J.R.'s Family Bar-B-Q

Bar-B-Qed Feedback….J.R. Style!!

...and the feedback just keeps on Smokin’ just like the ribs and brisket at J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q! Mason- I don’t have the info on autograph signings at live events domestically or abroad, but if you check out www.wwe.com or with the arena they can probably provide you better info. Even though Cena will not be wrestling in Australia in November I am sure you will still enjoy the live event. James- I have had the opportunity to call so many matches that I really enjoyed, so I can’t name one that stands out as “the best” but the ‘89 Flair-Funk “I Quit” bout was memorable because of the two wrestlers and that I worked with Gordon Solie. The Wrestlemania 22 match between HBK-Mr. McMahon was special inasmuch as I had been essentially turned out to pasture and never thought I would call another ‘Mania and did not know if WM 22 would be my last one, so there was a little extra fuel in my tank on that one. You selected some good ones, nonetheless. Christopher- The Undertaker is a HOFer now it’s just that he hasn’t been officially inducted. Your guess is as good as mine as to when ‘Taker gets the official nod, but I hope it isn’t for a while, as I still enjoy watching him wrestle. James- Will MVP be the next Rock? Too early in MVP’s game to be comparing him to the Rock. Those are rather large shoes to fill for MVP. MVP just needs to continue to work hard and be the best MVP he can be and not be concerned about being anyone but himself. Pam- I guess those trusty internet rumors of HBK weren’t too accurate after all. Imagine that. Seriously, it is great to have HBK back on Raw. Ryan- It was nice to hear that you had such a positive experience meeting the new WWE Champion Randy Orton. I think Orton’s reputation as a bad boy is overblown, but no one is immune to having a bad day. I do not condone the actions of any wrestler who is rude to fans but I can tell you from experience that some fans step over the line at times, especially when they don’t immediately get what they want. The vast majority of fans are super, but there is always a handful that can ruin it for the rest. I have been around Randy since day one and he has always been respectful of me even in trying times. Pete- I am a major proponent of the WWE having a Wrestlemania in Dallas at Jerry Jones’ new, Cowboy Stadium as I feel that the WWE would sell 100,000 tickets to the event. Matt- TV networks or cable systems running out dated TV ads for wrestling events has been going on for years. Many times matches are booked and commercials are produced and shipped to the TV outlets and then for a litany of reasons, the match or matches change but the TV outlets do not pull the spots from their air. New TV spots are provided to these stations all the time, but that doesn’t mean that those at the local level replace the inaccurate spots with the new ones. Richie- I don’t know Drew Galloway. Sorry. Robbie- Mrs. J.R. does indeed attend OU games at home and she went with me to Dallas for the OU-Texas game. She’s a Steeler fan at heart, but loves the Sooners too. We celebrated 14 years of marriage on October 12 much to my delight. Bob- I think the winner of the Boston-Cleveland series may well win the World Series. However, no team in baseball has been as hot as the Rockies. I guess that’s why they play the games. Alan- I don’t know how much the challengers have to do directly with the injuries the champion’s have incurred recently, but I expect not a great deal or any more than normal. Injuries happen in contact sports and no matter the entertainment content that wrestling presents, the performers are true athletes who do get injured in the course of their jobs. Wrestling isn’t ballet, in all due respect to you ballet fans out there. Ed- Being on the sideline for OU-Texas was fun and exciting. Being on the Sooner sideline is always a rush as one gets caught up with the sounds of the game, the crowd noise, and he natural animal magnetism of being close to the game. Perhaps it is akin to being on row one at a wrestling event. Amanda- Even though I am an old school, traditionalist, I have never spent too much time thinking about what design a championship belt should take. Whether or not the WWE Title Belt changes is something I know zilch about nor does it concern me. Ron- IF and that is a big IF, the Sooners are in the Big 12 Title game in San Antonio, I will definitely be there and plan on attending with Stone Cold if our plans stay as they currently are. Anthony- Charcoal heat makes for better grilling and smoking flavor but propane is more convenient. I would go with charcoal if all things were equal and I had to choose one over the other. Brian- I purposely do not hire any one to work at our place. That’s not an issue I want to be involved with as I trust our managers to do the job they were hired to do and they do a super job of hiring staff. To get a job at J.R.’s, all applicants must apply in person at the restaurant. Ronnie- Nikita Koloff was always a nice guy and I never remember any negative issues with him whatsoever. Nikita was intense in the ring and worked hard, but outside the ring he was approachable and polite, indicative of a good upbringing. Class act all the way. Steve- I look forward to Monday Night Raw in Omaha as I will be attending the OU-Iowa State