J.R. Answers Your Emails….As Promised

Brian-My voice is getting back to normal but thanks for asking. I think sometimes I get a little too wrapped up in my play by play but I only know one style and that’s to do it with passion. Plus having to try and talk over the clutter Monday night was challenging. I know many fans liked the multiple announce teams, I did not hate it, but at times it took away from the in ring action. As it relates to wrestling managers, this too is an art form, and just like in ring performers there is a huge shortage of talented individuals with the aptitude to be a great manager. The WWE Managers DVD is a fun watch if you like the manager era and haven’t seen it. Jessica-so now that Kane has left Raw you are bailing on us? Come on Jess don’t leave. We need all the viewers we can muster. Dustin-Shelton might be a candidate to have a competent manager but the issue is there are not an over abundance of managers who know their trade these days. I think Benjamin is awesome and could be and will be a huge star some day. Plus, every top star should know how to verbally communicate. Andre- I actually hope there are no more “J.R.Days” associated with any company events. My days of having my manhood punted and being beat up are hopefully over and that’s usually what happens. I do however sincerely appreciate the Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry, a great man by the way, in bestowing that honor to me even though the in ring ceremony sort of went south. James-The 3 announce team set up is challenging. Some of the time our mics were on all at the same time and some time they were not. Some might say that the wrestling became a backdrop for the commentary at times and that isn’t cool. Was some of the banter entertaining? Absolutely, but it was also distracting at times too and arguably too personal at times.I honestly don’t know why if it was a Monday night show why King and I had so much ringside company. Kirk-I agree it was great to see Ted DiBiase and IRS. These are two fine human beings and were great in ring technicians. I would be shocked if their sons did not follow in their father’s footsteps in the future. Darius- It looks as if we will open our first J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q at a location in Norman. Hopefully we will be ready to open around the first of the year. Van Hawk- I think Harry Smith will be a great superstar. It just takes time and everyone is anxious to see the son of the British Bulldog in action. I have known Harry since he was a small lad which he is no longer standing around 6’5” at a sturdy 260 or so pounds. Sam- Mick Foley is right in my opinion. Wrestlers who can talk do much better when provided bullet points about the topic they are to discuss than attempting to memorize copy. There are only a few people I have known that have the ability to write passionate copy for others to deliver. That too is a skill that is hard to come by. James- I see Droz about every time we are in Philly or Atlantic City. He seems to be doing well. Droz’s spirits are excellent and he seems to be regaining a little movement in his upper body. We always talk a little football which should come as no surprise. Droz is a big Maryland Terp fan. Tim-Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson does not indicate in conversations with me that he will ever be back in the ring full time. Rock misses being around the fans and performing in front of a live audience but the travel grind and the opportunities to make major motion pictures is his passion or at least one of them. I know Rock watches Monday nights when he can as we occasionally discuss when transpires on the show. The “Great One” was one of the best signees I ever inked. Dwayne is one class act. Randy at 4:51 a.m.- Wow you are up early. I could use a grammar lesson or two myself Randy. I just discovered spell check not that long ago! “Double J” rocks…O.K. I’ll take your word for it. George in Japan- First of all keep up the great work with our Military. My respect for our troops has never been higher in my life. My thanks to all of the men and women who keep America safe. Yes, George, I heard plenty of the Texas victory over OU last Saturday at the Cotton Bowl. Luckily for me Dusty was not in Columbia Monday but I heard plenty, too much quite honestly, from JBL. OU has won 5 of the last 7 games with UT but I guess that doesn’t count. I am not sure of the schedule for the WWE in Japan but check out wwe.com for all the info. Dusty will verbally abuse me next week but at least JBL will be back on Smackdown. Steven L.- Arn Anderson is a brilliant mind and could make any one he associates with better. AA is a natural born teacher and has a great aptitude for the business. I was working in Mid South Wrestling when Arn, then known as Marty Lunde, got his first job in a territory. AA is a classic and could still be better than most if he had not suffered serious neck injuries. Eric “Mr. Kennedy”- I am stoked that you liked our sauces. We are really proud of them and think everyone will like them if they just try them just once. If you don’t like them, let me know. We want everyone to be happy but the feedback we have been getting has been really positive. Our on line store is open and we ship any where in the world. Keep the emails coming with your questions and comments and I will do my best to get to them as quickly as time allows. We do appreciate you checking out our site and your support of our sauces and merchandise. Thanks!! J.R.

