Greetings from Soonerland from a BBQ lovin’ OU fan who enjoyed watching the Sooner scrimmage on Wednesday night.
Even in the oppressive heat, the Oklahoma football team had a spirited scrimmage on Wednesday that saw both the offense and the defense have their “moments”.
From my perspective, all three QB’s —
Sam Bradford, Joey Halzle and
Keith Nichol, who are vying for the starting job — seemed to all receive equal work or very close to it. The three signal callers each did some good things, made some plays and threw the ball well. But, strictly from a casual observer’s opinion, it seemed that Sam Bradford looked to be the most comfortable of the trio of signal callers. I stress the term “casual observer”. Bradford just seems to have the most “presence” of the three QB’s at this time and at 6’5”, Sam can see the field well, seems to make more good decisions than bad ones and can definitely throw the ball.
