Sensational Sherri Martel Dead at 49.. and more.. in Today’s Blog.

Posted in:
I received the unfortunate news that WWE Hall of Famer Sensational Sherri Martel died Friday morning, of yet to be determined causes at the age of 49. Sherri was one of the most talented and colorful performers I ever worked with or knew in this business. She was not only an excellent wrestler but evolved into one of the best “manager/valets” ever in the business. Her physicality and toughness may never be matched especially for her gender. Seeing Sherri at the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony last year was a real treat and she had a blast at the weekend’s activities especially visiting with old friends and fans. Sherri’s place in the WWE Hall of Fame is well earned and her exploits in the ring and at ringside will long be remembered. Sherri’s work helped make Shawn Michaels, among others, an even bigger superstar in the WWE. Sherri could out drink, out cuss, and out party most men, and I would venture to say in a fist fight, she could whip more wrestlers than one could ever imagine. The business has lost one of its most colorful characters who came up the hard way, paid her dues, and survived during the territory days to make it to the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania and the WWE Hall of Fame. Rest in peace Sherri, and take it easy on the men folk in heaven. Jim Ross I will now have an abbreviated version of my blog today, and will have a lot longer blog next time, so let’s answer some questions.. Tony- I assume one could make an argument for Cyndi Lauper and Wendi Richter being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I am glad I have NOTHING to do with the selection process even though I still get comments from some who apparently think I do by the way their word their comments. Did you know that Wendi and Hugo Savinovich, were once husband and wife? Yes, THAT Hugo Savinovich of the infamous “Spanish announcer table” fame and former manager of Abdullah the Butcher in Puerto Rico, Jeffro- the WWE has played the Georgia Dome on numerous occasions, but if you are referring to a Wrestlemania in the Georgia Dome, who knows? I think it would be fantastic, as I have many friends in Atlanta from my days there with WCW. I actually helped broadcast the very first Falcons football game ever played in the Dome in 1992. Atlanta was a great city to experience in the 90’s. By the way, does Fat Matt’s Rib Shack still serve up those delicious ribs? Card 1- I think it would be a bad idea to put OVW TV on a national platform because today’s audience is unforgiving and impatient, especially when they perceive things not going well, which would be the case with many of the young kids just getting started. GitRDunn- When the three announce teams work a tri-branded PPV match together, we simply try and maintain some level of eye contact, respect each other and try not to verbally step on one another. It is challenging and it is awfully easy to get into personal debates, but that really doesn’t help the product or put the spotlight on the wrestlers. The story is about what goes on between the ropes, not at the announce table. Announcers that love to talk about themselves and their personal agendas usually don’t make it long term. The goal of any announcer is to tell a compelling story and to embellish the talent in the ring. Andy- I don’t think Kevin Von Erich has any desire to ever wrestle again, nor do I think he will. He may make an occasional appearance some day and I hope that he does, especially in Dallas on July 2? Now that ought to get a few rumors started. I am happy the WWE has acquired the rights to the World Class Library and look forward to re-living the glory days of the promotion. The WWE is working on a DVD about World Class and have interviewed many who lived thru it including KVE, Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts, Gary Hart, and Bill Irwin among others. This release is tentatively scheduled for later this year. The story of the Von Erich Family is one of tragedy and triumph and is actually hard to believe if one did not know it to be true. I still say that the story of the Von Erich Family would make for a great book, perhaps even researched and written by Mick Foley, maybe along with Dennis Brent, who was the WCCW ringside photographer all those years and wrote the programs along with Percy Pringle. WWE purchased the World Class photo library a few years ago, so the book would be well documented with many never-seen-before photos. The story would make an amazing HBO-like documentary as well. Steve- I think King is Coca Cola man, but sometimes we are provided Pepsi products at WWE events and he takes what ever is free. Key word is free. Seriously, King has a large Coca Cola collection of memorabilia in his Memphis home, but for the record no longer keeps large sums of cash in his juke box. Thanks for checking out our site. Our latest Hall of Fame offer is up and running. I personally signed a limited number of shirts and I hope you take advantage of the shirt/Jerky offers we have put together for you. Keep those comments coming and I will continue to try to provide you with some feedback as best I can. I appreciate you all understanding that I cannot respond to everyone, but I will continue to do the best I can. Take care. BOOMER SOONER! J.R.

