J.R.'s Family Bar-B-Q

It’s a Bar-B-Qed Feedback Buffet! J.R.’s Cookbook offer still Available!!

I was asked what place “3rd Party Wrestling Journalists” have in the biz and my answer is that they have a right to earn a living the same as any one else. They are not doing anything illegal or immoral and I am sure at times on certain subjects, keep the fans updated in more detail on the general state of the business than individual, company owned sites do. My issue, if one wants to call it an issue, is that many sites report things as fact, when in actuality, they are reporting rumors. I have been the “victim” of rumors reported as fact on numerous occasions, especially when I was head of the WWE Talent Relations Department. Nonetheless, just as virtually any other site one can name covering any genre, there will be times when things one reads proves to be false, but that’s not a revelation. Anthony- Sounds like you have a “thing” for Trish…nothing wrong with that mind you. Michelle McCool reminds me of Trish in that Michelle is highly intelligent, like Trish, is naturally athletic, like Trish, and has a strong, competitive desire to improve her in-ring skills, just as Trish did when she was in the WWE. That’s why Michelle McCool reminds me of Trish Stratus, whether it “irks you” or not. Chris- Will Jeff Hardy ever win the “big one?” Can’t say for sure, but never in The Rainbow Haired Warrior’s career has his chances of winning “the big one” been better. His star is shining brighter than ever. Darren- I agree that Harry Smith looked good in his non televised match Monday night in Birmingham. I have no idea when he will debut on TV, but Harry is definitely a “keeper.” One would have to assume that Harry’s father, The British Bulldog Davyboy Smith, certainly has the credentials to be honored in the WWE HOF some day. Randy- Thanks for ordering the autographed shirt and the bags of Beef Jerky and I am pleased that you are happy with your purchase. That’s always the bottom line with us….happy customers. I do have a Sooner ringtone on my cell phone. No surprise there, huh? Clinton- Santino Marella has been a pleasant surprise in my book as he has become an entertaining character on Raw and is one of those “easy to dislike” wrestlers with good verbal timing. Jesselee- I have heard little of the Tony Atlas-C.M. Punk matter and will likely not do any research on it either. This is typical of many “wrestling headlines” that some folks think is really newsworthy. Regarding Teddy Hart, how many more chances should the WWE provide him?? Brainman 214- I have no idea if Atlanta radio station AM750 WSB will ever do another wrestling talk show as I did back in the day. Most likely not but I honestly have not heard. I own all my old WSB Radio shows, “Wrestling with Jim Ross” and we are planning on making them available for purchase here on the site in the upcoming weeks. Some of those shows were classics and I think all true fans will really enjoy listening to them. Stay tuned. T-Money- Jermaine Taylor may have been a disappointment as champ to you but there is significant money in a Pavlik-Taylor return match so it will definitely happen. Pavlik doesn’t seem like the type of fighter who will duck anyone and is going to be fun to follow. Pavlik’s trainer is a high school friend of my friend and OU Coach Bob Stoops as they are all from Youngstown, Ohio. Gerrard- The Randy Couture issue with UFC seem to be a real mess. I can identify with both sides of this matter….a company who thinks what they have done for the talent has been fair and a talent who thinks that the company he gave so much to has under paid and under appreciated him. I am not certain of the personal relationship that Couture had with UFC management but from the outside looking in, it seems like it was not as strong as one would have thought. Plus, outside forces such as agents and attorneys can adversely affect matters such as this too. Until Couture signs an exclusive deal with another MMA company there is always a chance the two parties will reconcile unless stubbornness infiltrates the situation. Chris- It is always nice to be compared to John Madden, who is still at the top of his game. Regarding TV ratings, I maintain my same mantra that one can’t get too high for the great ratings or too low when the bad ones come along. Raw’s rating a week ago was not up to standards and