JR, Tag teams on RAW is dull beside Cryme Tyme it needs new blood someone like Jack Bull & Oleg Prudius also to bring back up lack of big man on Raw.Also to use the Val Venis&Rob Conway with one of sprit squad because breakup any way as Mr.Wonderful gimmick with ss be manager/mirror hold. Also Harry Smith & Paul Birchawll as the new bulldogs.Shetlon benjamin to bring a faction like the nation of domination with charles evans, and sonny siaki.

Hi J.R. I've been a fan of the WWE for 16 years and counting, and since the 10th grade I've always wanted to be a creative writer for the WWE's creative team. My questions are: 1)What does the WWE look for in a writer? 2)Would I have to have a college degree? 3)How do I apply?

hey j.r. everybodys getting a dvd out what I like see is you getting one like your best slobber knocker matchs you call.what was your best match you ever call in wrestling history. thank you for all you do for wrestling.hey is another faction startin up we got DX and I would like see john cena join up but what about edge and randy the new faction the cuttin edge what you think

J.R., I just watched the Brian Pillman DVD and thought it was beyond excellent. In the Extra features I loved your story about the 18 inch piece of human waste that Brian once showed you. In fact, I haven’t had a laugh that satisfying in years. My question (and my friends and I are serious about wanting to know this believe it or not) is just how “thick” was this 18 inch uninterrupted bowel movement??? Please fill me in, and keep up the good work. RAW was not the same while you were out. Thanks, Ken - Los Angeles

Mr Ross, I can't begin to tell you how excited it made me to see Ted Dibiase, Mike Rotunda, Arn Anderson & Rowdy Roddy Piper in a WWE arena at the same time last week after so many years. I must admit part of me momentarily contemplated the possibility (no matter how unlikely) that Vince was going to set up a "Legends" type of match for the big Raw premiere. Being that Mr McMahon seems to only want to utilize full time talent these days, what do you think the liklihood of one of these one-off Legends matches could occur in the future?

Please vote for "The Dongman" to become Kansas City's newest moring radio dj on 997 KY. I'm in Group 1 Voting. Your vote will be greately appreciated!!-"Super Dongman"

When are they gonna get JBL out of announcing ? He stinks. Does he still listen to Village People music all the time ? The only announcer worse than JBL is Vince McMahon. Vince announced back in the old days and was pitiful. Michael Cole is not much better either. He would be better suited to sell hot dogs in the concession stands. J.R. you are still the best play by play wrestling announcer of all time.

I'm just wondering if the WWE will get a new logo? because this whole "WW" logo is just stupid. The whole "Get the "F" Out" thing is over and done with. It's now time to get a new "WWE" logo. Will this happen anytime soon? Because the Attitude Era is done and over with. So get a new logo.

Hi Jim: When I first started listening to you with play by play, 1 of the first wrestlers names I heard you call was Sting. Do you keep in contact with Sting? Also, do you still keep in touch with Steve "Dr. Death" Williams?

hey ,jr!i have 2 questions for you!1)do tazz and JBL have any animosity between them...and 2) what did you think of Kurt Angle's interview on impact?thanks!

How about that Kurt Angle interview? Painted a different picture as to what went down between WWE and Angle. well, only the people in that room know the truth as to what went down. JR, I noticed what seounded like some real tension between Tazz and JBL on RAW, how did that go over on the otherside, the business side? TV great, makes good drama and helps build a storyline somewhere, battle of the brands and all that, but the real bitterness between people, how is that handled?

