In case you missed it, it's hotter than a fresh, fried fix in a forest fire here in Vegas at the caulifloeralleyclub.org reunion. Let's grill....
It's always nice to see old friends at the CAC Reunion in Las Vegas. This is the 49th annual event and tonight's banquet it essentially sold out w/ about 500 paid guests.
As I often say, our tomorrow's aren't guaranteed so when I get the opportunity to catch up with old friends I consider it a gift. I think in general that many of us take our old acquaintances for granted. Big mistake.
Had fun catching up w/ WWE recruiter extraordinaire Jerry Brisco, Terry Funk, JJ Dillon, Brian Blair, Sergeant Slaughter and my old pal Dennis Brent who's a great historian, collector of some amazing wrestling memorabilia and who worked for WCCW, MID SOUTH, UFW, WCW, and WWE. He and his wife Lynn were invaluable assets to every organizations for which they were employed.
I'm having lunch today w/ my old friend Marc Ratner who is now SVP of UFC. This is our CAC tradition. Marc had been a friend since his days w/ the Nevada State Athletic Commission when they sanctioned pro wrestling in the state.
Tonight is the big, CAC banquet where I will be presenting Terry Taylor w/ an award while Jerry Brisco will be honoring Michael Hayes. WWE has reserved two tables at the banquet which is very supportive.
I encourage all fans and especially the IWC to become members of the CAC and help support CAC's charitable causes.
Even though I'd personally preferred that the Shield stayed together a bit longer IE imploded at Summer Slam, the turn Monday night was well executed. Heels, generally, need to be able to absorb a believable ass whipping and bump with ease and Seth Rollins certainly fills the bill. Plus, Rollins can talk well but, for some reason, I expect other shoes to drop in and around this matter before Summer Slam.
The latest Ross Report Podcast is up now with Eric Bischoff at podcastone.com. Smart talk coveting one of the most impactful periods of time in the business. I think true fans will really enjoy the conversation plus my latest, wacky booking ideas.