It's hard to express my feelings regarding thr death of Sherri Russell (Martel) so I'll just quote a Bible verse my mom taught me. (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son for whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life." I truly believe Sherri knew God exists because she was quoted as saying she woke up everyday and thanked God she was still alive. She was referring to a drug problem she was battling.
Poor Sherri...it stinks she passed away at such a young age...im sure she will b remembered... Rest in Peace Sensational Sherri Martel...
Sorry to hear about Sheri's passing, she was something. That's all I can say!!..R.I.P. Sheri
Sensational Sherri and Chris Benoit, both gone so quickly. May they rest in peace. May they look down and know that the world was a better place for them being in it. May they look down and know that their shared passion for sports entertainment has changed lives. May they look down and know no pain of the world before them.
I have to say sherri martel was, is and will always remain sensational to me. As a wrestler and manager she was outstanding. She really knew how to wind the crowd up...they 'hated' her and that just proves how good she was at her job. She has left me with so many amazing memories that thankfully I have on VHS as I don't see WWE releasing anything in her memory, which is a real shame as she is the Ultimate DIVA. She is what I perceive any lady in wrestling should aspire to be. Her draw was not based on looks (although she was very attractive underneath her makeup) but on pure performance talent. The voice, the makeup, the clothes, the punches, slaps, kicks, knees, slams, suplexes...I could watch her do them all 1000 times over and not get bored. You make me smile every day Sherri everyday since I watched you as a boy and I thank you forever. RIP Sensational one.
first i'm a big WWE fan but this thing with Vince is getting old fast they said the limo driver was dead but yet they interview him last week on raw and a friend of mine was at a taping of smack down and happened to see vince in the back getting into a limo
Sherri Martel was one of my favorites growing up.It is such a shock to here this news I just watched her on 24/7 I jst want to say I think Raw should have put together a tribute for her She if anyone in WWE has earned it.You will be misses Sherri R.I.P.
Last saw Sherri at a Legends Show here in Milwaukee.... First saw h er...God....like AwA days..... Whatta Queen.....whatta show... Bless you Sherri.. Bless you too JR...I've ben watching you since the Crockett days with Tony Schivone, and the REAL 4 Horsemen!.... Be safe unK PS this Vince dead thing is a total atrocity...c'mon..really!! Vince is such a jerk.
omg. i can't belive Sherri is Dead , she was my favorite women Wrestler , i would like to say Rest in Paradise you were a awsome Wrestler\Manager say hi to Eddie ! LIKE THEY SAY " THE GOOD DIE YOUNG" R.I.P :(
I, DDT, have been bedridden for much of my life. Sherri Martel was a fine example of why I enjoy my sport so much! Godspeed Sherri, you will be missed by all!-Dan, Modeto, California
I just wanna say that I think that it is so crazy to think that we will never see the "Sensational One" again. She was a woman that didn't care if you were a man or a woman she would tell it like it was and would have the grapefruits to back it up. I know that I looked up to her, she made women feel like they had a voice and that they should use it. I feel greatful that she was inducted to the Hall Of Fame when she was still with us, so that she could enjoy it. God Bless you Sherri, You will forever be "Sensational" to us.
also jr i know you are close friends to steve please please tell him thank you for taking that picture with sherri that day at the hall of fame induction day the day him and sherri made sure that some photography took ther picture together for me (sherri knew that i adored steve and that i hope to someday meet him or just to well maybe hear his voice other then on the screen so she told him of all the stuff i had told her and him and her both took this amazing picture together that i currently have sitting right beside me and again please tell steve Thank you From the bottom of my heart Because Trace says so....... thought that was cool good day
hello jr i have been a friend of sherri's since 2003 when her and i became neighbors here in st. petersburg florida i remmeber it as if it was yesterday her and her husband pulling up in a uhaul truck and unloading it i remember saying to myself "dang she looks familar" so as a couple of days went buy and me still wondering i got the nerve up and asked "arent you" and as quick as i said that she replied by putting her right pointer finger to her lips and replied "shhh dont tell anyone" its a secret so i was like i knew it so almost immedently sherri asked me to come inside and that is when it happpen sherri and i became like sisters we chated about all kinds of wrestling everything from her days with harlem heat to the days with oh so hottie shawn micheals and how she missed being with the guys and girls i asked her well do you every thing you might go back and thats when almost immedently the phone rang she had been informed that she was being inducted into the wwe hall of fame i was like omg here i am in what i thought was a dream here i am sharing the very moment when a legend of wrestling gets the most important carrer news known to anyone in the feild she looked at me and came towards me picked me up in one huge bear hold that trust me i was scared i couldnt breath her husband acually said 'need to let trace go" anyhow sometime had gone by were chating and really sharing things and me watching her home for her so she could do wrestling things when the day came may 2005 my daughter's middle school graduation sherri comes over at like 730 in the morning and glitterflys my daughter up i mean glitterflyed my daughter my daughter after sherri got done with her looked like cinderella sherri put my daughters teirra on and told my daughter something that i still hear as i type this to you "DONT EVER LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT GLITTER YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHEN THE CAMERAS WILL BE WATCHING" my daughter looked at this women whom she adored (not) as the women whom we all knew as sensational but as the women whom was her friend, the women whom was her neighbor, and the women whom she admired so YES my daughter got to know sherri as herself and will always have memories that noone will ever take away nor change well thank you jr for this oppuarnity to speak about sherri our friend and family i as many others will deeply be sadden and deeply miss her thank you sherri RIP my friend we will see each other again
i was shocked to hear about sherri just like i was about miss elizabeth..its a great loss!!!! R. I. P. I love you both at what you represent beautiful women in wrestling inside and out.....
