Many of the Sooners come by JR's from time to time and never leave hungry. They load up on proteins such as our smoked chicken and turkey breast. It's going to be an exciting year for OU Football.
What's your prediction on how the Sooners will do this upcoming season?
Barring any unforeseen injuries, the Sooners have another shot at the National Title but Oct 17 in Dallas vs. Texas is looming larger than ever.
J.R., Sorry if this email is a little lengthy or confusing, but I didn't know how else to word it. Do you think the refs have gotten a little too quick to throw their flags for Excessive Celebration over the last few years? It especially seems to occur when players celebrate a late TD (Washington vs BYU last year comes to mind) or when a player pays tribute to his dead coach (Indiana's first TD of the season a couple of years ago after Coach Hoepner died). That one really infuriated me. I understand where the penalty is warranted, but it's asking a lot of college kids to not show their emotions after a big play in a big game, isn't it...especially if many of them will never play football again after college. How would you fix the Excessive Celebration rule to where the officials can be more consistent with their calls? Thanks so much!
Spontaneous celebrations would be o.k. but orchestrated, planned out celebrations would be penalized.
Hey J.R, this past Smackdown Kane ran away from Khali very uncharacteristically, do you think Kane is becoming less and less of a "monster" nowadays? Also, do you believe there will be a spot in the Hall of Fame for Kane?
Perhaps Kane is simply "picking his spots" as he forges ahead with Khali. I don't see Kane as any less an attraction because he decided to vacate the premises against Khali. I do see Kane as a future HOF'er.
Hey J.R I know your super busy I don't see how you do it and spend time with your family. I am from Oklahoma and ever since I was a kid loved listening to you and watching Dr. Death Steve Williams on UWF. The battles he had with the great late Terry BAM BAM gordy were awesome. I would always get mad though cause the tv time would run out and I wouldn't get to see who won. Can you update us on hows he doing with getting his voice box and battling cancer. Doc has been cancer free now for about 5 years and we are trying to raise the funds at www.wrestlersrescue.org to allow him to get a devise installed in his throat so he can talk "hands free." All donations of any denomination are welcomed. The goal is 20K. In the meantime, Doc is working for Southwest Airlines in Denver, caring for his mother and raising a 16 year old son as a single father. Doc beating cancer even though he lost his larynx is a miracle and a true blessing from God. more »
I also have a good ol' football question sir. I don't know if you keep up with other teams other than OU well, but UT(The real UT, not OU's stinkin rivals) Unniversity of Tennessee has a new head coach, Lane Kiffin. Any hope for the Vols?
The Vols have invested HUGE money in their new coaching staff so Vol fans should expect positive results sooner than later. Great tradition, great facilities and a powerful league should attract players which is where it starts. Monte Kiffin, the defensive coordinator who earns approximately $1.2M, may be the best coaching Kiffin on the staff. Yes, there is hope for the Vols.
How many national titles has OU won? Im a big Miami Hurricane fan, and i cant wait for the Sooners to visit THE U! I think the canes are going to be better than people expect this year, so i expect an awesome game. Hope the Sooners don't take the canes lightly, what do you think?

Joaquin was awesome for my Sooners. Tough, reliable player who can run after the catch, return kickoffs, and play special teams. I always thought he was a good person as he was always respectful to me and I know that he played hard for OU. He played lots of football for the Sooners over his four years here. He will join the other former Sooners on the Bears in hopefully helping Chicago have a great season. You will like Joaquin and he was a steal where he was drafted.
hey J.R. which nfl draft pick do you think will make the biggest impact on the league this year?
My guess would be one of the offensive linemen or perhaps a wide receiver.
