Well I am happy to hear that we will continue to see Good O'l JR on RAW. It's always a pleasure watching JR and the King on Monday nights. It wouldn't be the same if there was another group up there. Hope to see your face for the Royal Rumble and when you are back in Detroit.(hopefully soon) :) Long time fan Ken Campbell
Glad to see that you will be the voice of RAW JR
Thank God !!!!!!
Well...that certainly puts paid to THOSE rumours. Glad 'good ol JR' is sticking with us, hope this 15th anniversary is a good one and may you reach the 20th! Quick question while I'm here...do you wish there was more of a 'change' in the top order of the roster? Ie, chance to see Taker vs Triple H, Rey vs HBK, Batista vs Cena etc etc... All the best Shaun
well i for one would like to thank jr and wish him the best with his new contract, raw, or the wee isnt the same without him, keep up the good work!
Congratulations Jim. Any news on Jerry's contract as well? Do you ever get bored of partnering him?
Thank god Good ol' Jr is going to stay with wwe for at least a few more years. It will be a sad day when you decide to call it a day. Job well done you are the cornerstone of Monday Nights!
First its great to see that your going to be with the WWE for the next few years!! I was wondering how familiar you are with the UWF wrestling promotion? The reason I ask is while spending time at my in-laws house an bein up late that night after they retired for the night I was passing past espn classic an saw that they were broadcasting old UWF shows from the 80's! Being of the younger wrestling generation since I'm only 26 it was kind of nice to see how it use to be with different territories and on this particular show i lucky to see two legends have matches on this show one being "Cowboy" Bob Orton and "Mr. Onederful" Paul Orendorff. As well half of the broacasting team was another legend Bruno Sammartino. Just thought you like to know that even ESPN was in on the wrestling business even if it is late at night.
JR congrats on the new contract. Your service to the wrestling business is greatly appreciated by this fan. I look forward to seeing you on monday night for another 2 years.
Congrats JR, looking forward to the next two years and hopefully beyond :)
Congratulations JR!
about time
GREAT news from 1 JR to another. Raw is not complete without its true voice & the king.
Great news to hear. Nice to know that I will still have just another reason to watch Raw every week.
Yay!
jrrrrrrr im glad you are stayin with the company :) never think of going to tna please. please say hi on raw :D take care boomer sooner
Excellent! A reason to watch Raw for the next 2 years.
Hi JR Is Chris Harris of TNA really going to be in the WWE soon. I just heard Ron Killings recently and he is coming to the WWE. Is it true?
Great to hear you are going to be around for another two years. RAW just wouldn't be the same without you.
Congrats on inking a new deal, JR! All the best. Did you read Tommy Dreamer's "Shoot" piece on WWE.com where he talks about being off (ECW) TV as well as making one last run a la Rocky Balboa? What did you think of the article? Tommy gets a good face reaction and respect from the fans, so why isn't he on ECW more often? Or even Smackdown, with the talent exchange? Finally, what do you think about this idea: pair Sho Funaki with Tommy Dreamer and call them "The Dream Sho"? I think these two fan faves could have a feel-good storyline of one last run, as well as have a nice feud with Miz and Morrison if Funaki and Dreamer were booked "seriously" -- a la Yang and Moore currently. Thoughts?
Hey J.R.! Congrats on the contract renewal. 2 questions...#1 Is there any more info/progress on the proposed WWE Legends video game I read about a while back, and #2 If you have one, your best Little Rock wrestling related story. Thank you, sir. By the way, the "Q" is excellent!
Glad to hear that you're officially signed sealed and delivered for another few years J.R. Couldn't imagine watching Raw with the sound up without your voice. Any word on when John Cena or Bobby Lashley will be back and cleared to return? Also, could we see some special guests at the Royal Rumble making a cameo in the ring?
congrats on the new contract Jim.. i hope you're around ALOT longer then 2 years.. Raw would not be the same without Good Ol JR..
JR, Thank you for giving us 2 more years. I assume that you will be announcing RAW during that time. I can't see you agreeing to do anything else. I hope that the King is under contract for that time since you make a really good announce team. I am also glad that "Coach" has gone to Smackdown since he was the worst announcer on RAW. Only Kevin Kelly and Michael Cole have been worse in the history of RAW, I am looking forward to a great RAW on Monday night. WWE seems to be making a big deal of the HD switch.
good for u jr.Ive been a wrestling fan for 30 years and you and the king are the best announce team ever, with the late great gorilla monsoon and Jessie the Body a close 2nd.Raw wouldnt be raw without you announcing
This is great news..that means 2 more years of quality on Monday nights.
Hey JR . Congrats on your new 2 year extension .They should give you and the King lifetime contracts.
Congrats! That's great. Keep help making the WWE produce a quality product. A random fun question. Do you remember the last time a wrestler was disqualified for not breaking before the 5 count by the referee on anything? The only time I remember was Andre the Giant back the 1988 Survivor Series for choking Jake Roberts too long. Also there are some types of gimmick match-ups I miss seeing once in a while. Such as the Indian-Strap Match or Dog Collar Match. With JBL and Jericho's situation such a much might suit their feud.
