J.R.'s Latest Q&A

Hey JR. This isn't a question, but a comment on your cookbook. I recently made the turkey chili, and it was very, very good. I also plan on making the mile high peanut butter pie in the next couple days. And to anyone else reading this, I definitely recommend picking up the cookbook if you haven't yet.

Thanks for the ringing endorsement. Our cook book is simply done to where even beginners can successfully use it. Now we h ave an offer on the site's on line store to where I'm personalizing the JR's Cookbook for holiday gift giving, stocking stuffer type gifts. I'm anxious to hear how other recipes work out for you.

J.R. Back in the territory days what was the criteria for a young guy to break into the business? And do you think those same criteria would work today. Also, what advice would you give a young man wanting to become a pro wrestler.

Tough guys, persistent guys and world class athletes were frequent visitors to local wrestling territory offices. Plus, many promoters were partial to college jocks. My advise for you wanting to be a wrestling is to honestly get a college degree, learn a skill and look at wrestling as a helluva long shot that likely won't materialize. I did not say to not try it but be realistically informed that you likely,  most  likely, won't make it.

JR, I Know how you announce on SmackDown now, and I'll be honest, you are one of the wwe's best Announcers! Especially when with King! Are we going to get to see you two reunite at ring side any time soon?

You're asking the wrong  guy as I don't' know nor do I have any influence on that decision. I never fully understood why were were split up in the first place but as Jerry says, "one can't grieve forever."

Howdy JR, Hope you are feeling better. The Dr. who spoke about Solomedral made so much sense. It was the only steroid that got me out of the hospital and into a wheel chair when I was hit with my first MS bout (Transverse Mylitis totally numb from the waist down). It worked for me in about a week. It took about a full week with max dosages to get it all under control, but it did work. I only had the Type II diabetes to deal with after treatments. Great luck any way you decide to go. I hope you get to make this trip to Lincoln. I was trying to get up there. I know that Tommy is driving and Richard will fly as usual. I think that you will see the D come back to life and I think that our O will keep getting better and better. I look forward to this match up of Bo Pelini vs Kev Wilson. Two great minds on different sides of the ball. I look for Landry Jones to show how far he's come as he now has four guys whom he has confidence in. I see Dejuan having a real break out game as he gets to visit with his dad Jeremy today and I know how well he plays when he speaks with Jeremy. So glad to see Trey kicking and doing his thing. What a leg and what great parents he has. Sorry to go on about OUr Sooners, but I can't help it as I"m totally addicted JR.....;) As for your BBQ, I love it. The ribs this year have been awesome with a ton of meat on them. Tommy and I do a ton of smoking as you may know and I've been using your rub on fish, seafood and poultry and sometimes just sprinkling it on veggies or over a salad. I used to have my own base rub and then add what was needed depending on the usage, but I do like your's a ton and it's easier, lol. I just got back from Memphis for my Juice Plus business and went to Rendezvous for ribs. I do love them, but I like yours a bit better. It's all in the sauce for me. Hot, not too sweet so that you open your taste buds and can taste the smoke ring on the meats! I do love burnt ends. Not sure if you sell them, but I do love them as an appetizer. I can't wait for the mustard to come. I'll pick some up when I get to Norman next if it's out!!!! Thanks for doing this site. Boomer Sooner, Pete

Thanks, Pete. Always good to hear from you. Tuf night for us Sooners in Lincoln. Better days lie ahead without question. Tommy and I chatted briefly on the phone. Nebraska was an experience that would have been perfect if OU could have won the game. Thanks for the support. See you down the road.