that made “big news” including tons of editorial comments from various sites. This week the rating was back up and no one barely mentioned it. The only time ratings will ever concern me is for there to be a prolonged slump or established trend of unacceptable ratings and that too is subjective. The occasional spike in the numbers up or down is not a hill I choose to die on. David- What do I think of Maria’s in-ring abilities? She’s improving, as she is a hard worker who gives great effort. Christopher- No, Cyber Sunday isn’t rigged. You can vote often and your vote will count. If you want Jeff Hardy to win, as you suggest, then get to voting! Mike- Yes, indeed…I will give you the old Hook ‘Em Horns sign as soon as your Rock vs. HBK match concludes Mike which will be 24 hours after Hell freezes over. Mick- I will be in Orlando on October 30-31 doing some promotional work for the WWE/ Wrestlemania 24. My worst personal moment in the biz hasn’t been any thing related to me such as my two bouts of Bell’s palsy, my Mom dying while I was in the UK for a PPV, or even getting my walking papers on more than one occasion. The Owen Hart tragedy most likely would have to be the worst experience I have endured, as Owen fell to his death only a few feet in front of our announce desk and he was a dear friend. Ryan- What ever happened to…. the One Man Gang (last I heard he was a prison guard down in Louisiana), Kamala ( he still wrestles occasionally and I heard he even recorded a CD and he used to have a small trucking company) and Koko Ware ( King told me Koko was a house painter in the Memphis area.) Uthornsfan- I don’t have a feel if we will ever see Stone Cold and The Rock in a film together but for some reason I doubt it. They had great on camera chemistry at one time, so it is not impossible, but perhaps improbable. They could do an action/adventure film and both have excellent comedic skills too. I would like to see the two of them pair up but most likely that is a long shot at best. Brian- Teddy Hart was released by the WWE officially and this has been reported in a variety of places. Teddy has bona fide in ring skills but apparently has issues positively interfacing within a team concept. Call it maturity issues or a lack thereof or whatever you choose but it is unfortunate that Teddy was not able to capitalize on his latest opportunity with the WWE. It seems now as if that ship has sailed. Bryan- Randy Orton’s WWE Title reign should be a productive one as Orton is developing the classic traits it takes to accentuate his in ring persona with tried and true methods that have worked for generations. The wrestling biz is not about reinventing the wheel but about perfecting the fundamental skills that have perpetuated the business for decades. Mike- I have no new info on Ric Flair or when he will be back in a WWE ring. My hope and gut feeling is that we have not seen the last of “The Naitch” wrestling for the WWE. I hope I am right on this one. A Large WWE Fan- You are “desperate” for an answer to your question you have asked me “numerous” times?? Who are the top WWE Champions of all time? This is such a subjective question and one that I might answer differently next week. Looking at primarily box office successes and being essentially out of the business as far as being an active wrestler is concerned, my top five in no particular order would be: Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, and The Rock. Happy now, Large Fan? Then go buy some Beef Jerky and get REALLY happy! James- I am a HUGE WWE 24/7 fan and I totally agree with you that 24/7 is persevering wrestling history. Ryan- When you order an autographed cookbook be sure and specify that you would like for J.R. to personalize it by replying to your order confirmation email and we will do our best to make it happen. If that falls thru the cracks on our end we will go to plan B. See you in Virginia and I am thrilled you love our Bar-B-Q Sauce! It makes me feel good that my own battle with Bell’s palsy helped you in some small way. Bruce- You never know where my travels may take me but flying up to the Twin Cities would be fine by me but preferably not in the middle of winter! Unless of course I could work in a Viking game and watch my man Adrian Peterson do his thing. Jeremy- You have asked “over and over” and never got a reply on your question about where is Tony