JR, It's a sad day in Sooner Nation with the passing of Wayman Tisdale. I was wondering if you ever had a chance to spend time with the Sooner legend.

I met Waymon Tisdale many times and he was a wonderful, God fearing man, with great athletic skills, musical talents galore and an ever present smile. I actually officiated some of Waymon's high school basketball games in the early 80's when he played for Booker T. Washington High School before going on to stardom at OU and the NBA. Waymon died Friday of cancer at the young age of 44 leaving a wife and four kids and one grandchild. Waymon Tisdale will always be the face or the smile, more specifically of Oklahoma Basketball.
