J.R.'s Family Bar-B-Q

I hope all are well. Just got home from Richmond via St. Louis to OKC. I could elaborate on travel in general but any one who does much of it knows it isn't enviable but simply goes with the territory. Business at J.R.'s BBQ in Norman is brisk for this time of the year even though many of the college kids who attend OU are away for the summer.  Our internet business is o.k. but really needs to improve. Here's hoping that everyone is having a great weekend. We hope to have a busy one at our restaurant in Norman as the some what cooler weather has encouraged more folks to get out and about. Our place has great food featuring generous portions and family friendly prices with only three items on the menu over $10. I was at the restaurant for a few hours Friday night and plan on dropping by both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. We are also doing a great deal of work on the shipping side of our products from our on line store especially as it relates to international shipping via the USPS. I expect to get more info on that matter this weekend too. Friday Night SmackDown this week emanates from Miami, Florida, which is always a super place to visit. Although I will have to admit that I had a better time this week while in South Florida than I did back in January when the University of Florida defeated my Oklahoma Sooners for the National Title of College Football. Here's hoping that everyone who celebrated the 4th of July and America's birthday had a safe and fun weekend. I took a break from the action on Saturday but had other WWE projects to finish on Sunday but all is good. The C.M. Punk/Jeff Hardy issue is evolving at an interesting clip and I'm willing to bet a bottle of J.R.'s Original BBQ Sauce, available at www.jrsbarbq.com, that their World Title Bout at Night of Champions will be a gem dandy. Hardy seems to be feeling the pressure to win the World Title while Punk continues to play enough mind games to add to the youngest Hardy's angst. more »
