Wild Samoans.. The Original Sheik.. Dick Beyer.. Bad News Allen.. Warrior in Hall of Fame.. Scott Hall.. Lesnar.. Butch Reed.. “

I am happy for the Wild Samoans and for The Original Sheik going into the WWE Hall of Fame. All three are legends and made significant and unique contributions to the wrestling business. The Samoans were an awesome duo I assure you. I was around them a great deal in Mid South Wrestling. No fans wanted to cross Afa or Sika. Eddie Farhat, The Original Sheik was as much a part of the Detroit landscape as the Tigers’ Al Kaline and Chuck Dailey’s Detroit Piston Bad Boys. These pioneers deserve their accolades without question. I am a big believer than we cannot navigate the future without understanding the past. These men were a huge part of the businesses past. Perhaps I have been remiss not discussing the death of Bad News Allan of a week or so ago. I never knew this man, to be able to accurately depict him as seen through my eyes. I may have met him once or twice and don’t remember much about him other than he seemed quiet and everyone knew that he was a bad ass. I know the Harts always seem to speak highly of “Bad News”, which was good enough for me. My condolences certainly go out to his family and friends. I don’t like B.S.’ing my way through your questions and Bad News was not a gentleman that I personally had many interactions with. For the record, the campus of MIT and Cambridge, Mass is really cool. I will have more on my stay here soon. Now, may I suggest you now call me “Professor J.R.” As John Wayne would say, we are burning daylight so let’s get right to your comments… Have I met Dick Beyer? Absolutely. Dick was The Masked Destroyer among other handles and was an awesome in ring talent. Dick is a Syracuse grad who made himself famous in Japan. Dick still has amazing recall of wrestling history and has always been known as a high character, class act who has always represented the business with dignity and professionalism. I loved watching Dick wrestle in his prime on video tape. Will the Ultimate Warrior ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? Beats me. Not my call, for the record again. Would Warrior even accept if called? Does Warrior deserve the nod? Probably. I get asked about Brock Lesnar all the time. Jerry Brisco worked hard on recruiting Brock out of the University of Minnesota and I signed him to a WWE contract. Lesnar appeared to be a natural. Physically there was no doubt. But Brock either burned out with all the travel or he simply wasn’t a fan of the genre. Nonetheless, if Lesnar were in the WWE today he could be making HUGE money, but only if his heart was in it. I wish things had worked out differently with Brock, as none of us are getting any younger and for a wrestler, one’s younger years are generally, not always but generally, the best. I call it a lost opportunity for Lesnar and the business. Please do not believe every word written on every wrestling website. Whoever wrote that The Undertaker was retiring in the summer of 2008 is either making it up or is really, really gullible. I communicate with Taker frequently and that subject has never been discussed. Unless injuries take their toll, Taker will be around in at least a part time role for years to come. Someone wrote that it seems I don’t like wrestling anymore. Where in the Blue Hell did that one come from? If I did not like wrestling I would not be traveling 51 weeks a year and busting my ample, Oklahoma backside every Monday night on Raw! I am simply not doing this because I “need the money”, even though the money is nice. I love my job, I am a wrestling fan at heart and always will be, and the day I stop working in wrestling is the day you will know I am burned out. However, don’t hold your breath on that one. We get lots of Scott Hall questions and I have not heard if Scott ever wants to wrestle a full time schedule again, but it is “highly unlikely”. He has a smart wrestling mind though. Do I mind college football being played at NFL Stadiums? Not really as long as it is a special game and it happens just on occasion. We OU fans are used to neutral sites, as we play Texas every October in Dallas in the old, rundown Cotton Bowl. It is one helluva weekend though! The Horseman DVD is getting a great deal of attention. I would submit to those worrying about 2 discs vs. 3 to not complain until you have actually seen the DVD. Plus, if this one sells, you know a sequel is forthcoming. There is too much good material about the Horsemen to get it all on one release anyway. Yes, in the future all WWE PPV’s will feature all three brands. My question is, does that include all three announce teams plus the vaunted Spanish announce team that works every PPV (and does a great job by the way)? Perhaps my travel just increased and I am just not aware of it yet. Hooray. In my opinion, Vince McMahon did not put the AWA out of business. The AWA put the AWA out of business. The demise of the wrestling territories which were largely owned by former wrestlers with little business savvy outside their own world was because these former wrestlers with strong egos refused to move into the future as far as marketing, long term contracts for the wrestlers, promotion of live events, TV production, etc. Did McMahon help them out the door? Yes, in some cases he did. However so many local promotions could have stayed in business if they had looked in the mirror more often, instead of blaming others for their downfall. The WWE never put the UWF out of business because we stayed ahead of the curve and developed strong