game the Saturday prior in Ames. Mr. McMahon took himself out of the broadcast booth to expand the Mr. McMahon persona but working with him and Lawler in the three man booth was the best three man team I can recall working with in wrestling. I am not an anti Husker fan whatsoever, but simply support my team, the Sooners. I am sure that some in Omaha will boo “Boomer Sooner” which is certainly their choice. No worries here. Ilya- I was on the OU sideline with Adrian Peterson down in Dallas for the Texas game and he is still a wonderful young man who wants to win some games for his team, the Vikings. Without question, if AD can avoid being injured he will evolve into one of the very best running backs in the NFL, if not the best over time. Bret Favre is one of my all time favorite athletes who I got to know his rookie year in 1992 when I was broadcasting Atlanta Falcon football. Bret is one of a kind and I am ecstatic the Pack are playing so well during the twilight of #4’s career. Johnny- It seems as if Mark Mangino’s Jayhawks are for real and with a little good fortune could win the Big 12 North. People here in Norman are happy for the former OU assistant coach. I officiated some high school basketball games that KU Coach Bill Self played in many, many years ago as an FYI. Erik- I have not heard a word about any pending debut for Eddie Colon, Carlito’s brother, but I do know he is a talented young man. All I can say is stay tuned, but I assume it is not imminent if it will occur at all. Tom- I met Steve Largent once when he was running for office here in Oklahoma and found him to be a really down to earth, nice guy. Largent is living proof that one can remain a decent human being and still be a high profile athlete as many do. The maligned world of politics could use more people with Largent’s character. Bob- LSU controls their own destiny, as it relates to making to the January 7 BCS Championship game and they are talented enough to make it happen it seems. If they do make it by hook or crook, they play essentially a home game in New Orleans for the National Title, which gives the Bengal Tigers a huge advantage. Jeremy- Last I heard was that Tony Schiavone was doing sports talk radio in the Atlanta area and had no interest in getting back in wrestling, whatsoever. Michael- Ric Flair is simply a special human being who has been blessed to be able to stay somewhat healthy throughout his illustrious career. Your comparison of Ric to Bret Favre, Roger Clemens, etc is on the money. Grant- Sorry we did not get the chance to visit outside the Cotton Bowl. Texas played hard and yes the Charles fumble was a killer. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Horns run the table the rest of the season. Thanks for the hello in Big D. Mike- Kennedy seems to have a bright future a head of him without question. It already seems as if Kennedy has his share of fans, which is not a bad thing. Kennedy as a fan favorite seems inevitable, but I don’t see it at the moment. Phil- I did give some wrong info at No Mercy regarding how many times the WWE Title had been vacated. My bad as I went with the research material that was provided me, instead of doing all my own homework. Sorry if this info inconvenienced you. jwallstram-The OU Football play by play job on radio has always been a dream of mine since I was 10 years old. The chance of me getting that opportunity is extremely slim, but I seem to do the play by play in my head at every game. Coach Bob Stoops is a great friend and extends the courtesy of providing me a sideline pass for the Sooner Football games of which I am really thankful. Good Lord Willing I will be on the sideline for many more Sooner games including the road contests! Josh- We are working on getting our products in grocery stores, but that is a huge mountain to climb, as it relates to shelf space and distribution. But we are trying. As far as the franchising of J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q, that is also in our plans but is a long term goal and not one that can be accomplished in a short time. That will most likely occur in 2-3 years while we are building more stores in the OKC metro area. Adam- Michelle McCool is one of the best, pure athletic divas to join the WWE in years. Plus she isn’t hard on the old eyes either. I think Michelle has a big upside much like Trish did. Dark Maiden- If that is your real name, I am not concerned about what you “think” about my opinion of women’s wrestling today. Do you think I am going to go on WWE air and outwardly knock the Divas? How stupid would I be to do that?? I am not a huge fan of food fights, etc but I still do not feel that women should wrestle men. We printed your comment out of fairness and I have replied out of fairness to you but we don’t have to agree. Right? Jackie Moore, Ivory, and Molly Holly were all excellent wrestlers and the younger Divas are striving to get to that level one has to assume. Chyna wrestling men still makes me cringe. I appreciate everyone’s feedback and the chance to interact with many of you. We don’t all have to agree, but the difference of opinion is what keeps things interesting. We are preparing several new specials in our store for your consideration and remember that we ship WORLDWIDE! Order now for the holidays and thanks a bunch for your business. Be well everybody! BOOMER SOONER! J.R.

