Sitting in LaGuardia anxious to get back to the friendly confines of Oklahoma and 77 degree weather.
Tazz & I worked late into the nite Wednesday working on Friday Night Smackdown. Looks like a solid final broadcast prior Sunday's Royal Rumble on PPV.
Oops....just saw two older New Yawker ladies almost throw down over the order of boarding for my AA flight to DFW. One was from Long Island (highly obnoxious and seeming privileged) while the other woman hailed from Brooklyn. My $$ was on the Brooklyn.
There is a special feature Friday night in Smackdown on the feature film "The Wrestler." I hope to see this film before I leave Saturday evening for Detroit.
It's amazing the amount of people within the biz read these blogs and how they interpret what they read and then how and who they share this info. Now I remember why I didn't become a junior high teacher.
Mr. McMahon got pretty banged up from being punted by Randy Orton Monday night. Word has it the Chairman may have sustained a concussion (unconfirmed) but he did receive a cut either on or above his ear from RKO's boot laces. Ouch.
No one seems to know who will be broadcasting the new WGN Superstars of Wrestling show which airs, I think, after WM25. From what I can tell, and trust me this could change, the WGN bouts will be 1st run and would likely be taped on Mondays before Raw when Raw is in the eastern and central time zones.
ECW and Smackdown would then return to their Tuesday partnership. Thank God the days of the Smackdown doubleheaders are nearing an end. They are as challenging as watching the Mets die a natural death every fall. Again, this info is subject to change. Not sure of the announce talent, either, but I would LOVE to hear more of Grisham & Striker.
Seems like most TV wrestling shows are striving to what is perceived to be a balance between wrestling and "entertainment." Silly me, I thought wrestling was entertainment. Short wrestling matches and lots of "cute" talk is a recipe for failure in my estimation. But then again I could be wrong.

tag on youtube - "Horny Old JR"
never before used Mid South downtime television footage of you:

always check the dice,
bastard john
(Rolling eyes) Here I thought WWE Superstars might actually originate from its own arena instead of being taped before a RAW.
This sucks.
"The Wrestler" in Detroit
If JR has some extra time in Detroit, "The Wrestler" is being exclusively screened at Birmingham Theater 8. It's just a short 20 mile (or 30 minute) drive from Joe Louis Arena. The address is:
211 S. Old Woodward Avenue
Birmingham, Michigan 48009
Randy is one of my top 3 favorite wrestlers. Not only is he deadly and lethal in the ring but this guy's ring attire is lethal too- ha ha I laughed in my head at that one
The Mets dying a natural death? How about the Sooners choking away yet ANOTHER bowl game? I hope you are forced to urinate in your hat next time you broadcast double Smackdowns
haha I can't complain with vince getting punted (LOL)
Jr - please write a review for "the wrestler" I thought it was an awesome movie and I'm not ashamed to say that I cried at the end! (just don't tell any of my buddies...)
I'd love to know what JR thinks! (you may have better insight than the majority of us!)
:)
Until next time

Hi JR I have noticed in the time since WWE was WWF the matches are getting fewer each season, What happened to Wrestling, i Can get entertained watching tv with my grand kids, what I would really like to see is more wrestling. What ever happened to the scientific wrestlers, they are few and far between, Dusty Rhodes was a good brawler and entertaining, but Rick Flair was a wrestler, Kirt Angle was once a wrestler and a good one, he proved that in the olympics. Seeing Vince McMann get kicked in the head by Randy Orton was a bit of a surprise, but he stoped him from firing him for the moment any way. I think Randy Orton like Chris Jerico has heard so much hipe about them selves they are believing they are RAW, as for me I think they should be moved to ECW and try to make it there, I am not a Randy Orton fan, I liked Cowboy Bob Orton, but in real life he was not a coward as is his son. Its time to change his name to AWOL Orton.