promotional partners, strong relationships with our TV affiliates, and were willing to compete using modern technology. McMahon may not be an angel to some people, but bitter old wrestling promoters or fans of those promotions need to peel the onion back one more layer to see what really happened and why so many promotions went belly up. They also quit developing new stars. Does that ring a bell? I have heard some rumblings of a tag team battle royal at Wrestlemania, but nothing official. It would not surprise me if that match, if it happens, was a Wrestlemania DVD extra. I am not a huge fan of battle royals in general, but that’s just me. Did Butch Reed ever wrestle in the WWE? Oh, Hell Yeah! Butch went from Watts’ territory if I am not mistaken, to the WWE. Butch was a great opponent for JYD and could cut a promo as well as any one. Butch was also a tough human being and I saw him in a backstage fist fight with Nord the Barbarian many moons ago. Let’s say for the sake of argument the fight was a “draw” and leave it at that. The fight started in OKC in the afternoon and Bill Watts made the two of them finish the fight that night in Tulsa to get it “out of their system”. Bruce Reed was an All American linebacker in Junior College at Northeast Oklahoma A&M for the Golden Norsemen. The Doghouse… That must be today’s favorite term, who’s in the doghouse? Is Randy Orton in the doghouse? Is Melina in the doghouse? Here’s how I largely perceive that worn out question. If someone is really in the “doghouse” you won’t be seeing them on TV and they damn sure would not be booked at Wrestlemania. Does it matter who resides in the “WWE Doghouse” or is it simply the need to know more “dirt”? People are human and at times we all make mistakes and spend a night or two in the doghouse whether it be at work or at home. I have a suite named after me in “the doghouse”. Plus, there are jealous wrestlers who can’t stand others success. That particular deadly sin is universal and not a wrestling exclusive. Plus some people can be immature children at times, which is also not exclusive to ‘rasslin. Bruiser Brody was a man who talked me out of quitting the business in the early to mid 70’s because I was traveling 2,000 miles a week in my own vehicle, paying all my own road expenses, trying to support a family and earning approximately $280-$360 per week with zero benefits such as insurance or 401K refereeing and getting physically destroyed in the wild Mid South on a nightly basis. Brody told me that I had a mind for the business and to never give up my dream. I didn’t and things seem to have worked out just fine. Brody was just as intelligent as he was intimidating and talented. Read anything about this man you can get your hands on especially the book his widow Barbara co-wrote. Will there ever be a Barry Windham DVD? AGAIN, I don’t know. If there is a market for one I am sure that WWE corporate will consider it. That stuff happens in Connecticut – and I am down here in Oklahoma. So Chris Masters reminds some of you of Lex Luger. Wow, you must not have a lofty opinion of Masters. Nonetheless, I will say that Kennedy reminds me of Stunning Steve Austin. I perceive that to be a good thing. My favorite Sting moment? There were lots of them in the WCW days but his 45 minute match at Clash #1 is memorable and “made” Sting a star thanks to Ric Flair. Sting and Vader did some great stuff too. I heard the “rumblings” that if HBK was in attendance last year in Chicago that Bret Hart would not participate at his own Hall of Fame induction ceremony. I am not sure how true that is, but for the sake of argument if it was true, I find it some what silly. I am personally over 1997’s Survivor Series in Montreal, and think it would be healthy for all involved to “let it go”. Plus, for a superstar, going into the Hall of Fame it is as much about the individual’s family and fans as anything. That’s why I truly regret Bruno Sammartino refusing to be inducted. And by the way, HBK was in the audience last year and Bret did a magnificent job with his speech. Billy Kidman – Yes, I brought him to the WWE. Will he ever return is a question for WWE talent relations. I do feel badly about his divorce from Torrie Wilson however. They always seemed like a nice couple to me. Billy is also a talented wrestler. I am not aware that I will be making any appearances at Wrestlemania as I have not been assigned any as of this writing. Do you think I am in the “Doghouse”? I love meeting with the fans so hopefully I will be added as a “token selection” to one of the AXXESS events. I am not aware of how many title runs Flair has had, but it is north of 16 that is for sure and maybe close to 20. Some results have never made the record books. Ric seems happy with the #16 so if he is happy with that number, so am I. I am still not ready to write my autobiography, but there seems to be interest from some publishers. I may wait until my time on Raw has passed, which I hope will be years from now before I tell my story of a fan’s journey from office gopher to ring crew member to referee to announcer to front office executive and all the stops in between. Yes, I was a high school and college sports official for almost 20 years and officiated 14 State Championship games in three different sports, football, basketball, and baseball. I loved those days. Thanks for checking us out and keep your comments coming. I also appreciate all your business as selling products from time to time is how we keep our site alive, so your business is definitely appreciated. Another blog is coming soon! J.R.

