RED HOT TAG

J.R.'s Superstar of the Week - Jeff Hardy

Posted in:

Greetings from under the 200X, black Resistol hat from WWE’s resident Oklahoman, who is counting down the days until Royal Rumble while looking forward to returning south of the Mason-Dixon line this Monday in Mobile, Ala., for Monday Night Raw.

This week’s Superstar of the Week is another no-brainer, just as it was last week when Ric Flair got the nod. This week’s Raw Superstar of the Week Award goes to another North Carolinian, Jeff Hardy. Not only is the younger Hardy the Intercontinental Champion, but he is also the No. 1 contender for Randy Orton’s WWE Title. These two will meet at Royal Rumble from the sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York City. No Superstar in the entire WWE is hotter or on more of a roll than Jeff Hardy these days, and for his efforts the high-flying, risk-taker will receive delicious gifts from www.jrsbarbq.com, including our mouthwatering BBQ sauces, Chipotle Ketchup, Jalapeño Honey Mustard, Beef Jerky and our new “J.R.’s Nuts,” which are Oklahoma-grown peanuts that come in a variety of flavors.

hey there JR after seeing Jeff Hardy's leap off the cage on Raw it got be thinking of a question. What is your favorite style of gimmick match to call?

Hi, J.R. First things first: I wanted to wish you and your loved ones the very best, promising, exciting, BBQ finger lickin' good 2008! Now, to a quick question: I was present at last year's edition and I have to say that it blew me away. Even the Cena- Umaga match which I had my doubts on, turned out to be the best No Holds Barred match i have seen in years. With no disrespect to Stone Cold, Hogan, Rock or any past winner or runner-up, in MY opinion, the Rumble match was NOT the best Rumble i've seen but possibly top 3... BUT.. the ENDING was BY FAR THE BEST I'VE SEEN IN A RUMBLE or Battle Royal of all time. In this age of internet and wrestling newssheets (or dirt sheets) its hard for people not to read them and see who MIGHT win, but honest to God, that ending kept me and everybody in the arena on the edge of our seats and really not knowing the final result. You couldnt tell who was gonna win! Now, with the 2008 Royal Rumble loomin' in the horizon, i want to ask you: - What did you think of the Rumble match itself? and - What did you think of the ending between Undertaker and Shawn (a bare-bones opinion)? I know this might not mean much to them and it might be a little late but please tell Taker and Shawn THANK YOU for delivering an awesome finish to a great match as only two of the VERY BEST can. Thank you for your very limited time JR... God Bless... P.S. I wish you had been calling the match as well, but I know Cole had been due for a Rumble. No offense to Cole.

Hi, JR. Long time WWE fan here. It was great to see Bob Backlund return for Raw's 15th anniversary special. I had thought there was some tension between the WWE company and Backlund but its good to see it might be cleared up. Does this mean the former WWE Champion is clear to put into the Hall of Fame? I love to see the old time WWE Champions get put into the Hall. I'm greatly looking forward to the day when they finally get to induct the great Bruno Sammartino. Any idea on how Bruno is doing these days?
