If you were starting out now, do you think you would have tried to be a pro wrestler commentator, or would you have gone for MMA or football?

I'll always be a wrestling fan but if given the opportunity to do football full time at a high level that night have been my choice. I am a MMA fan and feel I could broadcast that genre with no issues. When one is young, one follows the money so where ever the money would be and I've also learned that having fun at work is becoming more and more important.

Well, Fedor has officially signed with a company called Strikeforce, so he won't be going to UFC anytime soon. Just letting you know in case you didn't already.

Thanks for the info but I knew early on of this matter. Fedor's "people" are seemingly control freaks and trying to use other companies to build their own organization. For Fedor to not fight the best in the world lessens his presence in my eyes.

With Brock Vs Fedor on the horizon, will this fight be the MMA version of a Hogan vs Andre? as far as magnitude goes anyway?

First of all Fedor has to sign with UFC for this fight to happen and Fedor is dragging his feet. Plus, many fans don't even know who Fedor is so the Russian will have to be throughly introduced to the American audience outside the MMA hardcore fans. Brock is a much bigger main stream star in the USA than is Fedor.

What do you think about Josh Barnett testing positive for anabolic steroids? The guy doesn't seem to have too much faith in his ability, other than his scheduled opponent.

I don't know all the details and Barnette seems like a much smarter guy than to risk a payday in such a manner. I hope that there is more to the story than simply a guy taking steroids and getting caught.

Hi J.R, Looking at the trouble Brock Lesnar has gaining acceptance in the MMA world, what the hell is Bobby Lashley thinking by signing with TNA while competing in the MMA world?

Bobby is thinking of making some extra cash and garnering some TV exposure on  a weekly TV show. Lashley, I'm assuming, can take off his TNA schedule when it comes time to train for a MMA fight. I see nothing wrong with the move. I think it will be hard for him to pull off but let's see how it works out.

To use the old cliché': Hello! Long time fan, first time caller (in this case, writer)! Much has been said about Brock Lesnar's post fight actions or, as some people would have others believe, antics. My questions is this: do you think that people who have an "issue" with his actions are a little hypocritical, given that they (most likely anyway) are the same people who credited "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for revolutionizing professional wrestling for doing essentially the same thing? My personal opinion is that, when you're as much of a bad-a** as Brock Lesnar seems to be, you kind of have the right to stand in the middle of the ring that you call your workplace and home away from home and throw a couple of middle fingers up at the people who boo you. I consider him the greatest thing to happen to the UFC in quite some time. His larger-than-life "bad attitude" is going to prove to be a boon to the industry, just as he was a boon to the professional wrestling industry when he was a part of it. BTW, not trying to join any "kiss my a**" clubs or anything, but I consider you to be the greatest wrestling commentator there ever was, second only to the great Gordon Solie!

Austin's presentation was in the fictional world of pro wrestling while Brock chose the biggest night of the year in a legit sport to express himself. B rock's timing was wrong. Nonetheless Lesnar is MMA's most talked about star if for no other reason that MMA purists and pro wrestling "haters" are dying to see Brock get his ass kicked.