Well I can say for certain you are a very nice man. I meet you back stage at jugement day in Phoenix Arizona. I was a Guest of Eric Bishoff who I think very highly of even though other would argue with that. They obiously do not know him personally. The guys where pleasent to me and chatted with me for as long as they could. I was disappointed in Taz I wanted to met him so bad I tried to introduce my self to him and he just walked past me. I am not easly missed I stand 6 2' tall and weight 260 lbs. and wll Tattooed up as much as the undertaker. Matt Hardy just said not to mind him he was in a bad mood. All due respect if Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy and ohnny Nitro could talk a minute to talk to a fan wht could he not say hi at least. Even Vince, Shane and Hunter where very nice when they came to the Harley shop I use to work at and rented bikes for the weekend to ride. You have always been and inspriration to me. I hope I have not bored you to much. Good luck and I will se youu July 31 hopfully when everyone comes back to Phoenix. John Stapleton Chandler Harley-Davidson Chandler Arizona

What is next for Masters now that the Masterlock is broken? And since other seem to ask, what is everyone's problem with Lex Luger? If the reason is the supposedly MySpace account, that was a fake account.

Congradulations JR on being inducted into the 2007 WWE HALL OF FAME. If anyone is more deserving of this honor then you then I would like to meet him because after the career that you lead and the ground you broke as a broadcaster is truly worthy of being in the Hallowed Halls of the WWE. I always knew that judging by my size that I was never going to become the next Triple H or Ric Flair but I always thought that I could possibly be the next JR. You are without a doubt number one in all the fans eyes standing neck and neck with Gordon Solie or Gorilla Monsoon. In my eyes number the number one broadcaster in this business is big enough for 3 guys. Enjoy this weekend because you've earned it. Congradulations once again from Derek Gallegos Santa Fe, NM

When I hear talk about Lex Luger, the comments are never good. Could you please give us some inside reasons why he's not one of the industry's favorite person? What will be done with khali? It seems like its nothing for him to do. Theres a few guys that are not good on the mic(kahli, Lashly,Benjamin, RVD),so why don't those guys get hooked up with a manager to do the talking?Since ECW was brought back, is there any talks about bringing back the WCW brand?

I may be assuming, but on one of your last posts it sounded like you didn't want The Rock to come back if he did, which is unlikely. Just curious as to your reasoning for that comment, once again I may be assuming.

Hey JR, can you update us on William Regal and his absence from Smackdown? He was recently gaining momentum, featuring regularly and providing solid and entertaining matches, especially in the tag team scene with Dave Taylor and now both have done a vanishing act. Thanks

Hey JR, Well im a HUGE Lita fan and im sad to have seen her leave! Womens wrestling isnt even wrestling anymore and i understand that thats the new direction for WWE. But i dont get why they didnt have Lita wrestle more often when she was with Edge. I think that was an amazing storyline and they couldve had way more tag team matches if she wrestled more. For being a top diva, how come the last year and a half, for the most part she became a valet?? And of course Trish will make the hall of fame one day, but do you think Lita will?

i hear all the internet rumors that batista is being compared to the ultimate warrior as far as attitude goes! do you have any insight

Is there any truth to the rumors of a SummerSlam and Survivor Series DVD anthology sets being released this year or next year?

You're the best JR. I can't wait to buy some more of that BBQ sauce.

oh i meant this upcoming monday night raw 3/26/07 epsiode oh and I think micheal cole, you , and jerry lawler will be doing the paperviews because. these are just rumors but somebody said vince really wants jbl to get back in the ring, but then again i left joey styles and so it could be a 5 men team something to my knowledge has never been done before. oh if ecw stays afloat i see brad armstrong and todd grisham replacing tazz and joey styles but thats just a guess.

