Gerald Brisco...Smackdown Rocks Roanoke...Hansen vs. Luger...Da' Bash

Hot crowd in Roanoke Tuesday night for the Friday Night Smackdown taping and the live to tape broadcast of ECW. It had been years since I had been in former Jim Crockett Promotions Promoter Sandy Scott's "town" which is also the home town of Tony Atlas known knowing up there as Tony White. No, not Tony Joe White who sang "Polk Salad Annie."  Atlas color photo adorned the front page of the local Roanoke paper Wednesday morning along with a significant story. Nonetheless let's get this BBQ'ed blog rolling with an update on my close friend Gerald Brisco. more »

Raw in Charlotte.....HUGE Announcement Rumored

Posted in:
As best I know, it looks like the IC Title Bout Monday will kick off the 3 hour Raw, one hour early at 8/7 central. Also from what I hear some sort of "blockbuster" announcement will also be made tonight. I have talked to no one who knows the specifics of this announcement but, without sounding hyperbole, it will apparently be significant. SD will also feature the Triple Threat Bout for the World Title that will air live sometime later in the show. After Raw, young Todd Grisham and I will be driving 3 hours to Roanoke for Tuesday's SD taping. I hope he didn't rent a Taurus. more »

J.R. visits with Stan Hansen... Q&A's Are Updated... Misawa's Death

It feels as if I just got home and now it's time to pack and leave Sunday for a flight to Charlotte where all three WWE brands will be a part of Raw's 3 For All Monday night on the USA Network. It starts one hour early and it seems that most people usually forget the early start time. Perhaps if one specific match was advertised to kick off the night it would give the viewers something tangible to remember other than Raw is starting one hour early. Post Extreme Rules Thoughts

First of all, cut a man some slack if I misspell some words as I wasn't class valedictorian & I'm doing this blog on my Blackberry. I know, "buy a laptop dummy." Here's my thoughts..... I get back to my hotel & there's no room service & no air conditioning. Poor me. Good to be back in Mid South country. JYD is still spoke of fondly here. Seemed like, biased opinion, Smackdown had the 2 best bouts of the nite. The IC Title match and the Ladder match. Duh. Lots of sore, bruised men after the show. Trainers & Doctors seemed to be busy. more »

Thanks for checking out our site. We are working on an awesome deal for a "case price" of J.R.'s Original BBQ Sauce where the domestic shipping for an entire case of sauce would be around $10. These are the new 18 oz,  plastic bottles of sauce that you can find in our on line store as we speak. Your business keeps this site alive and we encourage you to consider us for gift ideas for any occasion. Our products are affordably priced and we usually ship within hours of receiving your order. Let's get on to random thoughts.... more »

Raw Thoughts & More....JYD.....Kimbo

Long day Monday leaving OKC at 10 and not broadcasting our Superstars match until 10:30 pm Monday night after Raw. Being in Birmingham reminded me of broadcasting an XFL game there the night before WM17 in Houston. Now that was a busy weekend but chowing down on some Dreamland BBQ & a few cold beverages made that trip more enjoyable. RAW Thoughts: I liked the focus on Batista-Orton. This is RAW's obvious main event for Sunday's PPV and Orton was a "wanted man" as RAW left the air. Seems as if fans will want to see the Animal destroy Orton in New Orleans. more »

JR's Headed to Alabama/Tennessee; Superstars Main Event??

Getting ready to head to the OKC Airport to make my flight to Houston connecting to Birmingham. I look forward to watching Raw on site as we will be taping the Raw and Smackdown matches for WWE Superstars this week tonight. The main event looks as if it will be another Smackdown affair.  more »

I hope your Sunday is going well. I am a little under the weather but nothing that I won't kick out of in a few hours. It's nice to have cell #'s of doctors/friends, none of them named Black BTW, who can help a fellow out without having to hit the emergency room for immediate care. Today's random thoughts are all over the road just to give you a head's up. Let's roll. more »
