J.R.'s Superstar of the Week - Candice Michelle (from WWE.com)

Posted in:
Greetings from under the 200X, black, Resistol hat from your resident barbecue lovin’ Sooner who always enjoys traveling to our nation’s capital as will occur this weekend when WWE presents Cyber Sunday in Washington, D.C. My selection for Raw Superstar of the Week is the lovely, hard-working and lucky Candice Michelle. Candice is luckier than Rick Solomon (who allegedly married Pam Anderson recently in Las Vegas) that she didn’t sustain a devastating, life-changing injury Monday night. She fell while standing on the top turnbuckle and landed dangerously on her head and shoulder. The beautiful young woman originally from Milwaukee must have drank her milk and ate plenty of cheese as a young lass because she was strong enough to endure the fall without breaking her neck. The Good Lord works in mysterious ways. Hey, He gave Britney Spears children, didn’t He? Thank goodness Candice is only going to be out of action 6-8 weeks with a broken collarbone as this ordeal could have been a horrific tragedy. Read the rest of the story at WWE.com » Webmaster

Hey, JR do you think sid justice {vicious} will be returning to wwe. He has been mentioning it on the internet, {even on wikipedia} tha his return to the wwe would be the biggest and most unexpected comeback in wrestling hstory. Your thoughts, Good Ol' J.R.?
Hey J.R.! It was a shame Matt Hardy was not cleared to compete at Cyber Sunday against MVP, but MVP acted like a coward against Kane by taking a countout loss rather than face him man-to-man. As for Candice, I am hoping she recovers from her injury. Not only do I think she is a sweetheart, but I also think she is cute as a button. Rest up and recover from your injury, Candice. Your fans are behind you and I am proud to be one of them.
Mr Ross, I love your blog, been a fan of your thoughts since the Jim Ross Report on WWE.com. I too am really tired of the TNA fans putting in plugs for TNA on every comment board and wretling feedback outlet. I am wondering if these are plants by the company, because I am seeing more coments and posts than, judging by the ratings, people who watch TNA. You glad to find your Blog as I have been missing your insight into the wrestling business.
Hey JR, I just watched Cyber Sunday all the way from Australia, and was just wondering your thoughts on the diva contest. You sounded legitimately angry about the quality or perhaps the way the gimmick got out of hand? Either way i loved the show and always read your blog. Even in Australia you are considered the best announcer in the world. Keep up the good work. David.
i hope candice michelle gets well soon
hey can you tell me what ever happened to the original mr wrestling?
i did make it for the first 2 days of the wrestlefanfest.it seemed like total confusion and altot of the wrestlers didn't mind expressing there feelings butall of theme were very freindly to the fans that were there.2 of the nicest to me were harley race and the blue meany.hareley even walked around with me and my kkids a little bit.THYANKS HARLEY!. over all it was a mess but i managed to meet alot of great prefomers and my kids enjoyed it.so i guess it was worth the price.i hope everyone gets paid and the promoter has to spend 60 minutes in the hell in the cell with scott stiener. love the jerky jr
I have to say I have never been the biggest fan of 'Diva Search' girls, theyve never encompassed the true strength of the WWE Diva's to me. However Candice has steadily gone up in my estimations with her hard work and improvement (As has Michelle McCool incidentally who seems to be leaping up in great bounds). However since seeing that fall on Monday she has my utmost respect. As a horse rider/trainer/eventer of some 25 years I have seen countless falls like that from horseback and none of them have ended well. Including my own which also resulted in a broken collarbone. Sadly landing on our heads at high speed seems to be a vast similarity between Wrestling and Riding. I've sustained more injuries than I care to count including a broken back also. The fact that Candice took it like a real trooper just proved she really DOES belong out there in that ring. However I was slightly concerned they allowed her to sit up and drink water, a big no no in my experience after a fall like that. Nevertheless, she is in my thoughts and I look forward to seeing her back in action as soon as she is fit and well. A very deserving star of the week, great choice! (As a point of interest, does Candice happen to ride horses? The way she took the fall and protected herself was very similar to how we are trained to protect on a fall like that. Just curious.)
WHEN I SAW CANDICE FALL I TOUGHT SHE REALLY GOT HURT WELL I HOPE CANDICE GETS BETTER AND J.R KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK.
J.R., thanks for recognizing Candice Michelle. She's indeed a trouper. Hey, you should open a restaurant where I'm living: the Orlando area. Lots of tourists and home of WM24. I certainly would patronize it. I hope to see you and Lilian Garcia at FYE on Oct. 30. So long from the Sunshine State!
Just wanted to say you picked a great one I was watching when she fell I thought she was hurt real bad thank god she is gonna be fine and JR keep up the great work you do Love Ya
Question about Hall of Fame. Wondering why Tony Garea isn't in? All the tag team championships. Also, why do you think Bob Backlund, Peter Mavia, Rocky Johnson, Rick Martel aren't in? Thanks.
I definitely know who Marlon Perkins is but I dint know he had a house here. Is it a landmark or something? I know he is not with us anymore but I will definitely have to look it up for you when the WWE rolls into Omaha for Judgement Day in May 08. (The greatest surprise I have ever witnessed at a live raw.)I havent been to a PPV since In Your House Good friends Better Enemies with the classic No holds Barred Shawn Michaels and Diesel match. What A treat that was and I hope that this PPV will be amazing. Take care JR and see you in May 08. GO HUSKERS! Fire Callahan!!!