I want the Klik on the ring... in one feud fort the first time... Hall/Nash Vs HBK/HHH... my dream. Bring Back theeeeeeeee nWo

Hi J.R., Just thought I'd leave some comments about the Tag Team Divisions on RAW & Smackdown and also grab your opinions. Tag Team wrestling is often the breeding ground of future superstars The Hollywood Blondes The Rockers The Hart Foundation The Hardy Boyz Edge & Christian All being prime examples do you feel more emphasis should be put on tags teams? Both rosters lack tag teams RAW Cade & Murodch (Who remind so much of the glorys days of Mid South) Spirit Squad Cryme Time Smackdown Paul London & Brian Kendrick (Easily in my humble opinion the best tag team in the industry) KC James & Idol Stevens (Still very green) The Gymini what is the solutiuon to this problem moving the tags teams all to one brand? or just simple hiring more tag teams from the indy circuit? What are your thoughts?

Hey JR Why wont WWE ever give the world title to the Undertaker. He's been in the buisness for 16 years and has only got 4 short world title reigns?

Hey J.R I just need to say that you have been my favorite announcer since I've been watching the WWE(the WWF). My question to you is about Stone Cold Steve Austin. Will he come back to RAW in the near future. I would love to see him as the Sherrif of RAW again! Kind Regards from South Africa!

Man, the best part about that show was at the end when it went off the air, you could hear a loud noise...as if someone threw the headphones off! Haha! It was great. The announce team bickering is pretty annoying though.

J.R I was watching the 97 Survivor Series again (yes, I am from Canada) and I found your commentating at the end of the match rather interesting. To me you did't seemed too shocked by the controversial finish that just occurred right before your eyes. I believe if you knew about the scripted finish and you did't see it unfold you would be at a loss for words or really shocked. This leads me to wonder if you knew about the double-cross or you were really good at masing your feelings and try to seem as normal as possible calling the end of the match as it went down. Please enlighten me J.R.

What's up Jim? I've been reading through your blog (cool stuff) and I definitely agree with you on the sentiments over the tag-team division these days. London and Kendrick are definitely top notch wrestlers, but there's virtually no other team out there for them to face off with on Smackdown. The same goes for Raw. The Spirit Squad has had the belts since the day after Wrestlemania, and the small number of teams they faced off with were between guys who were just thrown together with no explanation, or were competitors that never caught much TV time on Raw. Personally, I wonder why D-X doesn't have the Raw tag titles. To me those belts aren't even within a mile of the same credibility they had 3 years ago (or almost any year before that) If Raw would actually open the doors for more built-up teams, that area wouldn't be so lackluster. The IC division has been doing better thanks to the great chemistry Hardy and Nitro had, the World belt is fine as always, and the Women's....er..what happened to the Women's belt?

Thanks for posting again and replying to my comment. I look forward to trying your sauces, but I am very cheap. Although I'd gladly pay you something for your time on this blog. I haven't gotten to see you on the WWE 24/7, but I thought you were co-hosting a couple of specials. Anything worth writing about that experience?

Hey, Jr. Now that Rey Mysterio will take time off, Any Chance he will switch to Raw like Kane switched to Smackdown? Cuz I really hope he doesn't. I love Rey as a SD! Superstar.

hi J.R. i wanted to know im going to try and get tickets for royal rumble, it might be my dad, my girlfriend and i. my dad loves wrestling he watches raw, smackdown, ecw and the pay per views. would it be possible for him to meet some of the superstars? i know his favorite superstar is the undertaker. my dad is going blind, he is a vietnam veteran, he also uses oxygen. also are you going to see the marine this weekend? take care and Go Sooners!