Hey JR, I agree with your opinions on women wrestling men. It's just not right to me. But here's a question for you. and i know alot of people have been asking this but, what are your opinions on Y2J coming back. I've heard he's considering it. It would really be nice to see him. Plus do you think we'll see Trish Stratus again anytime soon? It may have only been a year since her retirement but I've never seen any diva get the crowd so fired up like her or lita before. Just like you i expect to see her inducted into the hall of fame one day. But i would like to see her on RAW again first. Thanks.
Would you think TNA would be capable of competing with the WWE the same way WCW did back in 1995 when Biscoff took over. I've heard TNA wants to move to Mondays. Do you think there could be another Monday Night War?
A quick question about Stone Cold. Do you think there could be a program he could work where he could give a rub to a younger guy and have whoever that is go over? In hindsight he was right about Lesnar, but I was wondering if a program with Austin for guys like MVP, Matt Hardy, or Mr. Kennedy, just as examples, where they ended up with the upper hand would be good for business, especially what seems like a transitioning phase for WWE of the old guard for the new guard? Agree? Disagree? Thanks. Boomer sooner, T.A.
CAN YOU TELL ME WHY THERE ISN'T A HELL IN A CELL DVD OUT YET? YOU WOULD THINK VINCE WOULD HAVE MADE ONE BY NOW AS THERE ARE ENOUGH FOR AT LEAST 2 DISCS AND IT WOULD SELL LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE! I
Thanks for the reply! We are extremely excited to see you Monday in Omaha for RAW. I have been a fan for 24 years and still feel that if Gordon Solie is the #1 announcer you are definitely 1A. I love WWE 24/7, do you know what some future roundtable topics will be?
Hi JR. What are your thoughts on the WWE confiscating signs at live events? (or telling arena officials what signs are deemed unacceptable, as happened this past week in England) What ever happened to free speech? Don't fans who purchase tickets have a right to express their feelings towards the WWE or a particular wrestler, barring there are no swear words or racist remarks on them?
Hey JR - Whats doin'? Any thoughts on Tom Osbourne back at Nebraska? - I know there is a long standing rivalry between the O and N. Also, Any thoughts as to whether or not the Yanks treated Joe Torre fairly on his way out? I wonder when will we see the WWE use real life storylines regarding the characters. They really could have something with Orton with how he treats women, violating the wellness program etc.. I think most fans get turned off because they have a perception of this man and it seems WWE always tries to hide that. Maybe they should go the other way and take his persona'd perception to the extreme. Would be interesting. He could generate some LEGIT heat there.
Hello JR how is the family, I got a question to ask you. Do you consider TNA as a contender to the WWE? In my opinion I really want to see a company feud between WWE and TNA your best vs their best even if it is for one night. In your opinion is that a good idea for ratings or not?
Hey, JR. Do you think that with Santino Marella condemning "The Condemned" that we could see Stone Cold Steve Austin on Raw and give that rookie a good old fashioned One Finger Salute, Stone Cold Stunner, Beer Bath and a possible "liberation" for Maria from Marella? I'd really love to see that happen and hear your reaction if it does happen.....
