Monday Madness...What to Believe? Order Today and Enjoy FREE SHIPPING

Posted in:

It's a beautiful, cold Monday here in Norman, Oklahoma and I want to thank every one for their birthday wishes yesterday. It was really cool getting emails from all over the world regarding my 58th birthday. It was a low key day for me and the Mrs. as we enjoyed the NFL, some great food, and a trip to the gym.

It's quite the day for many die hard wrestling fans with so much product on TV tonight. Ring of Honor, TNA, and WWE RAW will all be on the tube tonight not to mention the Fiesta Bowl and my personal fav, weather on the 8's.

I have looked at many Internet sites this morning with amazement at the conjecture, speculation, and rampant BS seems to be running wild regarding tonight with virtually every one in humongous hype mode.

Ironically, most that are writing about these "Monday Night Matters" are not on site in Dayton or Orlando, neither am I for the record, and are rolling with whatever communication that they might receive from "unnamed sources" and, seemingly, taking that info and spinning it in as provocative fashion as their creativity will allow.

If we think that today's Facebook, etc renderings are self serving and are blatant attempts to get one to tune in, just wait until tomorrow when the REAL spin kicks in along with endless editorials about what "really" happened on Monday night and what it "really" means for the long term future of "the business."

The drama has just begun. Wrestling websites no doubt will be expecting enhanced traffic over the next couple of days. I hope that they are successful in that and I hope that our site sees increased traffic too for the expressed purpose of selling you some products. Hey, I'm just being honest.

Much like the mainstream media, the wrestling INTERNET seemingly lives for the sensational, disturbing, or sad story as, like in our every day lives, good news travels slower than does its counterpart.

I occasionally write blogs that get "interpreted" about who or what I am REALLY talking about by those who think they know what I'm "really" thinking and who just might have a little too much Oliver Stone or Jesse Ventura in them for their own good.

That happened recently when I wrote about what I personally perceived as unfunny "humor" in wrestling that is not the sin of any singular entity but to a large part the genre in general. Being hip, cool, and sophisticated is great in theory but it all comes down to the specific creative material and MOST importantly the execution of said material.

Getting back to being more organic/natural on a wrestling show, discerning good vs. evil, allowing performers to be themselves more often than not, creating viable, understandable personal issues and providing more athleticism with increased bell to bell content are things that interest me as a fan. Those matters might not interest you which is fine, too. I've been a fan for 50 years and know what I like and am somewhat set in my ways in case you haven't noticed. That trait has been a blessing and a curse in my career for those of you keeping score at home.

Mr. McMahon vs. Bret Hart is a "personal issue" that has been cultivated off and on for 12, long years and seemingly has more of the fans attention that any Championship struggle or upcoming Title bout.

Indeed, today will spawn many hypotheses on what is going to go down tonight on the various programs involving men in tights. Believe what you choose and support what programming you choose. Many of you will watch everything you can. I have picture in picture and no clue how it works and I'm also interested in Boise State vs. TCU...shame on me.

If this day makes the wrestling fans happy then I'm damn sure happy because I'm as much of a fan as any one who will watch any of the seemingly endless hours of programming being provided to us tonight.

Hell, I'll even due my share of Monday Morning Quarterbacking after the fact right here on this very website. Got to get those traffic numbers up and sell some JR's products. Baby needs new shoes.

Obviously, I have no shame.

We got a rash of emails this weekend from folks who got our products for holiday gifts and they were a blast to read. The Hot BBQ Sauce and the Chipotle Ketchup have particularly received awesome reviews. The HOT BBQ isn't Tabasco hot but spicy hot and if I encourage you to try it. It is a totally different presentation that the Original.  Don't be afraid but if you scared then say you're scared. The Chipotle Ketchup is just one of the most amazing products out there and there is absolutely nothing like it in the stores anywhere. It goes great with everything that one usually uses ketchup on but also makes a great steak sauce and is amazing on burgers. I mix it in with my scrambled eggs while they are finishing the cooking process and it puts traditional eggs up to the main event level.

Read where Rock had no interest in ever guest hosting Raw which is contrary to what he told me in a recent email.  Since I've been on the IR, Rock has been one of the many guys to keep tabs on me and he indicated that he wanted to host Raw in the future but simply had to work out a date that he was available and that made sense.