How's it goin', JR, I was just wanting to say that I very much agreed like an earlier post that the brands coming together was definitely a good thing. To see it on live television without having to pay was even better. The show definitely had a few amazing moments, my favorites being Flair and his backup and Beniot's return to monday nights. I do have a few questions to ask you: 01.) Seeing as how the brand extension probably wont end at least anytime soon because it's obvious how Vince is very keen on making this work, will we be seeing another draft lottery anytime soon because to at least mix it up would make it more enjoyable for a while and probably do wonders for both brands. 02.) Any word on why Gunner Scott was released so early because I really don't understand as he wasn't given enough time to develop at all in my opinion. The Boogeyman was brought back and to me it seems a little ridiculous to bring him back but let a great athlete albeit a little green Scott go. Lastly, unlike a few others have to say, it was definitely a great idea to let Kane go from Raw. I've read he could possibly show up on Smackdown and this could only bring good things with a reunion between Kane and The Undertaker again to possibly finish out both of their careers. Well thanks again and hopefully I'll hear from you soon.

what are your thoughts on Cena winning the title from Edge? Personally i'm not with Cena, but i'm not against him. I was actually very disappointed when Edge, who i think to be extremely deserving of that title, lost it. Especially considering some of the bumps he took falling of the ladder then sliding off the table onto the floor. I was hoping to see Cena boost Smackdown! ratings, maybe even a cena/lashley fued. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to answer us fans, it means alot to me. thank you

I thought it was just going to be you and the King on Monday but was suprised when I saw that all 3 teams were there. It was fun at some parts, the funniest being when both you and JBL were plugging your websites, just the way you both sounded made me laugh. At other times though, I thought it took away from the matches, and would have rather had just The king and yourself, but it was fun for just the one night.

What up, JR? I'm also curious to know if you heard any more news on DX vs. nWo. In my opinion, that feud will make a lot of money. It would probably have as much build as Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock at Wrestlemania X8. I just hope that feud happens in the near future.

I Really Felt Bad For Kane on Monday But Maybe This Is For The Best For Him now He Can Move On To Raise Havok on Smackdown or Even ECW Who Know's. Were Ever He Goes He Will Do Very Well....I Just Hope He Get's A Chance To Have A Rematch With Umaga First To Really See Who Is The True Monster With Out Any Interferance From Outside The Ring........ And If Not I will Still Be There For Kane No Matter Want Happen's...

JR, a lot has been said about the use of Eddie Guerrero's memory following his death. Now, we have Vickie on TV, in a heel manager role of sorts. I know there was some financial hardship there after Eddie passed and I'm glad they've brought her on, presumably to help her pay the bills. But how do you feel about her role and part in the wake of Eddie's demise? I'm sure she's doing her best and will improve with time, but it's not as if she's a great talent at this stage. Is the loss of Eddie and the financial hardship that created for his family the only reason she's there? How do you feel about the decision?

Hi Mr. Ross, great column this week. Hope you're doing good, I was wondering if we'll be seeing more of Victoria on Raw anytime soon? She's one of my favorite female wrestlers, and I've always wanted to know your thoughts on her. Thanks. Emily NYC

JR, you are one of the greatest wrestling announcers ever! I am proud to hear your voice on RAW. Anyway, here is my question: Which of these matches do you like to call the most: A Royal Rumble, A ladder match, or a good old fashion Singles match? Personally, it would be the Royal Rumble.

will the new age outlaws come back?

Hey JR how are you hope this finds you in good health. I am from east tennessee (johnson city)to be exact. So i guess you know this is horsmen country . I saw the great american bash in 1987 with dusty, nikita, and the roadwarriors vs the 4 horsemen with jj.I believe it was the day after lex had won the u.s title. No pyro or smoke just a ring and some lights and that place was packed, and the best show ive ever seen.My question is will we ever see a horsemen dvd set? If we do get one make shure they include the time they chased dusty through charolette and got out and tully had some cruches and they beat him down!Great to see AA on monday hope you all use him more. Thanks for the time and keep up the good work....

