Quick hits from Phoenix....the weather is perfect and one can expect the stadium roof to be open Sunday night. The stadium will look amazing.
Met some fans last night at dinner from the UK who were attending their 11th consecutive Wrestlemania. Wow...that's some dedicated fans. Bravo to them.
Lots of JR's BBQ customers here this week...or so they say. I thanked them all for their support of our brand.
Saw Undertaker first thing Thursday night upon arriving at our hotel. He looks amazing...lean yet massive. The big man is ready I can assure you. We spent several minutes catching up and hope to talk gain before Sunday. His words to me were motivating and much appreciated.
Caught up with Bret Hart at Starbucks here in the hotel this morning. Bret was very upbeat and was truly looking forward to his 'Mania match vs. Mr. McMadman. If Bret feels this good regarding Sunday, I'm looking forward to the conclusion of this 12+ year saga even more. For a guy that has gone through as much as Bret, he looks better than most guys half his age. I think we fans will really enjoy this legend's last bout come Sunday in the desert.
I received one of the most touching and inspirational text messages today from Shawn Michaels that I've ever received. I was truly moved by HBK's words as it is so obvious how important Sunday's, PPV match is to this future WWE HOF'er.
I truly expect 'magic' Sunday when two of the greatest performers in the history of the business do what they can do better than 99% of the men who ever laced up their boots since wrestlers have been performing for cash. We will all be a part of history Sundy night on PPV.
This is a much different experience for me this year at 'Mania. I'm having a great time visiting with so many people that I haven't seen in too long. I'm not missing spending hours and hours preparing to broadcast the event as I've done in year's past. I'm not sure how I will feel/react come 'kickoff' time but the WM26 experience is one that has been memorable and significant for so many reasons.
Indeed I'm ready for the next phase of my career and I wouldn't want to be any where else but here in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend. Being strictly a fan again is awesome.

To be brutally honest, I used to really dislike reading your thoughts in the past. To me they all sounded self serving and corporate.
But lately you are coming across as much more human (sorry if that sounds rude). It reminds me of when I left my profession after being stuck at the same company for 10 years, people told me I became much more likeable.

As for Taker/HBK I cant even imagine how they will top last year, but I am sure they will. I know it will be sad one way or the other, but I am sure the match will burn the house down on Sunday.
As much as Bret Hart deserves a happy ending, as much as Taker and Shawn Michaels deserve to show everybody how it's done one more time, as much as every former world's champion and rising star on the card deserves their time in the Wrestlemania spotlight, Jim Ross deserves to enjoy and appreciate this spectacle from a VIP seat with his loved ones and extended wrestling family without any pressure to perform at all. I hope you enjoy your Wrestlemania weekend to its fullest, JR!
I must say I am pretty excited for Wrestlemania this Sunday. A solid lineup from top to bottom. I am also equally excited about the Hall of Fame ceremonies. However, there is one candidate who everyone seems to forget about year after year, and frankly I think it's a crime. This particular person was a trailblazer in this industry. Think about this for a second. Nobody before her and probably nobody since has called out sick for her son to a professional wrestling organization. That's right if you have not guessed by now, its is high time the WWE Hall of Fame recognizes the contributions of Judy Bagwell!!!!!!!! Lets not forget she is a former WCW Tag team title holder. Make things right and induct Judy!!!!!!! enjoy the show. And remember this, ONLY when Judy finally gets inducted thats when Jr you will honestly be able to say " It's what the whole world is watching"