Greetings from Atlanta J.R.! Just a little while ago I was watching a WWE.com exclusive match (aka a dark match) featuring Harry Smith, son of Davey Boy, vs Carlito from this week's RAW taping. Commentary was done by Jonathan Coachman and Michael Cole, so I guess you and King sat that one out. Assuming you were watching the match, what are you thoughts on Harry Smith? Also, there is reportedly a reality show featuring Bret Hart's ex-wife Julie and their kids. Do you have any plans to watch this show should it make it to air? Also, given the success of Hulk Hogan's reality show, is there a possibility we might see a reality show sometime soon featuring a current WWE star?
JR, I remember a story my aunt told me when I was younger. Basically, she was on a flight, and ended up next to Ted DiBaise. She had no idea who he was, but I remember her telling me how rude and arrogant he was. Of course, now most people know he was in character 24/7, and is probably a great human being. Could Randy Orton be doing the same thing? If so, I think it is great, as it will enforce his character in the minds of people. Or maybe he is just a jerk like people have been saying lol
JR, since Mrs JR is such a huge Steelers fan, is there any chance we'll see you and the Mrs in Pittsburgh anytie soon?
JR, I was wondering why commentators or even wrestlers make mistakes when cutting promos such as Edge last year saying that he has never lost a TLC match when he did indeed lose one in June of 2001 or last year on Smackdown when they said that neither Kurt Angle or Taker have tapped out when indeed they have tapped out. Your thoughts. BTW Keep up the good work on RAW!
Hello Jr Can't wait til Mondays Raw. Here's hoping Shawn beats Orton. But is it true Shawn and Vince had a altercation at Raw this week? Love my HBK and HHH.
hey JR, my name is will, i write alot, and i was wandering how do you become a writer for wwe. I have many ideas.
Hey JR how's it going? I have been a fan of wwf/wwe for 18 years but I haven't watched much since wrestlemania, not because i haven't got the time but because i don't like the product but because i haven't got the the time to watch raw and smackdown all of the time and i have needed a break. Do you think wwe should have an off season so the fans can recharge their batteries along with the wwe staff. I know it wont happen but what are your thoughts on the idea? Also i know your a big fan of american football, but do are you a fan of Rugby?
Hey JR, I hope ECW on SciFi Network continues to be broadcast live on Tuesday nights. I have heard speculation that says the TV deal will not b renewed. That would be a shame, because some of the best matches in recent memory have taken place on the new WWE E-C-Dub. If I were able to make any suggestions, then I would propose that the show be formatted like it was in summer of 2006, with strong promos, edgy material, and fresh faces, along with a sprinkling of Extreme Rules matches. That’s my two cents. -Sean
Hey JR Greetings from Portugal I have watched WWE for over 10 years and in my opinion you are the best announcer in wrestling. I would like to know if you are going to get the opportunity to watch the Stng vs Kurt Angle match from Bound for Glory and if you would like to announce it if the match had happened in the WWE. Speaking of Sting, what is your favourite Sting moment and match in your WCW days. Thanks
Hey JR! I was just kind of curious, have you seen any of "Sweet n Sour" Larry Sweeney's work down in ROH? He is an AMAZING talker and I was just wondering if he was on the WWE's radar at all! The blogs are awesome, keep it up! Thanks, Jorden
Hey J.R., lets get right to it. After Cena went down with the pec tear my first reaction was "oh great, down goes my favorite wrestler, and wrestlemania is going to take a step back. BUT, if these matches go down, i will definitely have found a new rejuvenation. Here is my dream card thus far for WRESTLEMANIA 24. MAIN EVENTS: WWE CHAMPIONSHIP- HHH vs. EDGE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP- RANDY ORTON vs. BATISTA SHAWN MICHAELS vs. MR. KENNEDY UNDERTAKER vs. LASHLEY
JR, i wasnt sure if you were the person who may know something about this, but I was curious about the fact that if so many WWE dvd's are available online, how much is that hurting the business? or is it even noticed. on the other hand do you think all the shows being online has hurt ratings as people feel that even if they miss the show itself they will be able to catch it online shortly? thanks josh
J.R. I do not understand how we can beat two top 25 ranked teams in consecutive weeks and have computers tell us we are the 11th rank team in the country. In the words of the hurricane . What is up with that!!!
