Dana White said theyve been trying to sign Fedor and should he sign, he would put him against Anderson Silva... Though, Fedor would easily crush Silva, I would rather have him fight Lesnar as a Fedor vs Giant fight usually ends up becoming a classic. And maybe this time, the giant can put out the unbeatable Russian....
The Russian isn't unbeatable nor is he likely to sign any time soon with UFC unless Fedor gets realistic with his terms. I would not sign him to a one fight deal with no return clauses so he could hold me up again. Fedor is not bigger than MMA. but his "people" think that he is.
JR, were you the man who signed Big Show/Paul Wight , back in 1999? What a massive acquisition that must've been at the time. It seems to me that he has been used far better in the WWE that he ever was in WCW.
Yes I was and Show was a great acquisition. It was a team effort in signing him but it occurred on my watch.

Did you see Bobby Lashley's 3rd fight yesterday? It's on Youtube, just do a search for "Bobby Lashley vs Mike Cook" on youtube it should come up. Anyways, Lashley was very very impressive, he choked Mike Cook out cold 24 seconds into the first round, the ref had to stop the fight.
Bobby is evolving. He needs to continue to develop slowly. He's still likely a year away.
JR, It's a sad day in Sooner Nation with the passing of Wayman Tisdale. I was wondering if you ever had a chance to spend time with the Sooner legend.
I met Waymon Tisdale many times and he was a wonderful, God fearing man, with great athletic skills, musical talents galore and an ever present smile. I actually officiated some of Waymon's high school basketball games in the early 80's when he played for Booker T. Washington High School before going on to stardom at OU and the NBA. Waymon died Friday of cancer at the young age of 44 leaving a wife and four kids and one grandchild. Waymon Tisdale will always be the face or the smile, more specifically of Oklahoma Basketball.
Hi, J.R. I just found out that former NBA star and jazz musician Waymon Tisdale passed away. I knew him more as a great sax player due to his many hit records as well as his success in the NBA. However, I did not know he was a 3 time All-American Sooner. I had the pleasure of meeting him last year at the Capital Jazz festival in DC and he was a great guy. Unfortunately most of the stories "The Mick" shared with me were of the "R Rated" variety more suited for a happy hour with a bunch of buddies. He was so outgoing and friendly to me when he found out I was a fellow Oklahoman. I will say that he had a way with the ladies as he took a special interest in a lovely Southwest Airlines flight attendant wearing khaki shorts, not that I was paying any attention to her.

Don't wait for me....I enjoy all UFC events in general but this one is sort of taking a back seat to UFC 100 and 101 or that's what it seems to me. I'll likely still watch it if I am at home.
