J.R. Let me start by wishing you a speedy recovery. We all miss you. Since you've had some experience officiating football games, I'd love to know your thoughts on the interception call in the LSU-Alabama game Saturday. Also, what's your thought on the SEC fining Urban Meyer $30,000 for his comments agains the league officials? John Dupont Baton Rouge
Didn't see the play but generally my opinion is that coaches should shut up and coach. The human element of officiating has always been a part of the game and the defiance the coaches often demonstrate hurts the game and sets a bad example for kids who watch. Urban can afford the 30K and if more coaches get fined or have to sit out a game they will use better judgment and sportsmanship and stop whining.
Who would win in a battle of wits? Jerry "the King" Lawler or Jessie "the Body" Ventura? If these two called a match together how classic would that be? lol.
I would say in a two out of three fall talk off that Lawler wins the third and deciding fall because of his ability to speak in sound bytes.
Have you read Eric Bischoff's book "Controversy Creates Cash"? If so, how do you feel about the way he spoke about you in reference to letting you out of your WCW contract? He seemed to make it seem your were jealous of him becoming executive producer and blamed him for firing you when as he felt he was "helping" you. Do you agree or disagree?
I was likely envious that he came out of nowhere to get the chance to coach the team. I'm not sure that he intended to do me any favors when he took me off the air originally but as it worked out he did me a great favor getting me out of WCW and into WWE. I enjoyed the book BTW.

SmackDown just hasn't been the same without you. The WWE is massive in South Africa. It's one of the highest rated shows in the country. I've attended one WWE live event in South Africa, the 2007 RAW SummerSlam Tour. It's one of the best nights in my entire life and I was extremely privileged to see main eventers such as Randy Orton, John Cena and Jeff Hardy. My question to you, JR, is there ANYWAY you can pull some strings or let the powers that be KNOW that South Africa is BEGGING the WWE for another tour! It would be much appreciated and I think I speak for the millions of other South African fans. Thank you, JR, look forward to seeing you back on the blue and silver soon. I left my strings in Connecticut when I moved to Oklahoma. If the WWE has strong TV ratings and a strong outlet in South Africa and they have multiple arenas that they can utilize they will likely tour there some day. It all depends on TV, facilities, and the value of the currency exchange.

J.R., I wonder if you have had a chance yet to read the just published book, "Chris and Nancy: The True Story of the Benoit Murder Suicide" by Irv Muchnick? and what your thoughts are on it. I'm guessing that Irv must have either interviewed you or tried to for the book. He seems to stick pretty much to the police reports but is pretty pointed in his claims that some people inside the business are in denial about the contributing factors to this tragedy, and that even though it was just over two years ago there are people who want to treat it as some distant memory and not think about it.
I have not and likely won't. I don't need to relive it nor did the author reach out to me for any thoughts on the matter.
Hi JR I just read the posts from the guy who talks about his crappy sign that he held up at a UK show. I'm from the UK and this guy is a complete clown! I have no idea where he is coming from or why he would choose to share his uninformed opinion with the world's wrestling fans. I'm 21 and have never heard another wrestling fan with a bad word to say about your commentary at all. So just to re-assure you (if needed) that this guy is a clown and the UK does not think that JR is over-rated. p.s dont worry about posting this

Hi JR, Glad to say I was able to complete an order online yesterday for a case of sauce, autographed cookbook and several packs of jerky after having credit card issues on the website when trying to order before. I'm looking forward to receiving your product and glad the ordering process went smoothly. I was a big Paul Orndorff fan and wondered if you knew him well and if you have any memories to share about him. I was always curious what injury he sustained that made his one arm atrophy later in his career. I'm guessing nerve damage from a neck or back but wondered if you knew. Thanks, Rob
Thanks for the great order Rob. I signed your book a few days ago sitting in my chair watching a little football. I remember it well. Paul had a neck injury that caused his nerve issues as I recall. He was a legit tough dude who would fight any many at the drop of a hat. Former running back at Tampa during his college years. Fierce competitor and had a hot temper.
Hi from Scotland JR! Firstly, I hope you continue to feel better. From your blogs and your work in general you seem like a genuinely nice guy so yeah, here's hoping you continue to get better. Now being that I'm from Scotland, personally, I want to see Scottish people do well in sports and whatnot and in WWE there hasn't been any Scottish wrestlers who have made a big impact. I mean, Roddy Piper, while a great talent isn't really Scottish and the Highlanders didn't do much. So, I ask, what do you think of Drew McIntyre? Do you think he has the potential to be a huge 'main event' talent one day? Thanks for your time.
McIntyre has the chance to make it if he stays injury free and continues to focus every night on his work. I like his chances.