Schiavone. How dare I?! I have only answered this one about 3 times…Tony is alive and well and working in radio in the Atlanta area…I think Gainesville, Ga. Sting hasn’t worked with the WWE because neither side could agree on a contract and, no, I doubt that we will ever see Sting work a full time WWE schedule which essentially means Sting most likely will never wrestle for the WWE. Now watch him sign a deal when he is legally able to do so…. Scoti- THQ’s RAW VS. Smackdown ‘08 is to be released eminently as in any day now as I understand it. Someone will help us out here but it is one helluva video game I assure you. I can’t say as I have ever heard of the wrestling school WWA4 in Atlanta. Mandy- Do I think the talented Jerry Lynn will ever be inducted into the WWE HOF? Mandy, Mandy, Mandy. My guess would be no. Ralf- I always have a smoked meat sandwich while in Montreal usually from Schwartz’s if I am not mistaken. They are really good! Farooq’s Friend- Which CD do I prefer to listen to on the road, Lilian Garcia’s or Macho Man’s? Neither, as I don’t take a CD player on the road with me or a laptop or an iPod. I am a “reader” on planes and a “nap taking fool.” Terry- Thanks for the kind words about our issues regarding Bell’s palsy. I was scared to death when I came back to work and broadcast the main event at Wrestlemania back in the day. Austin and Rock lobbied hard for me to do their match and even though I had to hold one side of my face up we seemed to have got the job done OK. My issue is that I never quit trying to get better as I always wanted to stay in the game because I truly love the business. I have been told many times that people with Bell’s palsy should not be on TV and that I am “lucky” to still be sitting at ringside doing play by play. Hell, I have always considered myself lucky to be sitting at ringside doing what I do on Monday nights. So even though those remarks are hurtful I have not and will not ever let them beat me down or make me quit until my journey has been completed. None of us can win at the game of life if we stop playing it. George/Scotland- I have not seen enough of Drew McIntyre to assess his talent, but my first impression of him was generally a positive one. Sophie- The amount of injuries is underscored, due to the lack of main event depth so when a top hand gets hurt in today’s marketplace it stands out more. But yes, there are too many injuries, as one is too many. I would concur, Sophie, that Trish is a future HOFer but never…ever… call me surely again. Ed- “Why didn’t Rey Mysterio seek out Umaga upon Rey’s return from injury?” Different brands, I assume. Plus, Rey is a smart guy. Ron- I take photos with our Bar-B-Q Restaurant guests all the time and I will be happy to sign an OU football helmet as well. I am usually in and out of our place Wednesday-Saturday or any time I am not on the road. Lee- “Will any new wrestler ever surpass the Rock as an all around in ring talent?” Most likely, but it won’t be easy, nor soon it would seem. That’s like the NHL seeking another Gretsky….it’s a great goal but “Great Ones” don’t grow on trees. Tom- Thanks for the lead on where to buy a DVD copy of “The Wrestler”. Lara- I would have personally enjoyed seeing Lita exit the WWE in a different manner, but she will always have my respect and I have nothing but great memories of her. I can still remember the day she first met with me in my Stamford office as she was dressed very professionally in a business suit. Oli- I think it will be very challenging for the fans to NOT chant for DX if HBK and HHH paths cross on camera on Monday Night Raw. WWE fans enjoy cheering for DX, so I say at some point, “Give it to them!” Mike- We feel we make the best Beef Jerky available and I am pleased that you like it too. Thanks for ordering it from us, as our Jerky biz is booming here on the site. One never knows from week to week who is going to be upset next in the world of college football, but I will firmly say that more major upsets are still to come. Hopefully not for OU, as we had our upset when we lost to Colorado 24-23. Kyle- I don’t know how the WWE going public with their stock, business infrastructure, etc could affect the working atmosphere. It really didn’t for me and that’s all I can accurately speak on. KSjoe- Kansas football coach Mark Mangino loves food and is a helluva football coach, as