J.R.'s Family Bar-B-Q

This photo was taken on Saturday November 11 just outside Owen Field on the campus of the University of Oklahoma at J.R.’s Bar-B-Q Trailer prior to the OU-Texas Tech football game. Stone Cold spent an eventful three days with J.R. and Jan Ross in Norman and was on the Sooner sideline with J.R. the first of the game and then enjoyed the suite of Hal Smith for the second half of the Big 12 contest. Hal’s company owns and operates over 50 restaurants in 7 states including Mahogany Prime Steakhouse, Louie’s Sports Bars and Grills (you can find J.R. at Louie’s Brookhaven in Norman a few days a week), Charleston’s, Ted’s Cafe Escondido Mexican Restaurant, Pearl’s Lakeside, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, Boomerang Grille, and Redrock Canyon Grill. Plus, Hal and J.R. are teaming up to form J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q Restaurant with the first location slated for Norman, Oklahoma and will be open soon. This photo is living proof that country boys do survive and that Rednecks aren’t as stupid as some ignorant jackasses think.