JR, Please tell me when Ric Flair is going to be back in action. I truly miss him and WWE isn't the same without him. Rumors are swirling big time out there about Naitch, please tell me Ric hasn't retired. WOOOOOO!! Thanks, SSgt Chuck Walker (USAF)
With the growing success of you bbq buisness and your obvious enthusiasm for the food industry, can we expect to see you take a break from wrestling soon to concentrate on your restaurant full time? Alternatively do you consider TNA an option due to there apparant lighter schedule which would also free up more restaurant time for you?
Hey JR, Just want to say i love reading your blog and have a couple of questions for you... In your opinion what was the better match? HBK/Cena from Mania 23 or the HBK/Cena Raw rematch from London a few weeks later? I was at the latter and thought it was a fantastic match. Secondley, with this "talent merger" that is happening between ECW & Smackdown, do you think we'll see a title unification match for the ECW/World Heavyweight Titles coming up anytime soon? Cheers mate, Mark.
Hey JR. This question has been puzzling me for several years now, well ever since Wrestlemania 20. Why is there still three seperate brands? I understood the logci behind it initially with all the wrestlers available and competition between the two brands may have been good, but now? They are releasing all sorts of wrestlers because they are unable to get a shot, wrestlers are injured. What is the point of constantly seeing the same wrestlers challenging for the world heavyweight title on smackdown? With a combined roster, there are endless possibilities. Imagine Triple H v The Undertaker again, Shawn Michaels v Rey Mysterio, Finlay v Umaga would be great as would Umaga v Batista. This would allow so much better viewing for us all. What about it? Isn't WWE there for the fans to enjoy?
Hey JR, I really miss seeing Mick Foley on TV as he is genuinely funny and entertaining. He doesn't even need scripts, plus he is one hell of a wrestler. Although I hope to see you and King call matches on RAW for many, many years to come, do you think Mick Foley could ever become a full-time colour commentator. He was great at ECW One Night Stand 2005. Any thoughts on Foley as an announcer???
J.R. I couldn't agree more about women wrestling men, even if only for the reason that it doesn't look good or believable. If anyone doubts it for a SECOND please do this: cue up a tape or DVD to a...let's say...Chyna v.s. Bob Holly match. WATCH HER THROW A CLOTHESLINE. It just DOES NOT look REAL!!! Please everyone...a bit of levity. Let this issue die. Thanks and best wishes to you, Mr. Ross. Jeremy
So JR Did you have a few british pints on monday so great to see you guys in blighty , Any news on 24\7 coming to sky sports be great if it could . JR britain wants your restarants start the revoultion , i can see it now JR's in every english city ... Mcdonalds who . Take care
Good Ol' JR: I've been a wrestling fan for about 17-18 years now, and i've lived through some big moments in wrestling. What i really enjoy doing now when i'm not watching RAW or Smackdown!, is reading superstars books about their lives and how wrestling has impacted their own lifestyle. I've read Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair's, Eddy Guerrero's and Hulk Hogan's, and i would like to get your recommendation on any other superstars that have written books about their career (old school and/or modern). I'm trying to keep it together for Bret Hart's book, which i hope will soon be out. I just hope he doesn't focus on Shawn Michaels too much, like Shawn Michaels kind of did with Bret. So to sum up, could you suggest some of your favourite wrestling autobiographies in the form of books? Thanks! - Maddox, Nova Scotia Canada
Hey JR, just wondering if you have ever seen the amusing Ultimate Warrior Techno Music Video? (found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr9TspUvigM). Rather amusing just wondering what you though of it as well.