evidenced by KU’s season thus far. The journey isn’t over but if KU’s early season schedule doesn’t allow them to be bitten in the backside in the next few weeks, it could be OU-KU in the Big 12 Title Game in San Antonio in early December. Mangino is a brilliant Xs and Os coach. The Jayhawks are having a memorable year to say the least. Brady from Oklahoma- If you are so hellbent on Jeff Hardy wrestling Randy Orton at Cyber Sunday, then get to voting! Jeff is deserving of the opportunity but so is Kennedy and for damn sure so is HBK. Having a trio of worthy contenders is not a bad problem to have, but your vote counts. I don’t know that Jeff won’t be voted in and neither does any one else until the votes are tabulated. David- Where’s The Fink? He is alive and well working out of the WWE offices where he is still the very first employee ever hired by the company and the only individual to perform at EVERY Wrestlemania. Howard Finkel is a WWE HOFer in my book! James-Yes, I think that both Dory and Terry Funk should be in the WWE HOF. Who could intelligently disagree with that one?? Jacob- I assume the Money in the Bank briefcase will be hung from the lighting grid at the Citrus Bowl for Wrestlemania 24. Boomer- Have I ever published a cookbook?! Yessir…TWO of them and one of them, “J.R.’s Cookbook” is being sold on this very website and autographed by yours truly AND you get FREE shipping within the Continental USA. Sean Chandler- I think Stone Cold would be perfect for a well written and produced western movie. He has that Clint Eastwood-like glint in his eye at times, as if he is just dying to shoot someone. As they say in Hollyweird, if the script is good and the “deal” is right, there is no doubt in my mind that Steve Austin would do a western film. Logan- I have HUGE respect for the Nebraska football program and all I can say is that Husker fans deserve better than Billy Callahan. See you in Omaha for Monday Night Raw! Dan- In all due respect, comparing Teddy Hart with HBK is, well, highly inaccurate to remain polite. I value your input here, but on this one I have to strongly disagree. Being around both on a one on one basis I can assure you I know of what I speak on this matter. Immaturity and perpetual volatility doesn’t always translate into cash. Plus HBK was a proven commodity when he had issues at work whereas Teddy is still unproven at the big show. Ted has talent without question as a high flyer but he seems to be his own worst enemy unfortunately. Stinky Sullivan- You gotta love J.R.’s “Aunt B’s Apple Dumpling ala mode!” Yes indeed, I would love to do some voice over work for King of the Hill, which has long been one of my favorite shows. There is no doubt that Macho Man’s voice is extremely distinctive. Oswald- In “The Man on the Moon” I assume I played Lance Russell, which is really weird because Lance Russell was obviously there and played the ring announcer. I never asked Director Milos Foreman why I was doing play by play, but I can tell you that many of my lines were ad-libbed because the wrestling scenes ran longer than the writers envisioned. I would have been happy to have been the ring announcer, but that is not what the movie folks wanted. I think the black hat is going to stay with me for as long as I continue to appear on TV, as it is sort of a trademark it would seem. Matt Johnson- Thanks so much for your well thought out comment Matt dissing HHH. I don’t recall ever “calling out” any wrestler for being involved behind the scenes, so why would you bring up such a lame subject unless you are desperate to stir the manure. For the record I have never had a single issue with HHH and am happy to be the one who signed him to his WWE contract way back in the day. I judge HHH just as I would any other wrestler and that is by how he treats me and his work ethic. Period. Jacob- As best I know, Mr. McMahon is a Washington Redskins fan and not a Patriots fan. M- We were instructed to say we were broadcasting from the “U.K.” and not Birmingham, specifically Monday night. I am not sure why. Maurice- I think Lashley is set to return in December, the last I heard. That’s sort of up to Mother Nature, as it relates to Lashley’s shoulder healing. Thanks for stopping by and please visit our store and check out all the special offers we are putting together just for you. Your business is appreciated! BOOMER SOONER! J.R.

