Feedback Needed...

Posted in:

I just wanted to let all of you know that if you have posted a comment and have yet to see it posted, don't panic, we have them, but are understaffed at the moment. J.R. will continue to post his blogs and we encourage you to continue to comment on them and we will post as we can. We are trying to get some new things in place to help manage everything and would like your feedback on how to implement.

In the future, we would like to manage comments in 2 ways:

The first is when J.R. posts a blog and you simply have a comment to make, we would like that to remain the way it is now and you simply comment on that particular post.

The second way is how we will handle questions. We would like a separate place on the site where you can ask J.R. a question and then your question will go into a different location. This way we can keep comments separate from questions and hopefully have a better format to access the information.

Once we get this set up, we would also like to have a user based system to help with our current spam issue. This way, you would create a user and if you wanted to post a comment, you would need to log in first. If we can get this going properly, the inappropriate comments (criticism is OK, but foul language and name calling is not necessary) will still go into moderation, but the users that have posted comments in the past that have followed the guidelines will post immediately. It would almost be a forum type setting and we may have that in the future, but until then, this would help with comment moderation.

We would like to know your thoughts on this and ask that you post any suggestions here. If you have another idea that might work, feel free to let us know. This is your site too and we would really like to know your thoughts.

Thanks for you time.
Webmaster

I think having a separate place on the site where a user can ask J.R. a question and then have that question go into a different location is a fantastic idea! I posted a question under a blog post instead of a question blog. Sorry for that. I think that a user base forum is an excellent addition to the site. Keep up the great work. Kind regards, Patrick Doucette.
Hello, JR, I just wanted to say I enjoy your blogs, comments reply/mailbag you do, and the Superstars of the week. Keep up in being fan interactive with us,it means a lot. OF course I love ya for always praising my Favorite superstar Shawn Michaels. Have a Good Weekend. Molly, Saint Helen's Oregon
I think thats pretty cool, it would be cool too if yee had maybe a function that looks at what the poster is entering, like do a string compare after they click to post it and compare it to the content of an FAQ, just so so many Randy Savage questions don't get posted!! :P but maybe thats just me being bitter
Here are some ideas for the main event Wrestlemania 24: John Cena vs. Triple H or John Cena vs Randy Orton vs Triple H for the WWE Championship. If Cena wins he gets to keep his spinner belt or if HHH, or Randy Orton wins either one has to wear the original WWE championship belt before John Cena came out with his spinner belt. Edge vs The Undertaker for the WWE world heavyweight championship. CM Punk vs Chavo Guerrero for the ECW championship. WWE Intercontinetal championship match Jeff Hardy vs a mystery opponent. WWE United States championship match M.V.P. vs a mystery opponent. WWE World Tag Team Titles - Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly vs. Carlito & Santino Marella. WWE Tag Team Titles - John Morrison & The Miz vs Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore. WWE Cruiserweight Title open Inviation match. WWE Women's Title match - Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James. WWE Money In The Bank match.
That sounds like a good idea to me. Actually, the way things have been run up till now has been great, but if it's been a strain on the staff, it sounds like a good solution. You might consider having a sorting feature for the questions, so people can check to see if anything like their own has been asked before. Perhaps a cetegory for the restarant questions, one for the Sooners, then break the wrestling category up in a couple of ways as well. For this to work, multiple question posts would of course have to be broken down, but the end result would probably be worthwhile.
I think it's a great idea. It'll keep the site more organized.
Hi Mr. Webmaster, That sounds like a great way to deal with the different types of input that people leave for J.R. Brad
