Drunk Fans.. Hollywood Blonde Reunion.. Factions Dead?.. Cornette Commentary.. Broken Tables.. ‘91 Bash, Ugh.. International Shi

Thanks for providing us with so much feedback on the opportunity to buy a signed “J.R.’s Cook Book” and all your T shirt and other merchandise ideas. They are all greatly appreciated. Business has picked up in our store here on the site and we are definitely appreciative of that as well. You guys are the best! Our Beef Jerky is becoming a big time favorite. WWE.com’s Shopzone is selling some flavors of our sauce and our Jerky and they ship worldwide, so for you folks outside the USA, you might want to check out the WWE site and place your orders there. I confirmed that they ship everywhere this week, so if you’ve been waiting for it, you can order it from WWE! Below is the link to take you right there when you’re ready to order! If you go through the WWE SHOP main page, the J.R. items are listed under “Other Merchandise.” We are still working on the paperwork and such to get this done for our own site. I don’t have a timeline as to when this task will be completed. As far as ordering your sauce and jerky RIGHT NOW and getting it ASAP, WWE has a huge shipping department that ships all over the world already

Let’s get to your comments…

Fish- Jeremy Shockey is a helluva football player who grew up in Ada, Oklahoma. I think he has matured over the past season or two which will help his preparation for this season and should contribute to him having a nice year for the Giants. Jeremy is a character and probably would be a helluva star in the WWE. The WWE has zero control over “drunk fans” at WWE events because it is the arena that controls the sale of beer and other concessions in their arena. People who drink and make an ass of themselves are a bore to be around, no matter what the event. The only person that can stand a drunk is another drunk.

Jesselee- I seriously doubt if the Hollywood Blondes of Austin and Pillman would have ever had a reunion in the WWE. Both were hell bent on singles careers.

Natalie- I don’t know all the details of why Bruno Sammartino is perpetually angry at the WWE but it seems as if he is. That’s too bad, as Bruno deserves his day in the WWE sun at the Hall of Fame. It is hard for me to fathom that I am in the WWE HOF and Bruno isn’t. I find it very unhealthy for anyone to carry such angst with them for prolonged periods of time. Plus, Bruno’s fans deserve to enjoy the moment at the WWE HOF if Bruno would accept entry. And no, I don’t think he should go in without his blessing and support. I suggest to the legendary Sammartino, and I mean that in all seriousness, to “let it go.”

Kathy- I concur with the moderator that Rudy’s in San Antonio is a good Bar-B-Q to try. I have had several meals there with Steve Austin myself, as Steve used to live near there. However, Rudy’s won’t compare to J.R.’s I assure you!

Ryan- What do I do Tuesday-Sunday? I travel on Sunday and I travel on Tuesday. When I have free time, I work on the website, I am helping open a major investment in our restaurant, I have “honey do’s” to accomplish, and I hang out with my friends, many on the OU Football coaching staff. Plus I still have significant WWE administrative responsibilites to fulfill. And I hit the Sonic about every day.

Jack in New Zealand- I don’t think YouTube, or any one else, has the right to make money off of products they do not own. I enjoy YouTube from time to time also, but why should someone be able to profit off of another’s property? Also, any company HAS to protect their copyrights by law, in order to continue ownership.

Jack- I don’t think factions are dead. I think they are less likely to be utilized until the right combination of talent is assembled for a new faction and the timing is right. Again, the lack of depth has changed the way wrestling companies book their product.

Michael- King uses a company laptop at ringside on Monday nights. We really don’t need King’s personal laptop sitting in a public place! Just kidding.

Greg- The great Danny Hodge deserves to be in every wrestling Hall of Fame that exists. Period. Yes, we plan on having our Bar-B-Q at the OU home football games again, in addition to having our restaurant open on June 27 as it now stands.

Noah- I absolutely was a Phi Lamb at NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in my college days. Every Phi Lamb story I could think of involved 3 things, cold beer, parties, and intramural football. All were wild, fun times. Nickel beer night was a dangerous deal when the Phi Lambs got together.

Terry- Good grief…I never said I did not like Alberta when I spoke kindly of Toronto! Plus, I have as much to do with the scheduling of events as you do, which is nothing. I could bitch and moan about OKC not having any events that I am aware of, the entire year of 2007, but I won’t. That proves right there that I have nothing to do with scheduling!

Daniel- Jim Cornette is one of the most talented minds ever in wrestling, albeit he oftentimes demonstrates a volatile personality. I loved doing commentary with JC and have many fond memories of our relationship that dates back to the 80’s.

JG- Did I really “rip” MVP’s attire? Is “rip” the term? I don’t personally like his ring attire, but I damn sure don’t “hate” it. My only point is that it seems that MVP has a good physique that fans may never see. He’s got a truck load of potential, nonetheless.

Bobbracew- Is Kennedy “injury prone?” I doubt it and hope not, that’s for sure. He’s another young WWE talent who is going to really be a star.

Ivan- Why has The Undertaker been involved in so many specialty matches? Because many have lent compatibly to his persona and perhaps more importantly, is that Taker is good at them.

Smokey- Wrestlers not appearing on TV doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not in the arena.

Sinistergrynn- I do love “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” but I won’t be going to Ted Danson for any investment advise on the restaurant. However, I may try to recruit “Hugh.”

Mile HIgh- I know the King would love to wrestle in a significant series of matches in the WWE. King would much rather wrestle than do commentary. I hope Jerry gets to compete at a Wrestlemania some day, as in 2008. King still wrestles several days a month in Memphis and on the indy circuit.

Jordan- I have not heard the whereabouts of Muhammad Hussan in months. I don’t even know if he wants to get back into wrestling.