Hi JR- Where did Kane learn how to throw hard punches? Also what happened to Spiros Arion? Who was the Wolfman? Both manage by late Fred Blassie in the 1970's.

I would like to know if JR is aware of a wrestler named Chad Collyer, from Liberty, Indiana. Chad has been affiliated in the past with WWE Developmental, TNA, OVW and many independent and smaller promotions around the Midwest. He is very popular in Japan and has done several tours thre and one in Europe that was very successful. He also has been in the Brian Pillmand invitational and the Ring of Honor series. Chad is an excellent technical wrestler, has worked in a mask, has been a success as a "face" and a "heel". I have been a wrestling fan since the late 50's and have known many people in the business, talent and management, and I have been very impressed with Chad. I truly believe if given the chance, he could be quite a mid level success in the WWE with a little push and a little coaching in the performance side of the business on a bigger scale. Help this guy out JR, he would be a great addition. He doesn't do drugs of any kind, is college educated and is willing to travel. He appeared on Smackdown a few weeks ago, to help the Gordy kid and "Festus" get started in the big time scene and did a commendable job of putting them over. What do you think?

HELLO THERE JR WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE WWE ARE THEY GOING TO BRING MORE ACTION IN THE RING. BY GETTING MORE STARS TO COME AND WRESTLE. NO DISRESPECT I CAN SEE WHY THE BIG SHOW AND BOOKER T LEFT WWE IS NOT GOOD ANYMORE. YOU HAVE TRIPLE H TAKING OVER EVERYTHING MY HOPE IS HE HURTS HIS LEG AGAIN AND IS OUT FOR A OTHER YEAR OR TWO

JR What is going on with the Nature Boy ? A perfect ending would be for Flair to go out with the reformation of the HORSEMEN angle. PS The wife and I want to talk franchise for the DC Area when the time is right . PS your right about Houston Nutt at U of A . Good luck to your Sooners .. Jim

Hey Jim back in 1996 you were a heel and you brought out razor ramon was that the fake razor or the real one?

Mr. Ross - Just a quick thank you to you, the King, and all of the WWE team that sacrifice their personal life to keep bringing us the (honestly? usually) entertaining product each week. Saying prayers to keep all of you safe. Thom

Hey J.R, just wondering do you ever get nervous about a fan reaching over and taking your black hat whilst you're sat at ringside doing commentary? cos that would be a hugely valuable item to have! i mean i know its never happened, but is the thought ever in the back of your head?

J.R. -- I'm hoping to someday make it to Oklahoma to try your barbecue. I bought your cookbook a few years ago, and the recipes were excellent. I consider myself a barbecue conisseur, having tried it in practically every Mecca, so I'm waiting to try yours. On that note, I was in Atlanta this summer and visited Abdullah the Butcher's House of Ribs & Chinese Food (interesting combination) and was quite pleased. And Abby was a great host, I might add. Have you ever visited his eatery? If not, I recommend it next time you're in the Peachtree City. I'll never be able to tell him face-to-face if I find yours better. Seeing what he's done to his opponents, I'll have to plead the Fifth.

Pr0, that is not an excerpt from Batista's book!! Someone sent it to a wrestling "insider" website as a hoax!!! You have clearly been "sucked in" and should do some proper research before posting such nonsense!!! JR keep up the good work on Raw and lets hope Jeff Hardy gets the opportunity to win the "big one" soon!! Peace out.

Jim, are you familiar with the Hulk Hogan/Tom Lister movie vehicle of 1989, No Holds Barred? I was wondering if the movie ever had any chance of coming to DVD. Also, Jim Johnston produced a really cool soundtrack featuring a lot of original 80s rock material with some good lyrics and melodies. I was wondering the chances of some of these songs maybe appearing as a bonus CD to the DVD's eventual release. Maybe Jim Johnston can start putting some of his original material from this movie and other WWE tunes on iTunes for sale? There is a lot of worthless obscure material for download on iTunes, and I think if Johnston/WWE uploaded a large library of material for sale that WWE would see a profit. Thanks Jim.

Hey JR, not sure if you have been asked this before, but will we ever see both Hardys on the same roster again as a permanent tag team? I love both of the Hardy Boys, and miss the old Team Extreme days. I also feel you are right about London and Kendrick being similar to the Hardys, and hope their star continues to rise.

Come on you can tell me. Is Chris Jericho coming back or not?

Hi Jim, I was watching Raw last night and saw the debut of Harry Smith and made note of an error on your behalf. You were saying he was a second-generation wrestler. Let's not forget who his grandfather was! All the best, David

The 2008 WWE Hall of Fame will be held at Amway Arena? Ever bought any great Amway products? :)

Jr i live in NJ and have been searching for your famous bbq sauces.. but i can't find them, will they be hitting supermarkets soon.   Sal - You can order our products by mail order and get them quick! I don't think any stores in NJ will have them anytime soon as we don't have that kind of distribution yet. For those of you waiting and looking for them locally... don't be frustrated - just order them here on the site! Thanks for looking for them.