Hey JR, First off, it's a pleasure- i've been a fan of yours for many years. My question is: if ECW isn't picked up by Sci Fi as i suspect, do you think it's fair to say that WWE management made a mistake in pulling Paul Heyman from the promotion he made famous? i believe the "new" ECW needed him to guide its course rather than people within the WWE who really didn't care for the product to begin with. PS- How long till Stone Cold comes back to RAW??
Sorry to double post, but I would like to inform Mr. Andrew Carr who posted before me. In my opinion, 3rd party "wrestling journalists" will always be garbage my friend. Sure, you might get a sniff of what is to come in a couple of weeks... but these "journalists" are biased... and I still get surprised at how many people do not realise it. Take Ryan Clark of Wrestlezone for example. Clark is a TNA mark... never saying a bad thing about the company or it's superstars. Take Booker T's departure. Clark in one article posted "This is from wwe.com : WWE has came to terms with the release of King Booker and Sharmelle" . One hour later Clark has a full personal written paragraph about how Booker T will soon be joining TNA as he stated he isn't done with wrestling. Has Clark forgotten about PWA? Apparently so... because as he reports.. Booker must be going to TNA... And hasn't got his own promotion to worry about. How about when Clark says Raw pulling below a 2.4 rating is awful for the company.. yet TNA is on the rise because of a magnificent 1.2? Give me a break. These 3rd party "journalists" will also repeat the same story about 5 times a week. Why? Because the slightest smell of dirt will have internet fans going into a frenzy. That faint whiff can be repeated all week long to increase visitors.. and therefore increase advertisement revenue... and ultimatly... make money from unconfirmed bullsh*t which half of the time ruins wrestling for both the people who work in the industry and people who want to take it for what it is.
Hey Jim! Do you think the fall of WCW was the fault of AOL Time Warner or Vince Russo ? Or neither ? WCW had a terrible run at the very end... needless to say. But at the same time, they did have some great talent like Sugar Helms, Vampiro, Kidman... not to mention Flair, Sting and Nash. Can the finger be pointed at any one thing?
hey jr, I was wondering, would you like to see the good ol' masked kane return to the ring? and please don't give me one of those answers which really doesn't answer the question. Speaking of kane, it seems he's lost his "touch" ever since losing the mask, I mean think about it, with the mask, he won the wwe title, intercontinental and tag team championships, without it, he won the tag team championships once. Am I the only one seeing a pattern??
JR, It's sad that Ric Flair, who in my opinion is the greatest performer to ever live, is not wrestling at the moment. Do you personally believe that Flair will a chance to retire under good conditions? In his last TV appearence he got squashed by Khali, I don't think that this is the way this unique wrestler should walk away. Greetings from Germany (Yeah, they visit your websites as well!)
Hey JR, I think you are amazing at what you do! I think one of the main things missing in the WWE are true tag teams and stables.I miss the days of the "Hart Foundation" and later on "DX" and the "Rock and Roll Express". I know that there is the Highlanders and Cade and Murdoch, and that there are others as well, however, I miss the days of 6 or 8 teams and 4 way tag team matches. Do you know if the WWE plans to bring up any stables. I think it would help there ratings if they do! Also, I miss the Ross Report on wwe.com. I would like to see WWE bring back something that shines the light backstage a little. It would have to be better than the mis-information we get from the wrestling websites. Once again keep up the work! My kids and I tune every Monday night to watch you and the King.
any early picks for the 2008 HOF?
do you think yu would ever see kurt angle in a WWE ring again, or in the HOF?
Hey J.R., love the site. What are the chances of Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?
Jim, what is John Nord up to these days? What was your favorite incarnation of "the Nordster"??? was it his mainstream run as The Viking, later Berzerker, in WWF or was it multiple WCW Monday Nitro appearances in hour one of a 3 hourr broadcast, where he was known simply as John Nord but wore his 'Berzerker-style' furry boots and a t-shirt that read "IF YOU DON'T LIKE ME (see back)...THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU"? Well, i like Nord, so there is nothing wrong with me! How about you JR?
