http://www.webmd.com/brain/tc/bells-palsy-topic-overview
Newly discovered is that some Bells Palsy (especially the recurring type) may be caused by a virus and can be treated with antivirals. Your permanent facial tics can be treated with Botox.
Again, just trying to help. This is a wealth of information, and you may just end up knowing more thatn your doctors, because more that 80% of WebMD users are dr's. Please make time to check it out. Have Jan read it to you if you are too tired, it WILL help you and there are great resources at the bottom too.

J.R.'s Answer:
Thanks for the info. I do a fair amount of reading about Bells. There are seemingly so many theories on it from the medical world. I took a strong anti viral drug for several days after I first came down with Bells #3. Some say I should try acupuncture. I did in the early 90's for Bells # but it did not seem to work then. Nonetheless I really appreciate your feedback and your concern.
