UFC170, @RondaRousey Challenged, @HulkHogan, ROH/New Japan, Updated Ticket info on RINGSIDE: An Evening w/ Jim Ross

Beautiful 70 degree day in Norman, Oklahoma! Thanks for stopping by for a quick visit. We're burning some valuable daylight.....

UFC 170 tonight on PPV. I'm watching for sure. Big @RondaRousey fan and anxious to see how Daniel Cromier does at 205. Seems like a show that should have more finishes and fewer decisions.

Rousey winning isn't a gimme over silver medalist Sarah McMann and I can't see this one ending in the first round.

Always interested to see if UFC is going add some new wrinkles to their TV production as it feels as if they have settled into a predictable pattern likely because they are producing SO much television.

#UFC170 has a shot at being a 'sleeper' hit on PPV Saturday night.

The VIP tickets for next Saturday March 1 RINGSIDE: An Evening with Jim Ross are sold out for the 8 pm show and there are only about a dozen left for the early show at the Gramercy Theater. Tickets are still available nonetheless for both shows at http://www.ticketmaster.com. Hope to see you in NYC on Saturday March 1.

We might have some 'surprise' guests pay us a visit at one of both of the NYC shows.

Did an interview for the online version of Fortune Magazine Friday talking about the WWE Network.  It will be available soon I'm told and I will tweet it out from @JRsBBQ.

Great PR Friday night for DDP on ABC's Shark Tank. No deal made but a helluva segment on prime time, national TV for the hardworking Diamond Dallas Page...if that is his real name. DDP Yoga is magic. DDP will be guesting soon on the Ross Report Podcast as will Jake Roberts.

You can download the first Ross Report at podcastone.com and ITunes. We jumped out at #1 in several countries of which we are grateful and appreciate everyone's support.

Steve Austin part two is on deck for this coming Wednesday. I think that part 2 is better than part one.

Interested in the New Japan relationship with ROH. 'Curious' may be a more accurate description. Hope the joint effort works well for all involved.

Yes, I'm signing up for the WWE Network on Monday w/o question.

As I wrote in this space many, many weeks ago, it's a smart move by WWE to come to an arrangement with @HulkHogan for WM30 and beyond, I assume. I'm unaware of any details but I see Hulk as a great PR vehicle for the WWE Network and to appear a selected events. I do not see Hogan needing to wrestle to add value to WWE efforts.

http://www.wweshop.com has some amazing specials right now on JR's line of products that I hope you will check out. They will have some incredible offers during the Elimination Chamber weekend.

Tickets selling well for our NOLA show on Thursday April 3 at the House of Blues in the French Quarter. Ticketmaster or @HOBNOLA box office has your tickets. Two shows....6:30 and 9:30 pm. Great way to kick off the WM30 weekend.

Q&A's updated elsewhere on the site. Sic 'em!

I really enjoyed the first episode of "The Ross Report" on PodcastOne this past Wednesday. Austin has been on so many different Podcasts lately, and along with his own show, we have been getting a heaping helping of Stone Cold as of late. Not that it's a bad thing by any means, but a lot of the questions that he has been asked have gotten somewhat repetative. But that wasn't the case with "The Ross Report" at all. You asked him a lot of different questions than he has been answering lately. Plus you got him to tell some new stories that were very interesting. So I just wanted to congratulate you on what I thought was a very good Podcast, and I wish you luck going forward. Keep up the great work JR!
