As promised, here’s a few of your questions answered before I have to high tail it to the OKC Airport to head to Fresno.
Phil- Who is the next new WWE Superstar? It could be one or more of several individuals. There are many who have potential, but will hopefully not use the tired, lame excuse of the company or other circumstances beyond their control are the only things standing between them and super stardom. To earmark 1-2 stars would put unfair pressure on them and until I see many of the developmental talents in person, I will withhold my guesses. (more…)
Let’s do a little house keeping before we launch into this particular blog.
In the USA, we can ship our sauces to you and are shipping more and more each week. If you are leery of buying things on the internet, don’t be. You will have zero issues here and we do not share our mailing list with anyone. We are in the final stages of testing our international order system, which is really encouraging. We hope to be able to ship our new Beef Jerky line abroad as well as in the States and will know more about that matter in a week or so. We have been working diligently on our line of J.R.’s Beef Jerky and being a beef jerky lover, my dad made homemade jerky when I was a kid, we have developed what I honestly believe is great jerky. I can’t stand dry, chewy jerky with little flavor and ours will compare favorably with any you have tried. Keep an eye out for it coming soon. We are also shipping a great deal of autographed caps which is an affordable item that can make a great gift or keepsake. Check out our online store and as always we sincerely appreciate your business. Our Bar-B-Q eatery is opening in Norman is scheduled for late April or early May, as it now stands, but I will keep everyone apprised of that much anticipated development as info becomes available. Thanks for your interest.
These are some of my thoughts and personal opinion on some of the subjects that seem to be topical these days. (more…)
Let’s get right to business and address some of your comments. By the way, I can’t answer every comment, simply due to a lack of time so please don’t take it personally. Also, I strongly suggest you read some of our archived blogs as I have answered many of the same questions seemingly over and over.
How have I become friends with Steve Austin? The same way anyone else becomes friends with someone, through trust, working through bumps in the road, and having mutual interests all over a long period of time. The wrestling business is not known to produce a large amount of “close friends” as most wrestlers can probably count on one hand their close wrestling friends, but a longer list of acquaintances and associates. Steve and I will be friends long after we are both finished with wrestling. (more…)
Before heading out the door to catch my mail plane to Bakersfield from OKC, I just wanted to do a short updated blog.
These are responses to a handful of your emails:
Yes, Test has been suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Program. I assume this is a 30 violation.
I don’t necessarily see Marty Jannetty back as a full timer in the WWE but I could certainly see Marty as a coach in the developmental system some day.
Please…NO Ding Dongs on Raw unless you’re referring to the chocolate snack cakes of the same name with a cold glass of milk. (more…)
It’s a busy week for yours truly. It started Sunday with a flight to Portland via Denver after starting this leg of the journey in OKC. Then it was the red eye from Portland after Raw Monday night to Chicago to connect to OKC at 6:45 a.m. arriving back in OKC Tuesday morning late due to ice at O’Hare (imagine that). This Thursday it is a 6 a.m. flight to NYC back thru Chicago for a Mick Foley interview in the afternoon followed by a Legends Round Table taping until midnight. Then Friday morning I’m participating in a DVD shoot about famous wrestling families which should be fun. Then it is an afternoon flight from LaGuardia to OKC thru Atlanta arriving home if all goes well around 8 or 9 o’clock Friday night. After a day vegetating on Saturday, I leave Sunday for Bakerfield, California from OKC which has a Phoenix connect both on small “regional jets.” Sitting in a seat made for a much smaller person for TWO legs of the Oklahoma to California flight is going to be torture. After one night in Bakersfield, enjoying room service and cable TV if I’m lucky, the King and I will leave Bakersfield after Monday’s Raw for the 108 mile drive from Bakersfield to LAX to catch red eyes back home. I will be back in OKC on Tuesday morning. Everything I am going to do, once I arrive on site, I will have a blast doing, but it’s the “getting there” aspect of this odyssey that is manageable but not a great deal of fun. (more…)
This should be an interesting read as I flew back to Oklahoma from Portland via Chicago and as I write this I have had little sleep since Sunday night.
Just a quick reminder, we have a limited amount of personally autographed J.R. Cookbooks which as I have said are loaded with wrestling stories and top ten lists. Check it out. Plus we are preparing to introduce a line of premium, world championship level beef jerky in 5 different but delicious flavors. This is a healthy snack that we are really proud of. (more…)
Firstly my thanks to all of you for checking our site and for telling others about us. We are growing at an amazing pace and we owe that to all of you. Also our sauce business is tremendous. Virtually everyone who has tried any of our 4 sauces has written us with glowing feedback. We sincerely feel we produce the best sauces available anywhere and hope that you will give them a try. As we prepare for our eatery to open in Norman, Oklahoma we are staying busy with menu and recipe development as the construction crew is hard at work getting our place ready. We hope to open in late April and will keep you posted as to the progress of this life long dream.
Now, on to your feedback: (more…)

It has taken me almost two days to warm up after our quick trip to Omaha and then on to Sioux City, Iowa this week for Raw. The King and I both flew into Omaha on Monday morning and then made the 90 mile or so drive up to Sioux City for the broadcast. The drive straight up I-29 was through the Iowa country side and reminded me of my days as a young man growing up on our family farm in eastern Oklahoma. But brother was it frigid! I admire the folks who live in cold weather areas and rarely complain about the weather. I got back to Norman and it was 70 degrees and I felt like jumping into our pool. But, I didn’t have the courage to join the “polar bear club.” Severe shrinkage my friends isn’t flattering for a man of my stature! (more…)
