Bar-B-Qed Feedback From All Over the World..

John M. I think that experience and natural instincts are the skills required to navigate thru unchartered waters such as King and I had to do when Candice Michelle was abruptly injured on Raw.Clare- WWE 24/7 will definitely be a great asset to fans in the UK once a business arrangement can be worked out for a network or channel to carry the product. The WWE isn’t dragging its feet on this matter I assure you. Also, WWE 24/7 can’t be delivered via satellite but only on cable.

Bryan- I would think that Randy Couture is going to fight a handful more times and look at getting into film work. I don’t think Randy has any interest in the genre of pro wrestling. As far as updating WWE 24/7 more frequently, I think that is a man hour issue and the folks in Stamford are working as diligently as they can in that department. Be patient.

C.G.V.- Candice is doing well and misses her friends and fans on the road. She will be fine in a few weeks.

Jeremy- Cena’s pec tear was somewhat more serious then Edge’s injury to the same body part but make no mistake they were both serious pieces of business.

Ralf- Steve Austin’s DVD release was delayed due to the DVD release of “The Condemned” which is doing awesome biz in DVD sales and rentals. It is a helluva DVD.

Joshua- I don’t represent the WWE whatsover nor is this site a WWE product. I don’t know all their policies as it relates to the media and the interenet of which you are a part of nor do I care to know. It is not my hill to die on but I know what I know and that there has been many times when I have read something about me personally that was totally wrong. I made no damning report of the internet simply my own personal observations. As I said I feel every one has the right to earn a living and that includes internet sites. You are just preaching to the wrong choir but I regret your frustrations.

Nathan- Over the years there has been casual talk inside the WWE about the WWE having its own network ala the NFL Network, etc but I have heard nothing of such matters in a long while. Who knows, but it seems feasible in the future.

Eric- The Crusher’s last wrestling apearence in 1998 at the Over the Edge PPV was a fun experience for many of us who never were around The Crusher that much in our careers. He seemed to have enjoyed the day visiting with “the boys”. I can’t even remember what Crusher did that day on the show but I vividly recall him laughing and talking to the wrestlers in the locker room.

Scott- Santino Marella is a very entertaining character and seems to have a natural comedic wit. He has been a pleasant surprise.

Cate- I’m begging ya…stop with the Treat Williams questions. Not specifically you Cate but everyone. I don’t even know who in the hell this “action star” is and the only time I ever see his name is on our site. The Webmaster will cease using Treat Williams questions/comments until there is a valid reason to do so. Thank you very much.

Pedro- Thanks for checking out our site from Portugal, we ship all our products there you know, and no I have no read The Hirman’s autobiography as of yet but I most definately plan on doing so and those that I know that have read it have loved it! One thing about Bret is that his book will have no gray area and will be truthful.

Brad- Really good voice over talent has a place any where commercials or promos are needed in wrestling. So yes, radio guys can make it in pro wrestling as that genre does a ton of promos and commercials for a wide variety of products and events.

pr0- The Batista book is no doubt controversial and your recent email ripping it probably has helped sell a few more copies of it. Nonetheless I respect your opinions and views regarding the content of Batista’s book which I am sure many will find eye opening to say the least but one can’t dispute the fact that Batista told the truth when it would have been easy for him to simply not write or discuss certain aspects of his life. Mrs J.R. is reading Batista’s book as we speak but I also plan on reading it soon.

Woody- The best way to send your communication to Ron Simmons is the send it, Federal Express works best, to the WWE Corporate offices c/o Talent Relations Department and denote that it is from the military if possible.

Ande- One would assume that the WWE will continue to monetize the WCW library to its fullest as times goes on including multiple DVD releases in the future. As a matter of fact you can count on it but it’s not going to occur over night.

Izzy- The Undertaker is one of the most private men in the biz and him writing a book is a long shot and I never see it happening while he is still active.

Matt- I applaud Brock Lesnar for apparently negotiating a viable deal with the UFC and wish him well but it won’t be easy for Brock as he will be a marked man to say the least. The guy who firsts K.O.’s Lesnar or makes him tap will have some serious bragging rights and will immediately increase that individual’s marketability. Expectations for Lesnar will be high in MMA and it will be interesting to see how that matter is handled by Brock and the UFC.

