As I write this it is 3:30 a.m.,  I have answered many more of your emailed questions on the Q&A section of our website. I hope you will check them out. The on going Randy Savage questions aren't making the cut so I suggest you quit sending them in as I don't have any answers for you. Bottom line is I can't address Savage's issues with the WWE or visa versa because I don't know for sure what the issue or issues are. Let it go.

Also some idiot has emailed me about 25 times the same exact question about HBK stopping Taker's winning streak at WM25. First of all that match isn't booked but obviously it would be a helluva attraction. No, I don't think HBK would beat Taker and end the streak so please for the love of all that is good and Holy cease and desist this embarrassing and ridiculous line of questioning. I'm tapping and wasting valuable time deleting all these senseless emails that all say the exact same thing.  

Finally a clarification on the Smackdown taping schedule. We will tape one show in Bridgeport, one in Baltimore, one in Toronto, and two in the Continental Airlines arena in December.

In January, at this time doubleheaders are scheduled for January 13 in Omaha and on January 27 in Indianapolis.

At this time the only double header in February is set for February 17 in Portland, Oregon.

These dates are subject to change but that's the info as I have it at this time. 

I got a great email tonight from Bret Hart who underwent knee replacement therapy a day or so ago in Calgary. Bret is already up and using his walker and expects to go home soon as in the next day or two. The Hitman will likely head back to his home in Kona, Hawaii in January and has put in an order for some BBQ sauces and other products from our on line store. I take great pride that so many of the biggest names in wrestling love our products. 

I kidded Bret that now would be a good time for me to challenge him to a foot race and he suggested that we wait about a month for the contest. I would be happy to fly to Kona for a few days of "training" before such a monumental sporting event where I am sure I would suffer the agony of defeat.  Bret was very positive and upbeat but has to be exhausted after a grueling book tour.

Without any reservation, I strongly suggest that Bret's book would make a great holiday gift idea for any wrestling fan who really wants to read an honest account including one man's strong and well founded opinion of his personal experiences during an amazing career. This business could really use a few "Bret Hart's' in the locker room today. 

If Bret were back in his prime, one can only imagine how much $$$ he would be earning these days.  More than he made on the weekly run to Regina or Saskatoon I can assure you.

I spent a good part of the evening personally autographing many of the items some of you have ordered on line and hope to do more this week before leaving for K.C. on Saturday for the OU-Missouri football game. 

 

We're also doing another radio remote this Friday from 11-2 at our Norman store with 107.7 KRXO and their midday star Lee Roberts. Come by and say hello if you're in our neck of the woods.   WE are opening our new drive thru facility in Norman this week or next.

hi jr. just wondering is there anywhere for fans to suggest ideas for wwe dvds since its the fans that buy them? allthough that might not be a good idea as the computers would propably break down from randy savage requests. lol

also i was a recent question that someone asked about complete seasons of raw on dvd. a typical dvd like the recent austin or rock dvd costs 30 or 40 euros here in ireland , so i can only imagine what a complete season of raw would cost. an idea though would be for fans to vote for matches like the recent Intercontinental dvd release. say fans could vote for the best matches from 93 to 95 and so on.

also hope we get a tag team dvd similiar to the Intercontinental dvd.

also there would be tons of material for another wwe championship or intercontinental dvd. just leave out the matches that are on the dvds out of the vote the next time

any idea why the diva dvds stopped being made?

sorry about all the dvd questions but i love the wwe dvds and cant wait for new dvds to come out. i know you said before that some of the wwe dvd folks read these pages so heres hoping some of the dvd ideas might be taken on board

As great as an Undertaker vs. HBK match at WM 25 would be, if this years WM maybe the phenoms last big dance. Shouldn't his opponent be someone who is torch passing worthy? JR why has the WWE not aggressively try to sign a guy like Chris Daniels? the Fallen Angel persona and the ring ability makes him a fore front candidate to take Takers' place. Now not saying HBK is not torch worthy but a year after taking down the GREATEST champion ever, HBK vs. Taker shouldn't be a one night, one shot, wham bam thank you ma'am.

