Ron Simmons is one of my favorite wrestlers and friends over the many years we have known each other. This was at the 2001 Orange Bowl in Miami when Ronís vaunted and favored Florida State Seminoles played my Oklahoma Sooners for the National Championship. Ron and I were both on the sidelines for the game OU won 13-2 to secure Coach Bob Stoops first National Championship. Fun thing was, I couldnít find Ron when the game was over. Perhaps he had an appointment. Notice I was wearing a new XFL jacket as this was just prior to the league debuting. Man, there are a ton of XFL stories to share with you down the road.