Hello JR. I just wanted to drop by and tell you that during your HOF speech, I was so proud of you that I could hardly stop myself from crying. I have been absolutely livid with Vince every time we had to watch RAW without you or the King. It just isn't the same. When Coach was left on when you returned it was laughable at best listening to him try to keep up with you guys. I ain't from OU, But, BOOMER SOONER anyhow!!!! Keep up the awesome work JR, My family loves you!
Hello JR...............Two quick things to say............Losing Sherri Martel as a person first, and talent second, is a terrible thing to the Wrestling business. She was the role model I think for women wrestlers all over the world and it is proven by the actions of many women wrestlers whom compete in the ring in WWE. The other thing is this storyline on Vince. This storyline may come back to bite WWE bigtime and then again may boost ratings ! Either way, its a Vince masterpiece of promotion of the Sports Entertainment Business. Oh by the way..........you need to argue more with Jerry The King during the show, it makes the Sour Matches go by quicker, and brings out the best in an Announcer Shoot between you guys ! You and Jerry make the show !!!
I just saw RAW, which I rarely do, but since Sensational Sherri Martel is one of my favorite superstars ever I wanted to tune in and see her tribute. To my utter disappointment all that was shown was a 2 second dedication picture of Sherri right before the diva match. What gives? Is this how Hall of Famers are treated? Where is the respect and love? You will sweep this beautiful human being under the rug for a cheap and tasteless storyline about Vince? I really think an answer is needed to all of Sherri's fans because what transpired on RAW (or lack there of) was abhorrent. Will a real tribute me made on television, JR?
J.R., Maybe this is a bit late but I know that of any who knew Sherri you of all probably knew her as well as any did. I've followed the squared circle longer then most people can believe and defend it as the greatest show with every negitive comment made about it. It's the people like her and the Macho Man, Brute Bernard and others who didn't just do it but lived it that makes it so great. I,m almost 48 and have been hooked since my great aunt and uncle took me for the first time to the Starland Arena in Salem Va. That's where i saw Brute wrestle Argintino Apollo and boy was it great. Blood, gore and a crowd full of fans loving every minute of it. If the wrestlers knew now what the others went through 20, 30 and further back from that in years went through to get to the big time, i truely think most wouldn't make it. So to all the falleni think we owe it to say .... Thanks! for the greatest show!
Hey JR I'm very concerned with the tone of voice the announcers use with the whole McMahon angle. When Hercules and Crash Holly died (and others) there literally was no 10 bell salute. There was nothing like that. Its the same tone of voice that was used when Owen Hart died. (and the same when Chyna "was hurt) by Ivory.) The line between real life and wrestling should in this case not be blurred.
Have you considered running a second site devoted to HOF speculation? It seems to be an obsession for most of your fans.
R.I.P. It's very sad to heard the new about Sherri, it's a great loss. Sherri was and will always be "Sensational". either you like her or hate her she'll always find the way to put on a great show. May God Rest Your Soul.
J.R. i just have 1 quick question. why is it that noone has mentioned the driver of Vince's limo? i assume he wasn't getting into a limo without going anywhere.
