Start ShoppingBusy week in Oklahoma for yours truly. We started at 6 a.m. Thursday morning doing OKC TV and radio appearances promoting the Friday Night Smackdown move to MyNetworkTV on Friday October 3. Friday I will spend the day in Tulsa doing the same. These appearances always give the dirt mongers plenty of cannon fodder to misquote what they thought they heard to selected members of the wrestling internet.
As reported here earlier in the week, our website has had one of our bigger sales weeks since Monday's Raw when Charlie Haas continued his spoofing ways this time targeting yours truly. Thanks Charlie and congrats on the new baby girl. Charlie really "out punted his coverage" when he married the lovely Jackie Gayda.
For the record, I never told anyone I attended OU but I did attend Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma I am proud to say. My wife purchased the 1974 Oklahoma National Championship ring that I often wear for a Christmas gift and I consider it one of the most thoughtful and valued gifts I have ever received. If the cute remarks about the ring had been left out of the segment, it would have been perfect but, alas, one can't grieve forever. Poor me.
BTW these days I am proudly wearing my 2007 WWE Hall of Fame ring that we received a couple of weeks ago.
There are several wrestling websites that I enjoy visiting when time permits but some seem to be trying to out TMZ, TMZ. Reporting that Kurt Angle had filed for divorce...no wait...stop the presses...it was Karen Angle who filed for divorce...allegedly...sources say. Is this information that wrestling fans truly need to know? Is this news? Is it any of our business. I hope this rumor isn't true.
Sometimes one can sense when something special may be evolving and that is the case for me when I watch Vladimir Kozlov in the ring these days. Kozlov does some of the subtle things very well and is a well conditioned, bad ass. Kozlov has the chance to "break through" it seems to me. The Moscow Mauler is far from a polished product but he certainly has an upside.
If young wrestles like Ryan Braddock and Jack Swagger (nice name) remain aggressive and escalate their physicality as time goes on, both young men have a good chance of achieving success in the WWE. Working hard, smart and physical cures many ills in the ring such as inexperience.
Yours truly has also been enjoying the development of Evan Bourne however in my view Bourne is more than side kick material. Bourne needs to be a member of Friday Night Smackdown which is as you know BROTHER the WWE's #1 program.
My broadcast partner on FNSD, Tazz, is simply an angry man. He's like the ornery, family friend from another world, Long Island, that I never knew I had. However, I think this Friday night's Smackdown Broadcast was our best yet.
Carlito wears orange and black ring attire this Friday night and guess who (Human Suplex Machine) isn't happy about it?
Chris Jericho is picking up where Edge left off prior to Summerslam and Raw is a better show for it. I shutter to think where Raw would be today without HBK and the World's Heavyweight Champion. And Santino's unibrow.
Speaking of Edge, how is hell these days? Hurry back.
I am attacking a Seattle Slew of Q&A's this weekend prior to leaving for Columbus, Ohio on Sunday morning. Stay tuned for that and thanks for all your support and business. Please keep us in mind for your holiday gift giving needs. I approve this message.

Yeah to bad there aren't any books on how to save your marriage that actually work considering how many people get divorced these days why bother even thinking about marriage at this point.
Is the Jeff Hardy airport incident as big as everyone is making it out to be???
Great site JR and thanks for your time and effort with the Q&A.
Give Creative a big pat on the back and tell them to keep up the good work. Jericho is golden at the moment, way better than Edge was months ago.
There are a lot of exciting guys to watch on all 3 brands. R-Truth is getting a chance to make his gimmick work in WWE. Koslov has been given the proper amount of time to build a mystique and it is great.
Evan Bourne, the former Sydal, has what it takes. I love seeing him try something different in every match, even if it's small and unnoticeable to the casual viewer. Are the reigns free on some superstars? Seems to me Bourne and Jericho are getting away with having more creative flair to their matches.
Glamarella, and the Kane/Mysterio angle have breathed new life into everyone involved in these storylines.
I have to say though, Paul Birchall appears to be overlooked. For being a "Ripper", large man and having a Euro style, he's had short feuds and lost decisevely to Kennedy, Kofi and now Jamie Noble. Get this guy going and let's see what he can do!
JR, I have always enjoyed your commentary. You add entertainment value and credibility to the matches. I was disappointed with Ric Flair's statements about Troy Martin 's employment (Shane Douglas). I like y2J's new gear, but I m

I really enjoy the push of the new youngsters coming in the business of late but I really hope that they continue with Cryme Tyme and Rhodes/Dibiase fued going on, they are the top 2 tag teams on Monday night and I think the fans would really enjoy that, it's time to put the straps on Cryme Tyme as well. I guess Unibrow is another week closer on the Honk-o-meter. Any recent updates as to to when we can expect to see John Cena return? Thanks.
One thing I still don't like about Kozlov is that he still doesn't have a definitive finishing maneuver... the reverse/inverted DDT isn't necessarily a good finisher, even if it is for a man like Kozlov.. the head butt, well, I find it lame.. he needs, a nice little finishing maneuver.. maybe we'll get to see one if, apparently, he continues his program with Jeff Hardy.. would be an interesting match, certainly, Jeff vs. Kozlov..
Evan Bourne is great with his high flying techniques, but can he work a normal match? Or will he just turn into another, I don't know, Jeff Hardy or RVD, with lots of flashy offense.?
JR! I just read that Jeff Hardy did 20 back flip's in a row while drinking 30 bottles of whiskey in an airport terminal the other day!! Ha, these "reports" make for a good laugh after a long day at work. These people are priceless (sorry Ted jr).
I sure do hope the Angle's problems are just rumor as well and its no ones business i hate it when idiots glamerize the downfall of others. Kozlov im sure you have seen the resemblence of him and Killer Kowalski in his prime build wise as well as ring demeanor beat down a body part and get it done type of style which may show my age but, i miss that kind of solid wrestling, especialyl when tage teams did it so well. Very nice to see the tag titles on both brands being seen ultilized a little better. I wish there was more of it myself how can you see a person a a great singles wrestler from a tv perspective if and when they started out as a tag wrestler and you rarely seen them on tv at all? Example , HBK was a great tag team wrestler because he was put out there to be seen along with Bret Hart and became great superstars in their own right as singles greats. A question for you JR, If you were stranded on a island and could only have one food what would it be?Cannot wait to see the King in lima in oct , he certainly I entertaining on tv.
JR,
I'm looking forward to the day when everyone realize that "Unibrow is Raw".
BTW: Jim Haas can try but he can never full capture the magic that is Good Ol' JR!
