friends have turned to MMA as I'm sure many fans who don't appeal to this generation of wrestling stars have. Will there ever be an effort to win back these fans with some less sports entertainment more wrestling anytime soon. With three shows to work with I don't think trying to give everybody what they want too challenging. Thanks for reading, good luck in crunch time as the road to Wrestlemania starts soon.
jr what wwe release has surprised you the most so far??
also i dont know if vince reads this but if he does please vince fire your talent relation guy i mean come on he has brought no stars in that have been any good and stepped up,its because of him a few of your great superstars in the past have left (i read and heard interviews with the superstars) and he seems to be bringing in mid card wrestlers who dont have the "IT" factor or the size and shape to main event,i really think to get wwe back to the shape it once was and get superstars who will be main eventing in 4-5 years time ,you need to get a talent relation guy who knows what he is doing, like how great J.R used to be. bringing in such superstars as rock, stonecold.lesner and so on

JR-Why is it that the WWE sits on all the WCW footage? Put a DVD out so I can see the best of WCW...and please not that crap you did with the NWO where you actually promoted the Rock and Stone Cold in it. Give me the best of Monday Night Nitro...Give me the best of the company that was way better then the stuff I have to watch now. I know the storylines and mid-card matchups will be better then what's on TV now...so maybe that's why it hasn't been produced. Your writers don't understand wrestling...not one bit...nor does the WWE get their fan anymore. Umaga...the Great Khali, lol...wow it's nice to see the Dungeon of Doom again...that didn't work back in the early 90's...not working now...tell Vince when he wants a real writer give me an email...but I don't have soap opera experience...that's usually the excuse I get back when I apply. I don't miss a damn show on Monday night...because I love wrestling, but the WWE's writing has gotten me to drink heavily, lol!