Hey j.r can you please tell me why shatner and boggs are inducting two of the all time greats of wrestling mr perfect, and jerry the king lawler oh congrats on being inducted monday on raw .

I was just wondering if there was any talks of bringing back Bill Goldberg and Chris Jericho... That and if Teddy Hart will be offered a WWE contract...

Hey Professor J.R! Awesome blog of course! I know you don't have anything to do with talent relations anymore, or ECW for that matter, but I heard Rob Van Dam's contract is expiring this summer. In my opinion Rob could be a "People's Champion", everyone loves him, and I thought it was amazingly historical having Rob hold the WWE and ECW championships at the same time. I think he could be a main eventer for years and have great classics with Cena, HBK, HHH, Taker, ect. Do you know if the WWE is pursuing him, or is interested in pursuing him?

Jim, what is the deal with the Hebners and their tell all book about the WWE and McMahon's? was it a pity that their relationship with the WWE ended on a sour note? I imagine there was disappointment with them in what they did concerning the merchandise but I am sure there was plenty of regret about the whole situation, whats your take?

JR, I have to say WWE 24/7, the greatest thing WWE has developed in years. The matches I've seen, the history, is just amazing. Awhile ago I had the privelage of seeing an AWA card circa 1970. I saw an interview with the Vachon Brothers on that. WHAT THE HELL DID THEY SAY???? Voices like 10 miles of heavy gravel road with thick French-Canadian accents. Mad Dog made The Ultimate Warrior sound like Arn Anderson! Kamala was more legible! Question: What do you think are the chances of getting Don Owens Pacific Northwest Wrestling onto The Territories? If any regional promotion deserves recognition it's Owens and the PNW.

Love your blogs J.R. It's great that you take the time to respond to fans. Maybe it's just me, but the way Lashley is getting pushed is almost the same way Cena was pushed when he was in a program with Umaga, and it is just not right. I mean I have had the chance to meet him in person and he is a great human being, but no one should destroy top teir guys like he has since he won the ECW title. In my humble opinion the matches he has been having latley are not interesting at all because of the way he is being booked. I mean it's wrestling 101, why would you want to watch a predetermined match if both guys are not portrayed as equals. Everytime he has a match I imediatley know the outcome: Lashley is going to destroy whoever he is facing. I thought the 1980's squash matches where done with. What do you think?

Hey JR, great blog as always. I was wondering if you could comment on some of the future talents being groomed in OVW and DSW. I would also love it if you could give us an update on the signing of Teddy Hart to a WWE contract. Thanks!

Hey J.R I want to let you know that you and the King have been doing a fantastic job! Right next to you & King I would put Gorrila Monsoon and the Brain as my favorite commentary team! Ok so maybe its a tie! Thanks and I hope you write a book someday!

BBQ in Toronto can be hard to find, but when next you find yourself in my little town, and you've got yourself a hankering for some good BBQ check out Phil's at college and ossington. It may be a little out of the area where you would normally go, but its well worth the 20 minute drive from the ACC. I've got a question for ya too, JR: What do you think of Hacksaw Jim Duggan? When I was a kid in the early 80s, I loved the guy. To me he was bigger than Hogan. As I grew up (and Hacksaw got older) my opinion of the guy fell. Not any more. I've been watching all that I can find of Hacksaw in his hey-day and the guy was a pop machine. Do you think we could ever see a Hacksaw DVD? Having seen him in 'shoot' interviews he seems like he'd be great in that capacity. Hope you can get around to answering this, or at the very least reading it; it would be a shame if you didn't know about Phil's. M Mars

Do you think there is a chance we will ever see Gunner Scott, Sean O'Haire, The Dudleys, Kurt Angle, or Muhammad Hassan in WWE again? Also if you could recruit a few wrestlers from TNA who would be some of the talent you would chose? thanks Ryan~

Hey J.R. Got my Jerky the other day. I like the original and the chipotle, but so far, my favorite is the peppered. It's got the right amount of pepper taste without overwhelming the rest of the taste. I've got the Slobberknocker, too. We'll give it a try later on...