Greg- I concur…Capitol Combat w/ Robocop sucked. I’m happy it just wasn’t my opinion. Any time a wrestler wins a cage match via disqualification it border lines on wrestling insanity.

Steve- Most likely the reason when King and I are on camera on Raw and it isn’t displayed on the TitanTron is the producers don’t want me scaring the kids in the audience. Crying children doesn’t make for good TV. Some broadcasts we have NO on cameras for the record. I have always had a great face for radio.

Kevin- Why isn’t Tony Garea in the WWE HOF? Good question….I think it may be because the “older people” on the “selection committee” are jealous of Anthony’s full head of hair but that’s just one man’s opinion. Tony was an especially talented tag team wrestler in all seriousness and still has 50 cents of the first dollar he ever earned which many wrestlers past and present cannot say.

Steve- Yes I have knowledge of Jim Cornette’s Halloween Wedding and Mrs. J.R. and I were invited. J.C. is one of the best minds ever in the biz and is arguably the best manager of all time with Bobby Heenan being 1A at worst. We wish J.C. and his bride nothing but happiness as they will certainly never have many dull moments knowing Jim as I do.

Davinder/UK- I never say never regarding Hulk wrestling again the in the WWE but it doesn’t seem too likely at this time. I agree that Hogan fans would love to see him come back to the WWE if only for a one off match or a handful of matches. However, Hulk wrestling elsewhere other than the WWE seems akin to Tom Brady not playing QB in the NFL.

Dawn- We have had inquiries about franchising a J.R.’s BBQ in both New York City and Los Angeles but we are simply not there yet and want to have every thing absolutely perfected in all phases of our concept before we start franchising the best BBQ in the world.

I think the WWE doing some animation is a great idea as many of the wrestlers would come to life as animated characters.

Danny- There is only ONE Undertaker and the original ‘Taker doesn’t have a stand in….trust me.

Bruce- I was recently connecting in Minneapolis from LA (THQ Appearence) to Des Moines (OU Football in Ames, Ia.)I was leery of using the men’s room in Minny after all the alleged monkey business with the Idaho politician and an undercover cop there. By the way, I have great respect for the men and women of law enforcement but how would you like to be assigned “Men’s Restroom” duty in an airport?

Marcus- I too was worred about Candice immediately after her nasty fall but thankfully she is going to be good to go sooner than not. If I run into the “Dirtiest Player in the Game” I will pass along your best wishes. I hope to see “Naitch” soon as he is missed by his many fans and pals.

Bruce- We are meeting soon to discuss the opportunity to open J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q in airports, student unions and military installations. Our slow smoked, old school Bar-B-Q concept has proven to fill a niche in the restaurant business and we are going to ride our Bar-B-Q dreams to the Promised Land…Good Lord willing.

John- Abdullah’s place in Atlanta (Peachtree City) is excellent I am told but I have not eaten there since he has moved it to the current locale. When I ate at his place years ago it was really good….ribs and chinese food….quite the combo. Abby is one of a kind for sure and parlayed his straight ahead, no nonsense style into years of main events.

Steve- We have certainly not forgotten Tulsa, my old stomping grounds, as far as our Bar-B-Q biz is concerned and I am sure that one day we will have a J.R.’s in “T-Town”.

Larry- I can only assume that DH Smith wears both the UK and Canadian flags on his wrestling rights to honor both his father and his mother’s homelands and his heritage.

Brad- There is no doubt that LSU has a talented football team even though their coach is a piece of work. LSU’s roster is rich and deep with big time talents plus if they get to play in the national title game it will be like a home game for them as it will be played in New Orleans, an hour from their campus. I do agree though that this college football season has been one for the ages and we ain’t seen nothing yet! I’m just hoping my Sooners can win out and then see where the chips fall.

Thanks for all your questions and comments and I hope that you will keep them coming. Our new items and look are fast approaching. Stay Tuned.....

Be well everyone and come back and see us!

BOOMER SOONER!

J.R.