Hi Jr. Thanks for answering my previous question. I appreciate it. Is there an address that fans can use to mail you gifts/cards?

Have you read the new book by Bret Hart? I just purchased the book 2 days ago and I must say that I'm glued to it! It's a must read regardless if your a Hitman fan or not. I must say, Bret was my all time favorite wrestler!!! In my opinion, the only one who ever compared to him was The Rock. You should read this book right away JR, as I would think someone such as yourself would really enjoy and appreciate Brets' many stories from the road.

I have just finished The Dynamite Kid's autobiography and actually found it the most enjoyable wrestling one I have read. What are your thoughts on him being inducted into the HOF given that his most famous matches happened in Japan as opposed to the WWF and his 'strained' relationship with Davey Boy Smith? Personally I think his matches with the original Tiger Mask are some of the best I have ever seen and he should be a worthy entrant on that alone.

What do you think of this quote from Booker T: "My time on Smackdown, it was a great run. It was beautiful, just pushing for whoever was the champion over there. We really didn't care who was the champion. There were no politics, no hassles. Then going back over to Raw, it was like a dark cloud coming over. I just knew it wasn't the place where I wanted to be. There are a whole lot of politics. You have to deal with a lot of garbage. I just knew, for my mental state, it wasn't going to be a good place."

DO you Know about the story lines before they happen or do u watch the show and react with what you see

Hey JR! One question: Is Shane McMahon coming back to Raw on a regular basis anytime soon? I personally think Shane's character is a very entertaining one and he is great as both face and heel. Besides, I think I'm not the only one who wants to see more of the Vince McMahon vs Shane McMahon rivalry.

Hey JR, What is your opinion of Houston Nutt, is he the Devil incarnate as most HOGS' fans think. Just wanted an outsider's (OU) opionion. John in Ozark, AR

Hi Jim, I have a question about something that has been a minor annoyance for years. Why is Ron Simmons' WCW World Championship reign ignored? When his matches are called he is always mentioned as being a former Tag Team Champ and member of the APA, but his World Title accomplishment is very rarley mentioned. I feel this is especially sad considering the Simmons was the first African American to hold a major world title (to my knowledge). If it were a WCW thing I might understand, but WWE has never had a problem mentioning Flair's number of title reigns, and Booker used to mention his number of Championships regularly. Does someone at WWE have a grudge against Ron? Why would they want to sweep what is surely one his proudest accomplishments under the rug?

Hi Jr! Do you ever think a time will come, when a British wrestler will be in the WWE without having to use the SAME OLD stereotype LAME A** gimmicks.

Hi Jim Ross! I am a huge fan of WWE, Sopranos, the Sooners, and 38 Special as well. I love your food products. I was hoping for some information/opinions on the potentially profitable partnership that could grow if Macho Man Randy Savage had a small role in some WWE Films. I could see this being mutually beneficial to the fans, Randy, and the WWE's finances. Imagine Savage playing a druglord, with officer HHH chasing him down with a vengeance. Or even Savage as Kane's puppeteer in a See No Evil sequel. Or, hell, even a role loosely based on Savage's Walker Texas Ranger character, Whitelaw Lundgren...portraying an older cage fighter battling in underground brawls for straight cash. I could see this being great.

Jim Ross - gotta love the spicy ketchup. What type of reaction do you feel the Macho Man would get if 'Pomp and Circumstance' hit the loudspeakers and he walked down the ramp at Wrestlemania 24 to address the crowd? I think ultimate pandemonium would ensue.

J.R., Just yesterday I watched an old videotape of Clash of Champions 15 . You did the play by play on that show. I taped it live from TBS and it featured "the Georgia Brawl" battle royal to start the show , featuring stars like Beautiful Bobby and El Gigante , who won. Other stars that performed were , Stunning Steve Austin , Sting, Lex Luger, Rick Rude . I didn't watch the show in its entirety, but I do believe that was the show where Paul E. Dangerously smashed the VCR-sized 1980's style cell phone on Jason Hervey's head. What a Blast from the past. I wish WWE would release the Clash of Champions broadcasts on DVD in their entirety. I would just kill to have footage of "The Rapmaster" P.N. News in my library , LOL .

