J.R. I'll try to make this a quick as possible. With all the prestige and excitement surrounding the Hall of Fame why in the world is there not an actual wrestling museum/hall of fame such as Cooperstown? It seems like such an easy idea to come about with especially with all the history. Now that WWE owns the rights to various companies the musuem could be split up into different areas. WCW, ECW, AWA, and WWE (3 areas of wwe old school, attitude era, and current era)are just a few sections that could fill out a place. Props (dented chairs, tables, smashed cars, knee braces etc.), outfits (Flair's robe, Hogan's yellow and red, Takers getup all on manequins), championship shadow boxes, luchador masks, a small theatre with wwe film presentations, and even old sets (old raw and smackdown) can be on display, oh and don't forget the gift shop. Just seems with all this talk of the history and prestige of the wrestling business it seems odd there is no place for the fan to go and pay homage to it. While i knew it was a long shot, 2 years ago during the start up of the Hall of Fame ceremony I tried sending a letter inquiring about this subject to various upper level management personal in Conn. asking about this same subject. Hopefully I will have better luck getting a response from you. -Brian Bayer age 27
I live in the United Kingdom and will be flying over with my daughter to attend Wrestlemania this year. My question like many others is whether there will be another major PPV in the UK? You have mentioned the problems of the weather for stadiums like Wembley in London but there is a solution, which is the National Stadium in Cardiff which holds 80,000 people and has a retractable roof in case of bad weather so a PPV could be held at any time of the year!!Is this something that the WWE and yourself would consider? See you at Wrestlemania Kevin
In the past I have noticed that the "old regions" each produced a number of wrestlers with the territories signature style. the most notable to me being the Minnesota, Texas , Memphis, and Calgary brands of wrestler. The styles seemed to be almost as different to one another as Japanese , mexican , Peurto Rican and European Styles. I have always assumed that each major promotion had a main trainer that produced the younger stars and as a result the wrestlers seemed similar. I closely followed Stampede wrestling and new that Stu Hart and his sons worked with alot of guys who became great technical and/ or high flyers. Pair them up with the other regions stars at a grand stage like WWE and you have a diverse mix of talent. Is that what's missing today? It seems like so many guys are just clones of one another. For every Chris Benoit there seems to be a dozen Tyson Tomko's .Could this be a result of so many young wrestlers coming out of the same developmental system(OVW)? Also do you think technical wrestling will continue to get less credibility than a good promo in the future, or will WRESTLING once again be the main focus of the Entertainment? It seems to work in cycles.
It was announced that the ECW December to Dismember PPV only did 90,000 buys hardly surprising seeing as WWE did nothing to prompote the show and only announced two/three matches before the event. If you aint going to do ECW properly then why bother???
Hi JR. 1st of all I would like to say that you are the Gorden Solie of this generation & I watch raw because of you. I see alot of comments regarding Hall of Fame inductees. This person deserves it because or that and so on… It is my understanding that the WWE would like to induct many different classic personalities, but in order to do so, do they not have to first agree to be be inducted or does WWE have the choice to induct who they want without representation for that individual? This may clear up the issue for many who have the question, Why has’nt this wrestler been inducted?. Thank you for all the entertainment you bring me every week.
Hey Mr. Ross. You are truly the best at what you do. Just wondering, Have you ever contributed to any WWE storylines? or character(s) gimmicks? Thanks, Jake