It seems that the WWE product is beginning to slump a bit in my opinion. There is so much tallent in the WWE but not many are being used right, especially with ECW. How do fans voice their views to the WWE so at least has something to base their ideas on. At this point the sports entertainmemt industry has a huge opportunity to build the best product but what we get is marketing gimics and movie commercials instead of wrestling. I know that there are quite a bit of GOOD wrestlers in the development program as well. What will happen to them when they get calle up? Will they get a minor roll because they don't have "the look"? Also, I am a huge CM Punk fan and it seems that I am not the only one. I'm glad that he is ECW champ but I don't like the fact that his competiton is limited to a lot of guys who's ability is just "ok". I don't know....I'm just a concerned fan that is excited about the talent but not the product. Keep up the good work on RAW. Thanks fop checking out my rant.
JR- Have you heard Lilian Garcia's album yet? What do you think of it? I love it. -Marie
JR I read that the Fetsus character and look was based off one of your Okie friends...is this true?
Hello JR First i love your comentary and i dont think that you should be a Brad Pitt to be able to do a profesional comentary wrestling :)) this is stupid:))......... I am a fan of Eddie Guererro and i would enjoy a story on or off the road with you and Eddie......... lets play a imagination game.....i am frome romania and we have a very popular dude who is known in all the world.....Dracula:)) ...i am curious what style you think he would adopt in the ring and what match would be his speciality :))))....escuse my wrighting and Romania loves JR and WWE God bless you....godbye
Hi JR, i didnt get a chance to hear your commentary on Monday Night as i was at the Raw event and it was my first wwe event ever and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Just wondering how you thought the show went and did you stay around to watch the excellent HHH vs Umaga dark match at the end? Also, what happened to Lawlers entrance before raw?
Hey, J.R.! I've been wondering what you think about this, so here it is: Do you think that the United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship are underrated? And, would you mind sharing a pick or two of your's for "Cyber Sunday"? Tommy F. Delbarton, WV P.S.- In a way, Chyna's wrestling men, I sympathize, kind of makes me cringe too, but, at the same time, I think that the fact that a WWE Diva was in the ring with the guys and even won the Intercontinental Championship three times, two times more than the legendary Ric Flair (although, she has nothing on the sixteen world titles! Woo!) somewhat dissolved some of the sexism seen in sports entertaiment.
Is the WWE in negotiation to purchase any international wrestling video libraries? WWA from Austrailia or CMLL/EMLL from Mexico?? What about FMW from Japan? Returning to domestic companies, What about the Herb Abrams UWF (wont ask about the Bill Watts UWF), the USWA? all the old Memphis stuff, Portland PNW has been around for years??? then there's WWC from Puerto Rico?? Everyone would love to see all of this on WWE 24/7.
Hi JR - A big fan from Brazil. I have heard rumours that the New Hart Foundation will be making their debut soon. Do you think the WWE should encourage their talent to create their own characters instead of placing gimmicks on them or following their relatives footsteps? I remember an episode on Roundtable with Bischoff and that was exactly the point that you brought on yet the WWE doesnt really take it on board. I think Harry and the other individuals involved should really find their own characters instead of following their families footsteps because with all due respect, I don`t ever think they will make quite the impact as the original Hart Foundation made. Maybe by giving them a chance to find their own footing they will have better success. They really should let Mr Kennedy have more mic time as I think he could be a big star and can cut a great promo. This was the case for Austin, HHH, the Rock when the original roles given to them didnt quite work out. This could be said of Charlie Haas who is also an incredible athlete, MVP, Kenny Dykstra. They should really push people who can work the mic instead of Lashley who wasnt quite ready, and Batista even, who doesnt really cut very good promos. My opinion only.
Hello JR, hope you enjoyed your time in the UK. I managed to get some tickets for Smackdown and it was a great show. The fans were really into the show. I thought your commentary during the Last Man Standing match at No Mercy was the call of the year. You were so into the match, emotionally. I must have watched it 10 times by now. I remember you saying that you feel your best calls are still ahead of you, and honestly I was doubtful, but after that No Mercy match, "By God Almighty" you proved you're the best announcer in Wrestling history. Hope to see you next time in April '08