JR - Is it true that at various times during his career, The Rock approached Vince McMahon about setting up a match against Sting and even inquired about bringing in Savage for a match? Also, when was the last time you spoke to Randy Savage? I am very excited about his upcoming role on the surreal life.

Is there any hope that Randy Savage will be signed to a WWE legends deal...or does the apparent heat with Vince McMahon prevent this? "Dig it!?"

Whats the deal with Randy Savage? Every time we have comments on here the name Randy Savage always comes up. I agree that he is a legend and was one of the best wrestlers of his time but this guy has had his day. i'm sure he'll be in the HOF one day but guys... let it go

what do you think of brock lesnar signing with the ufc? he will be definately a major player in the game. His wrestling speaks for itself all he needs is a little striking and some jiu-jitsu!as far as the randy coture situation goes he is the best damn mma fighter of all time! Whatever randy wants we should respect his wishes he has nothing left to prove

hey jr. a friend of mine suffered brefly from bells pallsy and it was a nightmare for him. Couldnt drive or sleep. Im form the uk and was at smackdown at birmingham last week and had an awesome time! i am a big wrestling fan and have said this before, but would love to have you down in the pub i help run in boscastle cornwall called the napolean for some of our ribs when you are next in the uk!!! For wrestling related question, What would be your pick of greatest fueds that never happened? I have a few in mind..... austin Hogan, hart angle, austin rock cena, taker andre, Austin samoa joe, Jr don west, jericho kennedy, jeff hardy aj styles, christiopher daniels cm punk. What do you think?

Hey JR, I became a wrestling fan back in 1997 so I don't know all that much about the wrestling territory days. As such, I was wondering, what would you say the difference is between the old wrestling territories and the indy organizations of today? You often say that lack of quality depth is the result of the death of territories, but why can't the indies fill that void?

hello jr have you ever met emile dupree he was my favorite growing up in atlantic canada and my second favorite was leaping lanny poffo macho man's brother whatever happened to both dupree and lanny poffo?thanks for the answer jr and keep up the good work on raw

hey jr, what are your thoughts on brock lesnar's new contract with the UFC?

Hi JR, I think the Undertaker is the best wrestler ever. I know a lot of popular wrestlers, i.e. batista, mankind, the Rock, have put out autobiographies. I was wondering, do you think the Undertaker will write an autobiography? I know it would be a best seller. P.S. Go Buckeyes!!!!!#1

do you think wcw ppv events will ever be released on dvd? i'd love to see some of those classic matches not available right now!! keep it saucy!!

Hey JR, I have been a fan for a long time and love your blog. what annoys me however is that people seem to ask the same questions over and over again such as: 1) Will Randy Savage make the HOF and if so when? 2) Will Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold ever wrestle? 3) When is The Rock coming back to the WWE? 4) Is it true that Ric Flair is having his retirement match at Wrestlemania 24? 5) I heard a rumour that HBK and The Rock will be having a match at Wrestlemania 24 is it true? 6) Is it true that you are going to Smackdown? 7) Will a Raw Broadcast ever take place in Australia? 8) When is the WWE going to do a PPV in the UK? 9) When is the WWE coming back to my home town? I mean seriously with the depth of wrestling knowledge that you have it constantly surprises me that people repeatedly ask you the same questions over and over again. It is a shame because you give such great insight into the industry and people shouldn't waste your time, especially when you are writing the blog for love and not money. What are your thoughts on the frquently repetitve questions you get. Keep up the good work on RAW and with the WWE. You are a true legend of the industry.

Hi JR, WWE should Cancel: 1 NIGHT STAND PPV -WWE Fan

Dear Mr. Ross: To what address should I send Ron Simmons a picture? I work with an Iraqi officer, MAJ Farooq, over here in Baghdad, and as a gift I gave him a Farooq Action figure, which he now proudly displays on his desk, gripping the new Iraqi flag. I told him Ron was a symbol of breaking down barriers, as he has been doing in some of the groundbreaking training over here. Anyways, just wanted to send the Seminole former champ a copy of the pic. Thanks, Woody Pengelly

I just read on a website that The Boogeyman is returning to ECW this November. I feel The Boogeyman has made tremendous improvement as a in-ring performer. I still hope in WWE that there will be a feud between him and The Undertaker. I am dying and waiting to see that feud.