In addition Mr. Ross we have seen guys like Low Ki and Bryan Danielson do recent dark match work for you guys. Do you see them being signed in the near future? Heck even WWE could make some money off Danielson vs. Punk or Rey vs Ki, dream matches = money and money = ratings something wrestling and everyone needs at this time. Sorry this is my first post so I am rambling- so in conclusion JR what is your true optimistic view of the newer talent and who you truly think will be the first inductee into the HOF this year.

Hey JR, I'm not offended but I noticed you mentioned Regina and Saskatoon as places that are far less valuable to a WWE superstar than your current tour destinations. Honestly, I can't argue with that but this is my home and I have been a lifelong fan of your product. I dearly miss seeing live action and boy was I happy to see we were finally getting a show a few years back. Unfortunate roster circumstances (that I will respectfully not get into) resulted in that show being cancelled. I just want you and the WWE to know that Saskatchewan is a new region compared to those days and we will be a lot more lucrative for you if you come back. I'm not being too sensitive, just trying to point out that we should not be discounted as a profitable area to promote a show. Thanks for your time and have a great week!

Why would Shawn be the one to end the streak ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME LOL. Nothing against Shawn, I Love Him to death, he's been my favorite for awhile now but come on. Shawn did away with Ric, that's fine, I could see that coming but for Undertaker it would have to be someone like Kane and that's really the only person I can think of right now cause for someone to break Undertaker's streak, they would have to be someone REALLY, really, REALLY special and not just anyone and that's nothing against the present Superstars but I'm just sayin Lol.

I have been a fan of wrestling for years, hence my name here.  I was nicknamed this when I was just a wee one in school.  I have to admit that the direction that some of the story lines have been going lately are starting to upset a lot of fans, and myself.  I am answering to this blog about the story lines because of your mention about the Undertaker and HBK.  I do want to say that I was a bit upset about your statement that the line of questioning was embarrasing and ridiculous.  The Undertaker has been my favorite wrestler for years upon years, and I will be one to admit that it is about time for him to get out before he hurts himself seriously.  I have heard these rumors about some newer wrestlers could be the ones to take him out along with his streak at WM.  This is bull!  I along with others that I know (which include many many fans) would be very irate if this were to occur.  The Undertaker has cemented himself into the legacy of wrestling, and it would only be fitting that someone with as many years or as poplular as he is would end his streak and career.  The best one to do so is HBK.  Remember the first Hell In A Cell match.  OH MY!  That was a "Slobernocker", as you state, of a fight.  Wouldn't it be great to see them have another Hell In A Cell match at WM, this time to finish the Undertaker's streak and career?  I have to admit that this would put the most a**es in the seats as any match has ever put in the seats before.  I loved your blog, but just had to creat an account about this statement about HBK and Taker.  The WWE will regretably lose many fans if someone new were to take out the Undertaker's streak.  I hate Orton, but I wouldn't be mad if he were to end the streak, he has been around and proved himself.  HHH is another great choice for this.  Another Kane/Undertaker fued to end at WM would be another great choice.  You have to admit J.R. that Taker's time has got to be coming soon, I hate to admit it, but I will not be a wrestling fan if some no namer beats the Undertaker at WM.  

I want to end my comment in saying that I have enjoyed you for years.  You are the best commentator that wrestling has ever had.  These shows would not be the way they are today if it weren't for you.  Please stay in the business as long as you can, I would hate to see what will become of it if you leave.  Thanks so much for all the memories that you have created over the years.

Okay, my question is about the Undertaker, but it isn't about an HBK/Taker fight, which would be insanely awesome if their Royal Rumble fight is any indicator.

My question is whether or not Undertaker could be a possible inductee for the next Hall of Fame?  I know that Flair was inducted while he was still wrestling, so could it be possible?  That would be spectacular.

Oh, and will Shawn Micheals beat the Undertaker at WM 25?  *laughs* I couldn't resist.

First of all, I think it's great that you still do this. You answered some of my questions late last year and I thought that it was awesome that you did it, let alone take the time out to answer everybody elses. Been a wrestling fan for nearly 18 years (first event I saw was Wrestlemania 7 on tape delay here in Scotland and just took in my 10th live WWE event last month) and I always wanted something like this back then, so thank you sir.

I've noticed the HBK/'Taker thing cropping up in a few places, I seems to me that it boils down to an article Kevin Kelly wrote for a website. He basically mentioned a sort of "what if..." scenario and now a few people seem to be taking that as the gospel truth.