I give my condolensces to the family of Sherri Martel, she was far too young to be taken away. She was the highlight of last year's HOF. But I agree with a previous reply that given in light of her death, how in the world can WWE continue Vince's "death" angle in light of her passing? I think the "creative" team needs to just drop this angle immediatly. I didn't mind the actual storyline ending of Raw, but the ten-bell salutes and the comments made afterwards by the wrestlers, ala Eddie and Owen, for wrestlers that have ACTUALLY passed on is sickening. I hope someone on that "creative" staff has some class and say okay in light of this, lets just end it, and do what pro wrestling out to be, book wrestlers that fans will pay to see in creative storylines not to insult our intelligence.
Hey JR, I have been a fan of the WWE for over 17 years. I order the pay per views because i feel like i owe it to the wrestlers that have dedicated their lives to entertain us. I have always wanted to be a wrestler but growing up in northern New Jersey is not like living near the Ozarks. I know you dont have time to read all of these but i wanted to say Thank You for coming back and announcing after all that you have been through. You and The King are truly the MAJOR LEAGUE announcers in the WWE. One question I always wanted to ask you. HYPOTHETICALLY, if you had ERIC BISHOFF's power during the "Monday Night Wars". Which wrestlers would you main event to oppose the WWE Main Event wrestlers such as Austin/Rock/Taker/HHH/Foley ect .... ?????
"This stinks Ross, it stinks" - Jesse Ventura hey Ross, Macho has lost 2 valets in the last 4 years. very, very sad. Have you ever called a match in Minnesota somewhere other than Minneapolis/St Paul? condolences on the loss of your friend, sherry. she will be missed! wes
How excited are you about Mr. Kennedy being live on Monday Night Raw? Do you believe, as I do, that he is the fastest rising talent in the WWE?
With all due repect, would you just give us the answers we are all waiting for? What did you think of Vince McMahon dying and many people actually believing in it? Also, on that topic, do you think the angle should stop now since Sherri Martel just passed away? Finally, how about that big Sopranos ending? I know you are a huge fan, but you have yet to comment on it. As for me, I loved it, and am getting chills just thinking about the future possibilties.
just for the record one thing bugs me about the limo blowing up. I think vinced missed an opertunity to really really shock people. yeah the limo blowing up was cool. but wrap your mind around this. What should of happened was vice was back at the draft full force being the biggest tirant ever. all night long messing with everyone and everyone. pissing everyone off. at the end he inraged storms out of the arena saying something like next week everyone is getting fired. then he walks out steps in the limo with out the slow hystoryonics and out of the blew he slams the door and booooooom! then that would of been hot cause vince was being vince. and no one would of suspected a thing. I am not saying i exspected the limo to blow up but how he walk to the ring walked threw the locker room then walked out u knew at some point somthing would happen it was too slow. if it was him stoming out he did that a million times no one would of suspected anything and the shock factor threw the roof. then to top it off have U J.R. screaming along with The King. Everyone rushing out. then have u say at the end My god Take raw off the air Take it off the air. OMG he is Dead He is Dead. can we Cut the Dame Camera. Then it goes black as the lockrrom empties out side. total ChAos people Screaming freaking out. trying to get to the Burning Wreckage. By the way To Sensational Sherri. RIP I enjoyed What u gave to the Business
Sorry to hear of the unfortunate death of "Sensational" Sherri. She was one of the best managers of the 80s WWF. You just loved to hate her, especially when she was Sensational "Queen" Sherri to Randy Savage's "King". I attended the WWE VS. ECW show at the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH. last year and I saw you standing a few feet away from us backstage but I was too afraid to say anything. I've always wanted to meet you! I did meet Joey Styles that night though! What are some of the funniest moments you've broadcast over the last thirteen years in the WWF/E? Those "Stone Cold" VS. Mr. McMahon moments were hilarious and had me laughing so hard I was in tears. Also the DX spoofs of The Nation in 1998 and the 2006 spoof of Vince and Shane are some of my favorite "funny" moments over the years in WWE. Take Care, Alan Skinner Springfield, OH.
JR, I hope this Monday night you can pay tribute to Sherri Martel...but at the same time you have to continue with the presumed death of VKM. Do you find this a bit awkward and rude to the memory of Sherri? How do you plan on approaching the legit and the work? Can you do them both with the same tone?
Hey J.R., I am sad to hear about Sensational Sherri passing. I was wondering do you have a Sensational Sherri moment that stands above the rest.