im anthony from freeland pa i wanna ask whens wwe coming back to wilkes barre pa im close to wilkes barre pa i wanna see them there more often and whens wwe returning to nyc msg agian also would u ever like to see cena vses hulk hogan

Just wanted to say that I look forward to the Edge/Orton alliance. I hope that they don't have to job to DX(more than a few times). I know Edge and Orton have more spit and vinegar than HHH and HBK, and it shows. I'm not sure how this could end good but I hope it isn't with the obvious "Orton/Edge feud because of Lita" angle. I did catch Orton glance at Lita with less than honorable intentions so...I guess we'll find out. Do u have any thoughts? T p.s. JBL SUCKS

I am actually excited to see Kane go to Smackdown. I feel Smackdown has dropped in the talent area, with few exceptions, Mr. Kennedy, Greg Helms, Matt Hardy, Booker T, and Fit Finlay. Undertaker is solid still, yet he has few appearances, Lashley has potential, and the return of Benoit was desperately needed. I would really like to see Noble and Helms team if Helms loses title anytime soon. I think throwing Kane into the mix will definately bring the competition levels up a few notches. In fact, Kane may be able to break into the heavyweight title chase, which, he has not been in on Raw for some time, due to the huge pushes of Cena, Orton, HHH, Batista, and so on. Kane has been jobbing for Umaga, other Kane, Snitsky, and who ever else...I would like to see Kane and Taker go at it again....or even tag team....I mean, you have two tag teams, London and Kendrick and KC James and Idol...thats it. 2 teams on Smackdown, everyone else is singles. I have been impressed with the more recent shows from SD, best I've seen from them in a while. Raw is still Raw to me. alot of HHH and HBK. Alot of talking, alot of diva shots. little in ring action. Benjamin should either venture to smackdown or TNA. Unless there is a better solution for this guy on the staff there, He is being completely overlooked and under used. Jobbing for Carlito, Orton, Hardy, and basically anyone he steps in the ring with. He is better than 99% of the roster. Maybe him and Haas should re-team and take over the Tag division. I do like Murdoch and Cade....

Thanks for responding to my comment jr. Can't wait to you ship to canada Your going to be getting a nice size order from me thats for sure i've been craving your BBQ Sauce like a Addict craves heroine for many summers now. I think there is a huge place for the 'old timers' I think it would be great if they where all thrown into a group called the old world order and those who could wrestle or even half wrestle could give a nice push to the younger talent. Look at what they did for Randy Orton. I think it would just be awsome and the them being thrown into one big group. just a thought i guess i cant give up my child hood favorites. I hope they do the right thing on Tna though i dont watch it to often and have Angle loose to Joe if and when they get a match. Speaking of Joe him and Umaga in a match is now added to my match wish list.

Do you think we will ever see wrestling hit a boom period like it did in the late 90's and possibly surpass that as far as success goes? I think if TNA continues to grow it might be healthy competition for WWE...but we're talking years from now at this rate. I think the competition between WCW and WWF made wrestling better for everyone. The wrestlers were drawing money, which translated into bigger paychecks for them. The fans got treated to some great tv, as both companies were vying for their attention (and dollars...lol). Keep up the great work here on your website and behind the announce table. You have literally made some of the worst matches in wrestling hist seem at least watchable with your announcing. I would imagine it had to be rough trying to come across as genuinely excited while calling some stinky matches.

Saw the new photos and they are great as usual. Happy Anniversary to you and your beautiful wife. Next year will be my wife and mines 12th. We're not too far behind you.

ok, i won't leave. Just for you and king. i am not balling. I am balling at the fact that umaga won. It just wont be the same with out kane. Your always my fave. I promise to keep watching raw.

Hey Jr, Hope you're doing well. I just want to know what you think about the Edge/Orton alliance? I think it's gonna be great watching these two go against DX. They look like the'll be magic together, and working against Triple H/Shawn is already a goldmine in itself. I think any young wrestler should be glad at the opportunity to work at such a main even status with Shawn and Hunter. It worked once for Randy before, but this time I just hope it lasts. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks and have a great week!