What's up J.R.? Since you did not respond to my last post, I will keep posting this issue, until I hear your feedback. The topic is WRESTLEMANIA 24. I am a huge Cena supporter and was very, very saddened over his injury. My brother and I go to WRESTLEMANIA every year, and I seriously thought about not going, since Cena is almost a lock to miss 'The Grandaddy of Them All.' I since have reconciled, as my brother sold me on WRESTLEMANIA not being about your favorite wrestler, but rather the whole spectacle that WRESTLEMANIA is. So, now that I am going for sure now, here are my dream matches for WRESTLEMANIA 24. WWE CHAMPIONSHIOP - EDGE vs HHH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - RANDY ORTON vs BATISTA NON TITLE MATCHES: MR. KENNEDY vs SHAWN MICHAELS BOBBY LASHLEY vs UNDERTAKER

Hey JR, Who do you like in the World Series? Red Sox or Rockies?

Hey J.R,hope you are doing good? I have 2 questions for yah - 1st - What is beef jerky? 2nd - Is Rey Mysterios DVD just a catalog of his matches with him speaking a little about the matches? ^^

Dear JR, The following is a quote from Dave Bautista's "book", if you can call it that. "Now, don't get me wrong, my ex-wife is the love of my life and I would never knowingly hurt her. However, while I was busting my butt on the road like a dog, she would sit around the house and do nothing. I mean, yeah, she had cancer, but she couldn't vacuum? And since the chemo made her "not in the mood", I had no choice but to have threesomes on the road. I mean, she's talented and I hated to see her waste her life like that when she could be a dancer, or maybe a nurse. But she's not a bad person and I take full responsibility for my actions, even though it was her fault." Now I realize you have nothing to do with talent relations but is this the sort of person we want carrying a major WWE championship? Even if I grant him the respect he deserves for the work hes done, and commend him for his rather stupid level of honesty here, I'm sorry, theres nothing in the rest of this "book" that justifies or qualifies that statement. And to be honest theres nothing in Dave's work that justifies or qualifies it either. I don't know about you but even if I was working Dave's schedule, if MY wife had cancer I'd damn well fly myself home after every show and push the vacuum cleaner around myself. As I'm sure you would. Regardless perhaps us Oklahomans were just brought up differently. Regardless as I said, I know you're no longer in Talent Relations, but, if you were, I'd consider this me asking you to release Dave Bautista from his contract as I don't feel he deserves his spot any more. In my opinion...you need to at least be a HUMAN BEING to qualify to be the WWE champion, and that quote there pretty much qualifies Dave Bautista as anything but human.

Hey J.R., i was wondering, i in a Radio and Television arts program at school, i want to major in radio, i really enjoy it, its a lot of fun being creative with it. Is there any place for a Radio major in the professional wrestling business?

will the rock ever get a best of dvd

hey JR, I know your a big MMA fan, so i just wanted to know your thoughts on Brock Lesnar signing for the UFC? Do you think he has what it takes to be a sucess there? Also one other question, what did you make of the Max Moon gimmick back in 1993? Cheers!

Hello, Jim. A fan of the jerky I am. Do you foresee WWE 24/7 producing any monthly specials on Randy Savage or Razor Ramon? I would love to see a 2 hr look into the history of the Madness, complete with WWF and WCW footage. A Scott Hall piece would be nice to watch as well. Do you feel The Rock vs. Randy Savage (with Savage in his current state) would have been a big Wrestlemania draw, perhaps in a falls-count-anywhere regulation? Thanks for your input.

JR Greetings from Portugal I have watched wrestling for over 10 years and in my opinion you are the best announcer in the sport. Have you read Bret Hart's new biography,"Hitman:My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling"? If so,what is your opinion of the book Thanks