Benoit going to ECW could be a good thing to make some talent "Step Up." Do you think sending some guys like Shelton, Hass, Carlito, and Duece and Domino to ECW might give them a chance to wake up and smell the coffee. They are getting paid a lot of money. Is it asking for too much to expect a little more passion for the business to go on top of the natural talent they all possess. Looking at the stars of yesteryear and the talent of today is a rude awakening. Just imagine what a superstar like Ted Debiase could have done with the natural athleticism of a Shelton Benjamin.
Fat Matt's is still in business and still has the best ribs and BBQ sandwiches in the ATL. It would be great if we could pick up some of your Jerky to go in the Resteurant, JR. Here is a link to the website: http://www.fatmattsribshack.com/ The ODD One
what should happen now vince is dead Now that Vince is dead Steph and Shane struggle to control the show without Vince. So the are reduced to bring back Paul Haymen and Eric Bischoff Bischoff takes Smackdown and Hayman reclaims his ecw. While the McMahon’s stay on raw. This soon deteriorates when Bischoff and Haymen do what they always wanted put wwe out of business. Bischoff goes all out for ratings bringing back war games and other old favorites. He makes some legal maneuvers and gets ownership of smackdown and Renames it WCW Nitro. While ecw returns to its fully hardcore Format. The McMahon’s are up in arms that Bischoff and Haymen are not respecting what Vince wanted and his direction for his empire. So the war is on. The McMahon’s invade in an attempt to take their company back. Meanwhile Both ecw and wcw invade wwe raw. Some old names from all three brands get brung back to help in the war. Around Oct Nov the undertaker resurfaces with the misistry of darkness its not clear who side he is one he recutes Kane and other big stars. It all get more confusing when DX gets recuted into the ministry. And takes over Raw. Just when u think WWE is finished. Undertaker says he can’t be stopped after taking down Stephanie and Shane. And starts invading ECW and takes it over. With bischoff being the last thing standing in the way of the ministry taking everything over. Vince Rises from the grave on Bischoff side saying his Kids Failed His empire failed and now he wants WWE to Die once and for all. In one final twist Steph and shane rise from their own ashes Claiming they were never defeated that they were their to take Bischoff down and this was their master Plan. But vince in not convinst and the final battle between Wcw and WWE Begins. This Time for Keeps Vince wins the First Battle by taking back ECW and Giving it back to Haymen. But taker is not going down easy. This all spills over to wrestlemania 24 wear the final battle of WCW and WWE is Faught.
Hey, JR. I was just wondering: I know this website did a poll a while back asking if fans would buy a Best of Saturday Night's Main Event DVD set. I certainly would because I was five when it debuted, it was my big treat as a boy and I've been longing for one as long as I wanted a Roddy Piper DVD set. Did the boys in the media department ever contemplate instead of a Best of set doing a SNME Anthology set like the ones with WrestleMania and Royal Rumble? And also, will Andre the Giant ever be one of the many WWE legends to receive an Ultimate Collection set?
I'm glad that the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is now on Smackdown. Perhaps someday (Summerslam) he can challenge Edge or whom ever is the World Heavyweight Champion and win the gold. This would be Flairs Trifecta (Hold the same belt that was the World Heavyweight tile for 3 different organizations, in each organization (NWA, WCW and finally WWE). He earned it.
Rest in peace Sherri Martel.Don't give God a hard time.Since Paul Heyman left ECW.What has he been up to?
I am very glad that WWE will be doing a WCCW dvd. I just hope they give it the justice it deserves. I grew up watching the Von Erichs and remember when Playboy Gary Hart got his head shaved via a loss to Fritz. I remember going to several matches at the North Side Coliseum and at the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth on Monday nights. To me, WCCW was wrestling. Please keep us up-to-date as to the release date for this dvd. This would be one WWE produced dvd that I buy.
I have an interesting idea for WWE 24/7. Because of work, I am unable to watch ECW or Smackdown. My idea is to put the months episodes on WWE 24/7 after they air. What do you think about this idea J.R.?
hey good ol JR how does the King feel about MMA? Just wondering from a wrestlers stand point on the subject. Obviously boxers are worried
Hi Guys and Gals, Was just wondering if anyone has an update on the explosion of Vince's limo on Raw.