JR...thank you very much for this blog and your interaction. It's cool of you to do this. I have a couple questions/comments so here we go... 1. Are there any plans to do another Wrestlemania-like documentary? I recently re-watched my Wrestlemania 20 DVD and was absolutely captivated by the Mania of Wrestlemania documentary. I thought it was by far the most interesting and in depth WWE documentary that has ever been done. The reason I ask is it got me thinking to how Beyond the Mat got an Oscar nod and with the emergence of WWE Films, this could be a project that could gain a lot of momentum. Also, with UFC claiming to be "real" and basically calling our entertainment "not real", I think it would interesting for a bigger audience to see how real pro wrestling can be. Just a thought. 2. I've been throwing this around with my roomates regarding this year's College Football Bowl picture. My Florida State Seminoles are most def. out of the BCS picture so I've theorize d it will be Florida vs. Ohio State for the National Title. What do you think?

Hi JR I know the WWE keep telling the fans to leave storylines to the creative team, but looking at some of the characters on Smackdown at the moment, I can't help but wonder what I would do if I ha my oppertunity. Looking at Wrestlemania 23 and Hogan. Him and Austin will never get in the ring I dont think. Hogan vs Big show has been seen before and doesn't interset me. What about Hogan vs Edge. Edge has been a Hogan fan since he was a child. It would be a dream match for Edge im sure and correct me if im wrong, but I think those two get along in real life? Have Edge saying how he always idolised Hogan etc. But then he found something else to idolise... a mirror! It would be great. What do you think, JR?

I think that it's sad that WWE is going into the softcore porn thing with the Extreme Strip Poker! When I wanna see RAW,ECW or SmackDown! I wanna see wrestling, and I wanna watch porn after 2400! RAW Family was very good:O But to messy with 3 booths! BTW JR what you meaning about the Packers? And thank you WWE writers for giving Benoit the U.S Title! Next time give him the World Title back!

Dear J.R, Just to say your international barbecue-loving fans are waiting in mouth-watering anticipation at your sauces becoming available for worldwide shipping. I know it's all down to logistics and therefore know there's no-one to blame, but just wanted to assure you that it's not just the U.S. fans that are waiting to marinate their babyback ribs! :) Many thanks for a great site and your continued brilliance every Monday night! Gavin Edinburgh, Scotland

Dear JR, It is great to finally mail to you. We at India are great fans of the WWe shows and am very fond of RAW, SMACKDOWN and ECW. My question to you would be " What will be the state of Kurt Angle be if he starts wresling with out his wound be healed and will he ever be back in WWE"?You weekly blogs are great and gives me great insight into the world of Wresling.

JR, I first want to say that I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to interact with us fans. I have been a fan since the 80's. I have enjoyed your southern gentleman charm since WCW days. I have a two-part question. Who was or is your favorite manager and least favorite? GO SOONERS !!! From a fellow Okie.

Dear Mr. Ross, First and foremost I have to say thanks for your contributions not just on this website, but to the great institution of wrestling on the whole. Thanks also for interacting with fans through the site - it means a lot to me, and I'm sure to others as well. At any rate, I know you're a busy guy so I'll keep this as short as I can. Reading your discussion about the Hall of Fame got me to thinking. I'm sure a lot of folks email you expecting to have their questions answered in some official WWE capacity, so let me be clear that I'm just asking from one wrestling fan to another: What do you think of Dynamite Kid in the Hall of Fame? It seems like Dynamite is by and large forgotten nowadays and that's always struck me as a shame - even more so when I caught one of his old tag matches on WWE 24/7. Speaking of, I've always figured he'd stand a decent chance of being inducted as part of the Bulldogs, but I also know there was some bad blood between him and his late cousin Davey Boy. But that's only what I've heard and I'm not going to pretend to know how Dynamite himself feels about it now. I just think it would be fantastic to see Dynamite get some recognition from modern wrestling fans, for his contributions, accomplishments and sacrifices. Anyway, that's all. Those are some of my thoughts and I was wondering what yours are. Thanks again for doing what you do, and thanks for reading, too. I'll be sure to invest in some barbecue sauce in the coming days. Thanks again, JSP

Do you think Benoit will go back to his roots and join ECW? And what's the latest on DX vs NWO?