Hey there J.R., Though I never really knew or met Bad News Allan, as a regular at Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling(when I lived in Calgary in the 1980s)I often heard that "you must watch out for Bad News Allan." Especially when he's wrestling and he's mean towards anyone--even fans--if they get in his way and there's no stopping him. To this day I recall a woman in the stands booing him and Lord-knows-what-else she said. Finally having enough of her...and she's in the front row...Bad News Allen is approaching her. Oh-oh! All of a sudden everyone became quiet. Wondering what Bad News Allan is going to do. He lifts his hand and we(okay I don't know about the rest of the crowd but I)thought he's going to bodyslam her or worse. Instead he just put one hand on her head. Ruffling her hair. Smiled. And walked away. That then and there showed me not to believe everything I hear about wrestlers(and people in other industries)and that Bad News Allan wasn't as bad as everyone thought. If he was he wouldn't have just ruffled that woman's hair. That's my memory of Bad News Allan.

So, over the past couple of days I've been watching some WWE DVD's and I have to ask. Are Bruce Prichard's outrageous shirts some kind of inside joke? There's no way the guy can dress like that normally.

JR... do you think Hall will get one more shot with the Razor Ramon character? Maybe he could have past ties with Carlito and they work from there. It would be cool if he came back as a heel because he was at his best as one. I don't know, to me Razor(the original obviously) was my favorite wrestler, character of all time and it would be great to see him win the IC belt 1 more time since of course he'll never be the wwe champ.

J.R.- Since you're on your way to suburban Chicago, are you familiar with Russell's Barbeque, on Thatcher near North Avenue in Elmwood Park (maybe twenty minutes or so north of the AllState Arena)? They've been turning out some tasty barbeque since the 30s. You'd probably enjoy it, if you have enough extra time while you're in town (and I'm guessing you're under the gun!)Speaking of bbq- we tried the chipotle sauce this week, and it was a real winner. You really should push the healthy aspect of the sauce- as a guy with heart disease, I'm alwyas looking for healthy stuff that's also tasty. I wasn't able to snag tickets this time out, but will be watching for sure- you know the fans here are a great audience, and with the possibility of appearances by anyone from Trump to Foley to Stone Cold- the crowd will be louder than the planes flying over on route to O'Hare! (They DO come down kinda low, don't they?!)

J.R, I have two questions for you, first off, do you follow independent wrestling organization ECWA based in Wilmington DE at all? I was at their show last Saturday, and I have to say, that organization has a lot of talent. If you do follow that organization, who from there would you like to see recruited from WWE? Second question, are Marty Wright (The Boogeyman) and Charles Wright (Papa Shango, Kama Mustafa, and The Godfather) related at all? Somebody I ran into at the ECWA event was wondering about that and I never really thought about that. But now I am curious if those two are related at all. Speaking of The Boogeyman, I still think a feud with him and The Undertaker would make a great storyline. Yours truly, Cameron

Hi JR this is the first time that i have contacted your good self, i first of all want to say what a great job that you are doing for all of us fans in the very best organisation that is the WWE and with keeping us up to date with these blog entries. i just want to ask a couple of questions, firstly, i have read on an official wrestling website that WWE officials recently met with Chris jericho and he apparently could be returning in september, if you could just tell me if this is true or not. Also seeing as i am only 16 years old i only really started watching WWE wrestling around late 1999/2000, so i never had the chance and never will be able to see the truly awesome Bret 'Hitman' Hart live in the ring, but i just want to know what was it like being able to watch in my opinion the greatest wrestler in history, live and be just a few feet away from the great man? Thank you for your time reading an answering my queries, will be in touch soon and i can't wait for wrestlemania!! Eastbourne, England

hey JR, in your view, should Psycho Sid be considered as a future Hall of Famer? I didnt think he was very consistent with any of his stays in any company he was in. Also, what is Marc Mero up to these days? chris

ECW doesn't have much of a roster anymore "Whats going on?????

i understand that the drug test are needed but what happens when a wrestler like GREGORY HELMS and others get injured and have to take steroids as part of there rehab. why would the WWE try to Punish the stars for taking legal drugs? anywayz keep up the good work on this site and keep kicking ass with the king on mondays. i think you should have inducted the king for the HOF !

Hi J.R. Please can you answer me the following? Why, oh why is Edge still being pushed as a main-event level wrestler? He is the poorest main-eventer since "Zeus" from back in the day. His promos suck. His in-ring ability is no better than average. His finisher, the spear, is about the weakest looking finisher I've seen since the 1980's. I mean, how are we supposed to take that finisher seriously when it looks like he'd have trouble felling an 80 year old woman with it? Also, the only reason he drew high a rating during his run as a transitional champ is because people were so fed up of John Cena and the nature of the "live show" that he and Lita had set up. Christian was clearly the more talented one in their tag team and WWE allowed him to leave and kept the useless one instead. I really don't get it and neither do the majority of my friends and family who are WWE fans. The only good thing about Edge is that our refusal to watch his matches any longer allows us chance to go grab a beer.