I was honored to be in Chicago for WM 22 and to also be at the Hall of Fame. It was the highlight of my life as a wrestling fan of over 33 years. I am saddened to her of Sherri's passing but I will always remember not only her career, but seeing her at the HoF. JR, I live in Tulsa and we hardly ever get any events here! I see the WWE going to our (not so distant) neighbors such as Dallas, Wichita & Little Rock (For examples), but you all never come here to Tulsa! I have enjoyed seeing RAW at the Ford Center in OKC several times but nothing recently. When will you all be back in this area? Do you think that when the new arena that is being built now in Tulsa may attract the WWE to come more often? My family and I miss seeing the exciting live shows! Thoughts and comments please and we look forward to seeing you soon!
First of all I want to say how deeply saddened to hear about the death of Sherri Martel. I've been a wrestling fan for 24 years, she was the toughest woman I ever saw in a ring. How ironic that Sherri's daath comes the same week as the McMahon "death" angle. At first I thought the angle was a bit funny, I do think the WWE goes a bit too far. I believe in Karma, I hope the WWE does a video tribute for Sherri. RIP Sherri.
Very sad to hear about Sherri, her work with Rick Martel and Shawn in their rivaly and PPV match was one of many fantastic memories I have of her. She will be missed. Our prayers are with her loved ones.
Hi JR, I am still in shock. I still can't believe Sherri died... i thought she had at least another 30 years in her but obviously i was wrong. my sincerest condolences to her family and those in WWE who were friends of hers. I have to say that i found the entire episode of Smackdown this week to be utterly vulgar. I mean Mr McMahon did not actually die on Monday so what was the point of making a whole spectacle out of his "death" and the 10 bells thing that's a disgrace. it's not even 2 years since Eddie Guererro passed... Vicki should be ashamed of herself! but this whole storyline for want of a better word is really disrespectful to the point of actually being embarassing. anyway, enough said about the storyline... I remember so vividly the day Miss Elizabeth died. and now 4 years 1 month and 14 days later to lose Sensational Sherri... well that really speaks for itself. I'd like to close by saying that i just know that Sherri is up in Heaven with Miss Elizabeth, Owen Hart and everyone else and she's probably drinking them all under the table! R.I.P. Sherri I'll always remember her and Miss Elizabeth for Summerslam 90... when Liz cut off some of Sherri's hair with Brutus Beefcake's scissors amongst other things... by the way,i'd love to see Miss Elizabeth go into the hall of fame possibly inducted by Bret Hart who by the way looked as always phenomenally gorgeous on Monday! I always liked Bret and Shawn equally (get well soon Shawn!)
I hope there is a DVD for Sensational Sherri in the works - it's the least y'all can do now that the 10 bell salute has been used as part of a storyline. I'd definetly buy a t-shirt or DVD, when Sherri was a manager I wanted to be her... The Divas this day and age have nothing on her.
Just a question. durring the Cross-brand PPV's would it be a good idea to offer Alternete commentary from the other anounce team?
Hey J.R. I live in the UK, and WWE programmes air on Sky Sports. I’ve heard rumours that the WWE plans to go HD late this year. Now i’m not saying i’m poor, but money is a little tight, i’m 16, and can’t we can’t afford an HDTV. Will the WWE still air their programmes on normal TV, because i don’t want to miss it? Also, whenever I mention the WWE to any of my friends (some don’t watch, or used to watch wrestling), they say that they don’t watch it because it’s no longer on Channel 4 in the UK. At least three-quarters of all my friends gave me that answer, so it obviously was an important aspect of your broadcasting. Do you think the WWE will ever show any other programmes on channel 4? And most importantly, will it be available to non-HDTV owners? Thanks, Rick M. Sheffield, England. P.S. RIP Sensational Sherri.
Hey J.R. i must say that like many others i am absolutely devastated to hear about the loss of Sensational Sherri, although she's probably one of the toughest ever women to be in the buisness she seemed like such a kind loving person at heart. R.I.P Sherri Martel. I also have a question for you this time and i was just wondering do you think Randy Orton has gotten over some of his demons since the last European tour. It might just be me but he seems to be more of a professional in the ring, i don't know about behind the scenes but he seems to really be establishing as the top heel on Raw.
Having the opportunity to meet Sherri at an Indy promotion was a lifelong dream... She was very kind and personable. She had some great stoies to tell and those of us Indy workers who repect the history of the business just sat and learned...and listened to a great Woman wreslter... Sherri was a Woman in a mans world (at that time) and to hear of how she managed to shine was wonderful.. Sherri...we will miss you... RIP "Sensational" Sherri...you were NEVER "Scary Sherri" to me...