Steve Austin called me on my birthday Sunday and he is in great spirits and enjoying his Texas ranch and some much needed R&R. I got a text from him during the afternoon saying that he was sitting in a deer stand relaxing.  Steve's much anticipated DVD entitled "Damaged"  will be released in March. Close friends of mine that have seen it liked it a great deal. I hope to see it soon myself. Mrs. JR and I will likely head down to the Smoking Skull Ranch in a week or 10 days.

I updated the Q&A section of the site again as of Monday January 4 and invite you to check it out and spin it any way that you choose. Many of the Q&A's are definitely "spin worthy."

We're using a new method of cooking our beef jerky which makes it much more tender yet it remains very flavorful. J.R.'s Beef Jerky is 97% FAT FREE and is efficient to ship. I love the fact that many of our fighting men and women have J.R.'s Beef Jerky in their back packs. Would any one have any desire to order a 12 pack of our Jerky?

I have not received the funeral information for Steve Williams but am still under the assumption that it will be this Friday near Denver. I am attending the services no matter when it is and will keep every one abreast of the details.

Finally, I can't make it more clearly to those that continue to email us about my "return to ringside."  I am under a contract extension with WWE through mid March and will be speaking to WWE officials between now and then about a new, long term contract. If that contract can be finalized I will then know what my next assignment will be and when I will return to work. Until those negotiations take place and something is firmly put into place, I am in a holding pattern. This is a blessing as it allows me to really focus and work hard on getting healthier and recharging my batteries.

Thanks for checking out our site and be sure and check back soon for any late breaking news and more info on Doc's celebration of life services at the end of the week.

We will now accept your orders and will ship them out ASAP.

Boomer Sooner!

Therefore, they quarreled with each other terribly, and links of london at last they broke up, and any of them got that beautiful bracelet, becauselinks of london the shop assistants didn’t knowwhich person to sell their good

Your desires in regards to what you wish to see happen in wrestling mirror my own. Personally, I feel that the company which is able to meet these factors most effectively is the one which can have the most sucess (and deservedly so), if only with hardcore wrestling fans who value wrestling and a good, sensible story above all else.

Also, I've always found it somewhat amusing/annoying (leaning more towards annoying) to see "fan" conspiracy theories in regards to wrestling. It was interesting to see that referenced somewhat in Evan Bourne's statements to Sheamus on Monday (unless I misunderstood something) and Carlito's past statements to John Cena. If these things were just coincidence then the "fans" certainly seem to think that they're not. I've found myself only very rarely visiting wrestling websites due to the rampant rumor mongering. I have decided to skip the post-Monday conjecture aside from reading your thoughts here.

Dear J.R,

Please stop going into such detail with regards to the chipotle ketchup. I can almost taste the stuff from here! Got the mouth watering! Hopefully I'll make it over to the restaurant on my next U.S. visit. If not, here's to international shipping somewhere along the line.

Happy belated birthday by the way,

Jamie, UK

Hey, JR. How are you getting along?. I am so glad that Steve Austin is getting him some Rand R... I am so glad he is enjoying his deer hunting on his ranch in Texas... You and the Mrs.Jr have a safe and fun trip to Smoking Skull Ranch... God Bless You... Take Care...

Holy Crap!  Ric Flair on TNA???

JR,

RE: 12 pack of jerky, I would be interested in occasionally ordering in bulk, depending on the price and shipping.  If you're charging $20 for a 6 pack and autographed picture, perhaps a 12 pack (no pic) for $30 plus tax?  Just one fan's feedback.

PS - one other jerky feedback: any possibility of making the packages re-sealable?  I don't often eat the whole pack at once when I open them.

Hey JR,

I Have some Questions for you What are the Odds of the WWE establishing there own territory system so talent could master there craft like in the good old days in the nwa I would like to see that happend down the road but with wwe's control.

Will Dr. Death Steve Williams ,Jake Roberts,Ted DiBiase, Brian Pillman,The Dynamite Kid and Owen Hart be in the ballot for this years wwe hall of fame?

No Disrespect J.R. im a Notre Dame Fan are the sooners due for a visit at south bend or Norman?

JR We All Miss you dearly please get well soon no disrespect to Michael Cole but we need this generations Gordon Solie in Ringside on monday nights

sincerly,

-Vic
