Eddie Fatu aka Umaga's Condition Worsens

The news out of Houston is not good for Eddie Fatu aka Umaga.
I was informed by someone who has spoken to a Fatu family member that Eddie has been removed from life support and his condition is obviously grave. Unfortunately, one can expect more bad news to be released imminently.
Reportedly, Eddie had a massive heart attack while sleeping but those reports are not official. Eddie had just returned from a tour of Australia where he reportedly was, seemingly, healthy and doing well.
Eddie has a young family and a loving wife that really need everyone's prayers and support at this time.
This is a huge shock to me as I thought Eddie was doing well and had lost some weight over the past several months. Eddie was a natural and possessed amazing agility and quickness for such a large man. He always seemed to me to be a good hearted, sensitive guy. God Bless Eddie Fatu.

Hey JR.i know how you feel about the loss of one of the WWE's finest.Umaga was a great competitor,no doubt.he will be greatly missed by the WWE,his friends,& his family.first Test,then Lou Albano,and now Umaga.i think the WWE should do a special tribute to the late samoan bulldozer.in my opinion if he hadnt been released,he would've had such a bright future ahead of him.he could've been a world champion,but he's gone now.umaga may not have held many titles,but he was one of the greatest in the business,with his speed & power. I was wondering what your view on how the PPV market will act come March when we will see the biggest boxing match, possibly of all time between Mayweather and Pacquiao on March 15th, UFC 111 on March 27th and of course, Wrestlemania 26 on March 28th?
How much of this will be on the minds of WWE when planning ahead and do you think we could see Brock Lesnar, if he is 100% go up against Wrestlemania?

I am saddened to hear of Eddie' sudden death. It is a true lose for wrestling fans. I will keep the Fatu family in my prayers. On a brighter note I am glad to hear that you are doing better. I take it to mean that my prayers are being heard. =) I will continue to pray for your speedy return to the WWE. On a personal note, I will graduate from Regis University in about 12 months. Yes, I am entering my final year =)

I like to send my symapthy to Fatu,Anoi, and Mavia family on the passing to Umaga. I found out on a wrestling website. I rember the match he had with Cena on a lossing match with Cena he put John Cena to work on the last man standg match. Umaga is in heaven with the High Chief Peter Mavia, Yokozuna, Eddie, Owen planning a big wrestling event and Gordon Sollie is calling the match in the pearly gates of heaven. Umanga is gone not forgotten.

I couldn't believe that Umaga passed on yesturday it really shocked me that such a great talented wrestler to die too soon.
it reminds me of when Eddie Gurerrero passed i was really saddend by hisdeath because he was a great superstar just like Umaga and will always be missed here in St.Louis,Missouri.
For every fan in WWE i suggest chanting 'Umaga" at every WWE Event to keep his memory alive like we all did for Eddie Gurerrero.
I can imagine Owen Hart and Eddie Gurerrero plotting a Prank on maga once he enters Heaven.
I send out my condolences to the Fatu Famil on their loss and i hope that they can take care of eachother during this time of mourning and uncertainty.

Just found out about Umaga's passing, I don't think there are any words that I could write to do justice to the pain that his family must be going thru. At times like this, prayer and family are essential.
I just hope that this tragedy doesn't get treated as wrestling deaths are usually portrayed or presented, as I feel it would be an insult to the Fatu family.

I really wish that this would stop happening; it is so sad that yet another young man has lost his life all too soon. When I heard the news, I was so surprised and shocked. I hope his family will be alright during this unfortunate time. :(

Pro wrestling loses another loved one much too young. My condolences to Eddie's family, friends, and fans. Being a lifelong wrestling fan, it always hurts when I read of another passing. They are pretty much family to all of us fans. I hope they all know that.
Also, I hope you're doing well J.R. Get better and back ringside real soon.