Jr When i savage getting ... Only joking i have a couple of questions i love reading about behind the scenes and wrestlers autobiographies especially the stars from 1980s and 1990s what book would you recommend? if there was one wrestler you would love to have known better who would it have been and why? Do you think there is any merit in having a WWE cross brand unified champion? And Lastly why does the WWE persist with the big khali i liked your comment on raw when talking about the Kane v Khali match at wrestlemania "that its just going to be a slug fest" yeah cause you aint going to see any wrestling from Khali dont get me wrong i dont normaly like to bad mouth people wht elevate someone who lacks the basics? Anyway take care and I appreciate the time you take answering these emails and providing your views and opinions makes a great read at lunch times

hey j.r. im just finishing watching the bret hart dvd and about to buy the ric flair one. these are two names which will stay in wrestling forever. i also bought the hbk "from the vault" one and mick foleys collection. which other dvds are out there with the superstars best matches which you think would be worth investing in? its interesting to see the evolution of how wrestlers work in the ring and i love nothing more than to watch hours of classic and entertaining matches. also which would you say are your favourite matches of all time?

Greetings, good site, good thoughts, good food. Straight at it: WWE IN GENERAL What happened to the emphasis on deep gripping story lines? I mean it seems like people just randomly beef with one another for a title shot and then go beef with someone else for various reasons. I still tune in every week and I was here since Wrestle mania 1 so you know, maybe it's just me. But I was really into complex long story lines. Like undertaker/kane or rock/austin IC days or Sid Justice/Hogan or Warrior/Hogan or Savage/Steamboat MOHAMMED HUSSAN I know it's an old issue but the viewing public and upn executives and blah blah really blew this one out of proportion. I mean regardless of what WWE does it's still a television program that tells stories. And when people get miffed over story telling that isn't actually happening in the programming....there's something really wrong there. ESPECIALLY when Hassan was the greatest all out natural heel since The Rock with porkchops. KANE Is it just me, or has Kane largely been underutilized since his 'return' and various run ins with Shane McMahon. I mean psychotic kane with the black towel over his head was ratings gold baby. He seems to be returning to it somewhat but I'm unsure Great Khali has the storyline ability to sell the whole angle. BOOGEYMAN To the best of my knowledge Boogeyman is a product of Booker T's wrestling school correct? Um I suppose the comment is Boogeyman has the stuff to be the next undertaker from the earlier years when he would creep people out all day and then dominate them in the ring. But running around with a mini boogeyman in my opinion is hurting the potential of the character itself. While the fans may get comic relief for the night what about the future? ERIC BISCHOFF Am I the only guy who misses Eric Bischoff. I mean even in the Nitro Days he would come out smugly smile talk smack miff off certain wrestlers in the way of his agenda. Get embarrassed come back next week with a new way to make you want to punch him. And he did that on raw or at least until he cut his hair...somewhere after that he went from bad guy to inept guy but regardless he was still capable. BOBBY LASHLEY I hear people react negatively to Bobby Lashley and how he's the C rated show Champ. Well in my opinion Bobby made the SMARTEST career move since Edge cashed in his money in the bank or when Austin mocked Jake Roberts new found Bible Life. Bobby saw an oppurtunity in the new ECW to step up and be the leading man. Regardless of it being the "C show" he's still the champ and is at the top of "his show" not mention headlining wrestlemania 23. So i say compare that versus him wrestling random matches on smackdown with no story. Simply genius. RANDY SAVAGE Yes he should be in the hall of fame. Yes he'll be there sooner or later. Am I the only one getting tired of reading "WHAT ABOUT RANDY?" comments? THE DOG HOUSE Is there really such a thing? I mean unless someone is violating wellness policy.....is there really a need to start pointing fingers? HULK HOGAN That bubba the love sponge HoF conversation was way out of line in my opinion. Respect the business. Respect the man who made you who you are. Above all else stay professional. You never know when you'll these people again on your way down.

Another comment for you JR, my first memory of WWE/WWF back in the day was not of Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Roddy Piper, Flair, Bret Hart or HBK but it was of Lex Luger as he lifted Yokozuna and from that day forward I wanted to be a lot stronger as I was a young buck, I wanted to be the next Luger. So to say he was an idol is an understatement, Luger probably had no charisma with the microphone but so far neither does Masters but he was a very good in ring performer.

