J.R.'s Superstar of the Week - William Regal (from WWE.com)

Posted in:
Greetings from under the 200X, black, Resistol hat from WWE’s resident Okie who’s loving life in a sultry, Norman, Okla., where football, barbeque, and SummerSlam are in the air. This week’s celebrity panel of experts contacted, in part, through a séance just outside the city limits of Parts Unknown and who include Bulldog Brower, Bull Curry, Bull Nakano, Bull Ramos, Bulldog Bob Brown, Bull Bullinski, Bull Buchanan, and the Wild Bull of the Pampas have selected, along with yours truly, this week’s Raw Superstar of the Week. This winner is … the new, Raw General Manager and the man who outfoxed the field by winning the Mr. McMahon-mandated Battle Royal Monday night in Buffalo, William Regal! Come on, let’s hear it for him! The wings are on us! Read the rest of the story at WWE.com » Webmaster

Will Sunday Night Heat return on the USA Network soon?

Hey JR. Love it that Regal is GM. Not only is his in ring work a treat to watch, I also love how he gets that "twinkle" in his eye when he's up to no good. And speaking of heels, I wanted to pass along some information about Stan Lane. I was reading the Celebration Section of my local Sunday paper here in Greensboro, NC today. This section has all the wedding and engagement news. Lo and behold, I see a picture and article about a couple with the last names of Burnette-Lane. I did a double take because the groom was none other than Stan Lane. He married a local girl in June down in Sarasota, FL. The article not only mentions his current employer, Superboat International Promotions in Key West, but his past wrestling career with WCW and WWE. They also noted his tag teams of The Fabulous Ones and The Midnight Express. The article ended by stating "the couple will live in Greensboro." As you know, Greensboro used to have major events in the '70s and '80s at the coliseum so I'll let you know if I actually ever see Stan face to face someday.

Hello J.R, That was a nice read. I for one being from the UK, think it's about time William Regal got a decent push, i wrote about this in a column back in June that i felt it was unfair that a man of his talents and charisma was being held back. I have been a fan of Regal since the old ITV World of Sport days, when he competed with, against and in the presence of the likes of WWE Superstars Fit Finlay and David Taylor, among non signed Wrestlers like Rob Brookside, Steve Grey and the legendary Mick McManus. If you are interested in reading my part about Regal, among other Wrestlers, feel free. I would appreciate the Feedback if you get chance. http://www.helium.com/tm/378873/under-rated-wrestlers-talked Wayne

Thank you to the WWE for adding William Regal as the GM. He is an extremely underused talent (along with Shelton Benjamin). Also thanks for finally switching up the genre of official songs for pay-per-view. I don't mind a lil rock.. but it was becoming predictable..."here comes a ppv.... what hard rock song is WWE gonna choose". Granted this is (as far as I remmeber) only the 2nd non-hardrock theme (Fat Joe's Get It Poppin). But a good change up nonetheless.

Hey JR Do you know if Regal will still be wrestling or is he just oging to be a GM? Id think with the lack of talent taking some one of Regals calibre out of the ring isnt the smartest thing to do.

Hi J.R, again, I just wanted to tell you that I had a great time reading your blog at WWE.COM. I found it to be histerical, and considering today's sitcoms on T.V, good ol' J.R should be considered to have your own talk show (but not while Conan's on, as he's one of my personal favorites too). Keep up the great work.

Good article, Mr. Ross. Although, I must ask, were you drunk when you wrote it? I mean, discussing William Regal's "lovely head of hair"! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, KING!Have you been infusing your briskets with Southern Comfort?

Hey JR, I would like to see Regal as the balanced general manager, we've seen the good guy GM(ie Teddy Long) and Bad(ie Coach, Bishoff, etc.) I like to see Reagl be the guy who doesnt lean to either side, so far he seems to be doing that and I am enjoying it.

Hey JR, do you have any idea what we can expect from Regal in the future?
