It was an interesting plane ride from OKC to Columbia, South Carolina Monday night. On my flight from OKC to Atlanta I had my 3rd Bells palsy attack. more »

What a weekend with our quick trip down to Dallas for the Oklahoma vs. Texas college football game that saw my Sooners lose ugly 16-13 against their arch rivals in their 104th meeting that might have been different if OU's Heisman Trophy winning QB Sam Bradford hadn't gone down with another shoulder injury in the 1st quarter. But that's football and injuries are a part of the game. Congrats to the 'Horns on the win. I'm sure that I will hear it at work on Tuesday as I always do when OU loses as some relish in the misfortunes of others and like to be obnoxious jackasses. I have learned over the years to simply blow it off and put these folks on "ignore."

We are doing a somewhat steady flow of business in our on line store which totally funds this website. Thanks for all the well wishes regarding my wife Jan and my 16th wedding anniversary which was Monday October 12. Who said it wouldn't last?! I'm a lucky man and I have enjoyed the past few days celebrating this milestone, in wrestling years being married to the same person for 16 years is like 50 years to "normal" folks, and we will continue to enjoy this week as we travel down to Dallas on Thursday to prep for the Red River Rivalry, the Oklahoma-Texas game on Saturday at 11 a.m. central time on ABC.

Here's hoping that everyone had a nice weekend. I attended the Oklahoma-Baylor game Saturday afternoon in Norman and then closed down J.R.'s Family BBQ at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday night after we had one of the biggest nights of the year selling "Q." Business has been consistently growing at our little place that seats about 100 folks located on the east side of I35 at exit 109 in Norman. I was at our place until closing both Friday and Saturday nights and plan on being their Monday afternoon at some point as well. Later this week, it's a car trip with the Mrs. down to Dallas to take in the Red River Rivalry featuring the Oklahoma vs. Texas college football game, some shopping for my lovely wife and good food with many of our pals.   more »