How hot is the Chipotle sauce? I love the stuff, but I can't eat the really firey stuff. I would like to know before I order. I would hate to buy something I could not eat. Thanx!

Hi JR IS Coach a kind of GM with a different name (executive)or will there be a replacement? I hope that Eric Bischoff becomes GM again

Hey Jim, big fan of your work, and cant wait to try the BBQ sauce … couple of points/questions that i've pondering ... would like your insight if possible * why not put the World Tag Titles on DX? The Spirit Squad hasn’t done anything with them to elevate them, and wouldn’t DX do just that? * based on the response/reaction to AA Monday night, does WWE see that there is a definate place for 'old timers' in the current product? Why not take a guy like Double A, and have him manage Benoit? On the same thought, why not have Flair and Benoit re-form the horsemen with AA as the manager … and put a 'young guy' in the mix as a 4th member? It would be a sure fire way to give a rub to a new talent, and on the same hand, give the fans that nostalgia kick of the horsemen. I think Monday night showed that there is still a market for the past. * The Roster Split: If anything, Monday night showed that there is a market to end the roster split. Now im not saying not to have Raw and Smackdown, but why the seperated rosters? Wouldn’t combining the rosters give the WWE all the more oppurtunity to provide entertaining storylines and matches? the positives outweigh the negatives... - they have 4 hours to showcase their talent ... same as now - anyone can interact with anyone at any time - no burn out by seeing the same guys on the same day, every week .. and in the same breath, unlike before the roster split ... they have enough talent that they dont need to have one guy show up twice in a week .. so theres no overkill on that end either - the unknown factor of not knowing who you will see on a given show (raw/smackdown) ... i think this would help raise viewership because people wouldnt say "oh that roster stinks im not watching" ... conversely, fans of one particular roster will watch both to see if one of their favorites shows up on a given show * lastly does WWE not see the potential for ratings via fueds between established veterans? Currently, The Undertaker is fueding with Ken Kennedy. Why? Does Vince and co. not see that if for example, HBK was moved to Smackdown, given the world title as a heel, and Taker chased for 3 months, that this would be very entertaining? Much more so than DX vs Rory and Roby. It just seems as though once a guy reaches past a certain age, they are forgotten about as it pertains to main event championship fueds, and I just don’t get it. With a roster stock full of veterans as they have, what is with the need to push all the 'young guys' and in a way, disregard the veterans? It really seems that current day WWE says that if your nearing or past 40, or your prime years are behind you, that you don’t belong near a world/wwe championship, and I feel that is wrong. And im only 24, so its not as though im some old timer mad about age discrimination. It just seems there are so many missed oppurtunities for dream fueds over championships, that are being brushed aside to let the 'young guys' get over. I mean, why not turn Flair heel, give him the WWE championship, and let a babyface HBK fued with him over that title up through the Rumble? Does anyone not see how entertaining this would be? The way these two guys would interact, and the meaning behind the championship … this would be must see television every week. Instead we are strapped with meaningless Flair matches every week on Raw, and I cant tell you how much I look forward to the upcomming Cena/Umaga wwe title fued ::rolling eyes:: Instead of having veteran A vs greenhorn B, why not have veteran vs veteran, and keep the youngsters to themselves? Then in a few years, when the veterans hang em up, THEN it can be the younger generations turn to main event and shine. But with the current talent they have that they could be utilizing to the fullest, it just seems they are not doing it, and a lot of waisted oppurtunity passing everyone by.