Bill- Dusty Rhodes is working in WWE Creative using his impressive creative skills to help the product. Dusty kidded me about my HOF speech going too long and I kidded him back about the highlight of his speech being Dusty shaking his ample arse.

Simon- I totally disagree on Benoit. Chris is a main eventer in the eyes of everyone who counts, and to compare Chris with Angle doesn’t work for me. They are two totally different personalities.

Rory- I do not consider Mick Foley a “stuntman.” I am not against using foreign objects in matches, but I am against the “overuse” of these objects. That’s a personal preference on my part. No one has to agree but if these chairs, etc. are used less frequently they will mean more when they are used.

Horowitz 3:16- If there ever was a Umaga-Khali “Evening Gown Match” I think Styles and Tazz should call it, because seeing the two competitors in “large” evening gowns is definitely extreme.

Tim- When the announce tables are broken, they are reassembled as a rule. Why leave chairs around ringside? Where do you propose folks sit without chairs?

Chris- Why did the 1991 Scaffold Match take place with most of the competitors afraid of heights? There is no logical answer. It certainly was not good planning and may have been someone’s “after thought” and simply added to the show as it was not a featured main event. That was a long night.

IMan- It seems you simply don’t like some of the creative you see, which is certainly your choice. As I mentioned, success is judged in many forms, including financially and artistically. I was never a Doink fan either, but I always exercised my option of changing the channel when I saw something I did not like. There is always “Weather on the 8’s.”

Jonny- As I mentioned, WWE.com’s Shopzone is shipping some of our products internationally. I hope you will check them out. Plus, my entire induction speech is available on WWE.com too, which I hope everyone will check out.

Reverend Funk- Cables or ropes? I think cables the last I looked. My most memorable experience of George the Animal Steele was meeting him for the first time in 1993 and George talking like a normal person. I was somewhat taken aback.

B.A.- This is another topic we have touched on, why don’t wrestling play by play men call more holds and moves? Because the companies want stories to be told and for the play by play guys to not do the "hold for hold" method any longer. It’s called, following the directions from the “home office.”

Nick- I am sorry Carlito did not smile for your Disneyworld photo, but if you were with Mickie James as well, it couldn’t be all bad. Perhaps Carlito was having “female problems” or something that day. Or a bad hair day… who knows?

Newton- One of the reasons I have not answered you could be that you asked questions I have already addressed on numerous occasions. Yes, I know we need a FAQ section badly. However, Steve Blackman is teaching mixed martial arts and self defense in Pennsylvania and charming people with his warm personality. Just kidding, as I had a lot of fun with Steve and his dry wit.

Jay- We are looking forward to Raw in Hampton, which is sold out. (No “slump” in Hampton!) After the show everyone, goes their separate ways. I assume some may go to their hotel bar, etc. I don’t recommend it, but that’s just me. Sometimes less than good things happen real late at night with the wrestlers and drunken alpha male bar patrons. I have a 6 a.m. flight out of Norfolk on Tuesday morning, so I know where I will be after Raw… in my room taking a couple of hour nap.

Stug- I am totally against women competing against men in a wrestling ring. Call me old fashioned, but it makes no sense to me. I never liked Chyna competing against men either.

Nathaniel- I strongly suggest you check out Harley Race’s wrestling school near the Lake of the Ozarks. Harley is a legend who is also a great teacher. Down the road when other wrestlers ask who trained you, if you can say Harley Race, they will approve.

J Horal- When I mentioned Scott Hall having a great “wrestling mind,” it is akin to a football player having natural instincts, especially a QB who can quickly recognize defenses and coverage’s. Scott had the ability to quickly size up his opponents strengths and weaknesses and to know what the audience wanted to see.

Joey- When I think of the old days of the San Antonio wrestling territory I think of Bruiser Brody and Jose Lothario, but there were so many more. Perhaps some old timers can chime in here. (Moderator adds; “Mr. Piledriver” Bob Sweetan, Kevin Sullivan, Tully Blanchard, Ivan Putski, Scott Putski, Luna, Johnny Mantell, Scott Casey, Jonathon Boyd and the Sheepherders of course, and many more. Bruiser Brody, managed by Playboy Gary Hart, was indeed the icing on the cake when Brody was on the card! At a big outdoor event in San Antonio, Brody once came to the ring in the back of an ambulance that was wailing away. The ambulance stayed at ringside to take Brody’s opponent back to the hospital after the match! The Sheepherders were later replaced by the Maori’s from New Zealand, managed by Boyd, when Luke and Butch left for Mid South Wrestling.)

Cory- It is great hearing from an Oklahoma State fan, as I pull for the Cowboys every game but one. We are still looking for feedback on the potential of making our “J.R.’s Cookbook” available for the holidays and I appreciate yours and everyone’s feedback.

Tired Hippo- Can one wrestle with Cystic Fibrosis? I could not answer that one, but I don’t believe on putting any limits on one’s self. If you ask some people, TV announcers with Bells palsy should be on radio and not TV. Don’t let people tell you what you can’t do… ever.

Ron- Yes, HBK is a huge Spurs fan who follows them closely and used to be a season ticket holder when he was off the road all those years. I don’t know when the Adrian Peterson Vikings jerseys will be available, but I think the purple and gold #28 jerseys will be a hot seller. Let’s get AD signed first, as I hope he gets to camp on time and is ready to run.

Again, I hope you will check out WWE.com’s Shopzone for J.R.’s products and remember that the WWE is shipping them all over the world. Plus, my Hall of Fame speech is available on WWE.com as well and I sure hope you will check it out. Many have liked it and some haven’t. You be the judge. In the meantime… please visit our store here and enjoy “Jerky-Mania!”

BOOMER SOONER!