The WWE knows talent when they have it. JR, you should be proud. In the days of 1 yr contracts, Vince shows he knows your talent, and he knows it will help his future. We met years ago, and I will always be a fan of your works. Maybe not of the business. But you are a pro. God bless and keep you and you's always. JJTj
awesome! that mean we'll be hearing more of the only GOOD annoncer in wwe
Congratulations JR, I will be looking forward to seeing you on Monday Night RAW for years to come.
Congratulations on the new contract Jim. You are part of Raw and a two year one ends speculation about your future. Here's to another good two years. Admin www.theunprettier.com/forum
Glad to hear you will continue to be a part of the RAW Broadcast, it just wouldn't be the same with out you. I have been a Professional Wrestling fan my whole life and you have been a big part of it.
Congrats JR. It is good to know that we will be able to hear your voice (okay, and Kingfish's voice too) for the next two years. It could not happen to a nicer man Ronn Daignault
Congrats on the Jim Ross! I am just want to ask if you heard anything on the update of Lance Cade yet?
That's so cool.I hope JR will be sticking around for more than 2 years :D.
Thats such good news!!! Thank you JR, your cvommentary is legendary im sure worldwide makes my wrestlemania as well as all the other shows that I catch here in the UK. Keep up the fantastic work Daniel :-)
Thank goodness!! Raw without JR would not be worth watching. It would take away from the whole wonderful experience that is WWE RAW. Hearing JR and the King somehow completes the whole thing.
Congrats, JR. Negotiating contracts is stressful business! I am sure it is a relief to get it behind you again. Keep up the good work! And good luck with HD... :-)
Hey JR, thats great news!, ive been a huge wwe fan for a long time now. I really enjoy the tours in the UK. I was wondering whether the WWE is going to be bringing a PPV over to the UK? Also has the location for wrestlemania 25 been decided and where is it. im thinking of going to wrestlemania 25 next year. thanks Reggie
J.R, Congratulations You deserve it you're the best announcer in the business Dan
Congratulations JR! The real winners here are the fans that have the opportunity to listen to you on RAW for the next 2 years. Sincerely, Chris Cumming, GA
This is awesome news J.R this has made my Day to hear that have u on Raw for two more years. you are the best for sure. What do you think of the new and improved Jeff Hardy i never thought he had what it takes to be in the world title hunt but my tune has changed the reactions he seems to be getting week in week out is down to the fact he puts everything into this one chance to make it you talk about making the most of the opportunities he defintly is even tho i dont see him winning the title at the rumble i hope he stays in the mix because he deserves to win the world title.
Hey JR, Glad you're gonna be around for the next couple of years. You and Jerry work so well together that no other announcing tag team can touch you guys. Good job. The reason I'm blogging here is to see if you could get a message to whoever decides on the house show tours. You see, on January 12th, in the early morning hours, a high school basketball team was returning to Bathurst, a small city in northern New Brunswick, Canada, after playing a game in a city called Moncton earlier that evening. They were only five minutes from home when the 15 passenger van they were driving in slid out of control on the highway and was T boned by a semi on the passenger side of the van. Seven players died - Nathan Cleland, Justin Cormier, Daniel Hains, Javier Acevedo and Codey Branch - were 17 years old. The other two students were Nick Quinn, 16, and Nicholas Kelly, 15. Also killed was the wife of the driver and team coach, 51 year old Beth Lord. The driver survived along with his daughter and two players. I do not live near this community as I live in southern NB, so I'll probably won't be able to attend any event that could be set up, but Bathurst definitely needs a boost. The wind has been knocked out of their sails and the loss of these 8 people has been felt all across Canada, and the world. Even the Pope sent a Holy See to be read at the funeral by the local Bishop. I can understand if there is nothing you can do to help bring your talent to their region, but it would definitely be a boost to them at a time like this. I believe their arena is called something like KC Irving Center, or something like that. It happened one week ago tonight, and it has been a very sad week. As I said before, I won't be able to be there, so this benefits me in no way. I just think the Bathurst community needs to find a reason to cheer in the near future. Sorry if this letter is an imposition JR, but I just thought I would drop it in. Thank you Thanks to you and Jerry for all the laughs thru the years. Hope your tag team goes much longer than 2 more years.
Congrats on the new contract. Great to still see you doing what you love after all these years. Keep up the good work.
THANK THE MANY AND VARIOUS GODS THE WORLD OVER!!!! I dread the day when good ol' JR hangs his broadcasting hat up. congratulations
Very good news. RAW would not be the same without J.R. - the only person who I could see replacing him is Vince as far as "the feel" from the announcing table - and we're not likely to see Vince at the announcing table ever again.
dear mr. ross, congrats on the new contract with world wrestling entertainment. i'll be glad to hear you for a few more years and hopefully more after that. i have a few random thoughts myself: i was wondering what you thought of tna's sharkboy doing an unflattering impression of stone cold steve austin. it seems to me that they focus too much on the wwe rather than offering up their own brand of professional wrestling. i am also puzzled as to why they push talent they gain from the wwe to the spotlight, i would imagine that would make the talent that built the company somewhat displeased to see their spotlight a little dimmer. i ask you these things because i know you are a wrestling fan but before you are a fan...you're a student of professional wrestling and it's business...that's only my opinion of course. finally, i was happy to see you watch real time with bill maher. he's the only commonsense man in journalism other than keith olberman on msnbc. thank you for your time. i hope this finds you well.
Congratulations JR on the new contract!
That's great news, JR. Keep up the phenomonal work!
