Traveling in bad weather really is challenging. Mother Nature has been angry my friends.
I spent a good, productive day in Stamford at WWE HQ. Lots of interesting conversation ensued. Even went by my old department. Saw many old friends. Nothing finalized but a potential plan is in the works. Some fun and important projects were discussed. I am excited to hear what might be next.
My goal has always been to attend WM26 and that matter is in play. I truly love the event and I know that this year's show will be awesome with or without me.
The question I have to ask myself is how much time I'm physically able to invest. Can I still handle traveling 51 weeks a year and giving all I need to to contribute to the level that I expect of myself.
Thank God I'm feeling better but many, major decisions have to be addressed. I can only say that time will tell over the next few weeks and the best decision will be made. This by no means that my love for the business has diminished whatsoever.
As I have said, interesting days lie ahead. Thanks for your support with this matter and in our store.

I really hope that you can come back and call WM26. It would be a tragedy to see you not call what will be the biggest match in WM history, with the "Career vs. Streak" storyline with HBK and the Undetaker.
I truly hope you can call that historic match. It would definitely make it worth the 50 bucks I'll spend on WM26.

Right now, health willing, I'll be out for the FSU game and I'm throwing my NROTC Reunion weekend on 18Sept, the Air Force game. I do hope to see you back on WWE TV soon and selfishly, I hope it's in a weekly role on Raw or NXT as these two time slots work best for me. Jim, just follow your heart! For my own selfish desires however, I would at least like to hear you commentate one final show. Maybe a Jim Ross farewell tour. The last Raw and Smackdown before the final PPV of your commentating career... three final shows to remember you by. You deserve a proper farewell when you decide to call it a career!

I think if you're still passionate about it, why can't you just return to call the big matches? Announcers don't generally have much to do with the specific matches, so why couldn't J.R. return to teach a clinic on broadcasting whenever a match like Taker/HBK comes up?
The hustle and bustle of the WWE schedule seems like it would be a big turn-off, especially when you have a new(er) restaurant, and a lovely wife at home.
I don't want to think about a time when I'll never hear you calling a match... But that's selfish. I think you have an unlimited amount of ways to better the business, as a mentor to the future of the industry ... But that wouldn't require the hectic schedule.
I wish you nothing but the best... and I hope you'll being some JR's Q down to the TX State Fair this year.

Jim you have done it all in the wrestling business. Leave the 51 weeks of travel behind you and dont look back! You have a good thing going with your BBQ biz and being home with your family in Oklahoma. Stay home. Enjoy your family, enjoy your business and relax.
You have nothing left to prove. Your the best play by play man ever, everyone knows that. Youve called all the biggest and best matches from Steamboat Flair to Taker HBK and everything in between. WWEs changing, for the worse. Just doesnt have that "feel" like it used to.
Your voice provided a soundtrack that will literally live on forever.
Travel sucks. The grind sucks. Work Politics and ego sucks. Stay home, relax and enjoy life and your family.