Hi JR, Do you think JBL would ever become the General Mananger of RAW or Smackdown? I just think that he is too valuable as a character to be prevented from participating in the storylines in a major way. Having said that, the only problem is that he's doing an AMAZING job on commentary, and it would be difficult to find anybody close to his caliber to replace him. But what would your thoughts be on JBL becoming a heel General Manager?

Hey J.R i just saw an old raw promo recently of the rock and jericho and there chemistry together was just amazing the mic skills were awesome and real funny but i havent seen anyone in the wwe recently that can work the mic as good as those two , bobby lashly can only utter a few words cena tries too much to be the rock on the mic apart from maybe edge or mr kennedy its real real bad , what do u think

Hi JR! I'm a huge wrestling fan(duh!), and i've always wondered how come the entire wrestling community all over the world(including the WWE & TNA) couldn't just get along and promote one another, and maybe have some inter-promotional matches, dream matches to please the fans all over? It would be kinda like the old days during the territories, only globle! This subject has just been something i've been thinking about latley, pretty much buggin me almost. What do you think?

Will the nwo ever reform in the WWE ? You could still have it without hogan. Maybe nash would lead it ? Do you think Kevin Nash will ever return to WWE?

is there any old titles that should be brought back I think the hardcore title should be brought back

Hello Mr. Ross, I've got one major question in response to your commentary. Why is Lex Luger always talked about in poor fashion? I admit, his wrestling moveset wasn't as elaborated or technically sound as a Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels, but he seemed to have worked hard (bumping/selling), had a good look, held his own on the microphone, and did play a major main event role throughout most of his career. I see wrestlers/personalities talking ill of Lex Luger all the time, but when I've seen him outside the ring, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. It kind of reminds me of this wrestler that they got recently, who started off with a rap gimmick, got into the main event position, and is now watered down. Also a nice guy, but not a Steve Austin or a Rock in the ring or on the mic. So any thoughts on why Luger is treated so badly? P.S. I'm not Lex Luger, I swear.

J.R. Just wondering..do you think it would be possible if..Shelton Benjamin were to really work up to superstar status that most of us know he had the ability of...to say have some great headlining matches against say..CM Punk..if they are to both work hard at it..i see them being huge main event names for the future..what do you think?

.... Hey yo, Chico! I'm just some random mark who thinks the Bad Guy should really be brought back and even honored in the HoF. What a guy! Nobody had a cooler run in WWE or WCW. And all the boys in the back love him. Just ask em. They'll tell ya. Everybody wants to see DX fight the nWo too. Oh, and Depeche Mode rules! The word of the day is legs. Let's spread the word.

Hey Jr, did you watch the March 22nd episode of TNA impact? The Dudley Boys, or as they are now known as Team 3D brought out the WWE, WCW and ECW tag team championships and threw them on the floor as if they were garbage? It was disgusting.

hey Jr, Is it true that Jerry Lawler isn't happy about his hall of fame induction because management won't let Lance Russel induct him?

Jim, what is your take on the future of the OU/Texas game? Continue at the Coton Bowl? A home/home/neutral site like the new "Jerryland" cowboys stadium? Boomer Sooner!!!

Dear Jim Ross It is our pleasure to be able to communicate with one of the greatest play by play announcers in wrestling history. We consider you to be in the same league as The Legendary Gordon Solie, as well as The Legendary Lance Russell just to name a few other greats in this industry. First off, we would like to know if there are any plans to release Starrcade on DVD? We are both loyal fans of The National Wrestling Alliance/World Championship Wrestling. We find it very hard to believe that Starrcade isn't already on the market, after all, Starrcade was dubbed as "The Granddaddy Of Them All". Secondly, The King Jerry Lawler made a comment on an earlier broadcasting of WWE Raw, that he was the last reckonized AWA World Heavyweight champion, however my research states otherwise. According to what the records have shown us, The Last AWA World Title Holder was Larry Zybesko. can you/will you shed some light on this issue for us? Records also indicate that Lawler was stripped of The AWA World Title, so therefore, how is it that he was "Unified World Heavyweight champion" many times over? Thank you Jim Ross for taking out the time to read and answer our questions, and we both are looking forward to purchasing some of your products. Keep up the great work, and have a wonderful day.
