As you read this, I am in Miami, Florida where I anxiously await Thursday night’s Oklahoma vs. Florida National Championship game from Joe Robbie Stadium to be televised on Fox. Nonetheless this week’s Friday Night Smackdown features SD General manager Vickie Guerrero looking to erase the embarrassment of last week that she experienced at the hands of HHH. The vindictive G.M. is forcing The Game to wrestle three times in three, very challenging bouts against opponents not yet advertised.
A Tables Match, Handicap Match, and a Last Man Standing Match are all on tap for the Cerebral Assassin come Friday night.
There is an established adage in the WWE and that is “don’t cross the boss” and if any one should know that better than anyone it would be the former 12 time WWE Champion. Expect Mrs. Edge the throw the “kitchen sink” at the man I think might well win the Rumble Match IF he is still able to compete in it.
After last week’s impromptu, in ring confrontation, The Undertaker faces the United States Champion Shelton Benjamin Friday night on TV in a bout that will provide a platform for the Gold Standard to make his case for being the man who will win the Rumble, according to Benjamin himself. Benjamin has the skill set to give the Undertaker problems but beating the future WWE Hall of Famer is never easy for any one as the Deadman’s 16-0 record at Wrestlemania would indicate.
If Shelton Benjamin, arguably the best pure athlete in the WWE, truly wants to hunt with the really big dogs on an on going, regular basis this is his chance.
There has certainly been an ugly metamorphous as it relates to the personality of Michelle McCool since she lost the Divas Title to Maryse. Will we see yet another side of McCool this week? Something tells me that the worst is yet to come for adversaries of the self proclaimed, “Wronged” Ms. McCool.
It just feels like there are some interesting days ahead for the Smackdown Divas. Or perhaps I should say that it feels like business is about to pick up with the ladies of Friday night.

I like no ,I love the way smackdown looks know. Look at the title picture. Its not the normal title picture, WWE has really put the right foot forward & changed the way it operates. Its all young talent, there is no 3H, Taker & it looks great. Its very inspring to see. I would love to see Jeff & Shelton for the WWE title. I like the fact that sheltonis gettin a push and put in a short program with the Deadman. Undertaker will put over all kinds of talent for the better of the buisness. But for future refrence we dont need to see 3 matches of 3H, thats 2much. that could have ben a good time to work on a way for a new star for the future. 3H is gettin Old, We need start building new talent for the future. On a Raw Note: why is it that Cryme Tyme keeps gettin the short end of the stick when it comes to the Tag Titles. Doesnt show fairness to the Black Community. They deserve it, they are over with the crowd. CM Punk IC Title come on Give some one else the push. The tourney was all former heavyweight champs and IC champs. Would have been better for people who have never had a title shot.
Gotta love that sweet taste of Gator Bait early in the morning. It’s so exquisite.

Anyway, love your commentary and blogs. You’re probably the best commentator of all time (even if you are a Sooner fan).

JR don't you think its time we Sooner fans faced facts. Bob Stoops has lost five of our last six bowl games.
Got beat by Florida this year in the title game
Got beat by West Virginia in the '08 Fiesta
Got beat by Boise St. in the '07 Fiesta
Got beat by USC in the '05 Rose Bowl
Got beat by LSU in the '04 Sugar Bowl
Bob Stoops only bowl victory in recent years was in a minor bowl, the Holiday Bowl in '05.
Doesn't it seem like we might need to face it that Stoops can't win the big one? He gets us to the big bowl games but he can't win them anymore.
Maybe it is time you and some of the other Sooner boosters tell Coach Stoops he ought to think about the Broncos job or one of the other NFL openings. At some point it hurts the school's image and morale if we keep getting our asses kicked in the big games.
Coach Stoops is a terrific coach but he's no Barry Switzer or Bud Wilkinson. Those guys won the biggest games on the biggest stage. We got beat by the best teams we played this year. Sooner fans shouldn't settle for second best year in and year out. We need a coach who gets our hand raised in the main event!
Hi, this is peter. Jr is one of the great man in the entire wwe history. As he has in commentary in raw for more than 10 years and now to smack down. No one can beat in commentary.

I hate the out come of the game wasn't different. But I didn't think either team brought their "A" game to play. I still believe that OU has one of the best teams out there when it plays at the top of its game plan so to speak.
I hope you and the MISS had a great time at the game and have a safe trip home.
