WWE › JR, a % chance question, if I may. It's believed that Sting will retire before the year is out. WWE has always been hugely respectful of Steve Borden and it seems obvious to me that he is well respected in the eyes of those who matter.
Given that he will be leaving TNA, a 4 month window could be open before Wrestlemania XXVI.
Optimistic as this may be, I think this is the perfect time for Sting to have his final appearance. Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker would be fantastic choices as opponents. He'd get to retire officially in a fantastic match, on the greatest stage.
I understand his past reticence about appearing in WWE, but I personally think WWE would be nothing but respectful to his legacy.
I always thought (and highly respected him for this) that Steve would be remembered as a WCW original who never left (akin to Undertaker or Shawn) or went to 'the other side' so to speak. But, I do remember hearing that he was agonizingly close to facing Stone Cold at Wrestlemania a fair few years back now.
So, I wondered, in your opinion, as I believe a friend of Steve, what would you say the % chance of Sting ever having one last match at Wrestlemania is?
