Hello J.R Hope your feeling much better these days and feeling close to 100 percent. Well I'm just writing to ask if you can pass on my love haha just kidding, but that is seriously messed up some 'dirt sheet' posted a letter from him and it is seriously freaky hope Mickie is highly looked after. But seriously im from the United Kingdom and training over here to become a wrestler, is there any tips or advice or who any new comer should base himself on. Thanks for your time Ps. I don't think that Mickie is in any danger...this guy is just an obsessed fan who needs to realize that he can be a fan but his conduct, he emails lots of sites, simply makes him look like a crack pot. To prepare for a wrestling career one must practice harder and longer than any one in one's group, wrestle at every small event one can find no matter if it is for free, and get one's body to look marketable and athletic.
With Hulk/TNA being big talk, Shane leaving the company also being a "mystery", I can honestly say that I'm still waiting for an answer for a question I posted several months ago. What other ways can blind users make a purchase of your products besides using the web because it's not working for me. I'm probably the only dude on the planet who hasn't tried anything from here, yes I know, exajoration. On a more respectful but serious matter, please get better.

hi jr. i know uv heard this a million times but i hope u get well soon. u to me are not just the voice of smackdown. but the voice of wrestling. ur one of the reasons i watch wrestling to this day after 20 years. thank u for ur passion for this business. i hope u stomp a mudhole in this illness and walk it dry. and i know when u come back 'buisness will pick up' as u would say. god bless you and your family. from ur fan and freind from ireland, michael!!
I look forward to getting back to work no matter what my assignment might be. Weekly TV may not be at the top of my list upon my return but we'll see.
Hey JR, Hope you are getting better each day. Here's a question, do you miss the time 'back in the day' when the 'storylines' were told through the wrestlers and not through the Internet and rumors? As a wrestling fan who has watched the 'sport' since age 12, I kind of miss not knowing how something is going to end. Here's another question, do you remember the first time you watched wrestling on television and if so can you remember a specific match that sticks in your brain? I can recall three each from a different wrestling organization: WCCW, when Iceman King Parsons was burned; when Ric Flair gave Magnum TA a tailor-made suit and he proceeded to tear it to shreds and when Brutus Beefcake shaved Outlaw Ron Bass' head bald and the following week he attacked 'the Barber' and they put a huge 'X' on the screen.
Sure I miss the "old days" because I was younger then and anyone my age would love to have some years back. I liked the product better during previous eras when things were less politically correct and illness and injuries weren't as paramount. That's not to say that I don't like today's biz but if I had my way many things would change.
gotta ask... although you may not feel your recoveries have been to your liking, there are obviously a large number of us who do not just feel that you have recovered well, but also very, very, quick. That being said, there are going to be a few roads meeting pretty soon. 1-you will recover pretty soon and be ready to work again. 2-your contract is expiring 3-you now have a reputation for being an amazing announcer (In sports, not just Sports-entertainment) 4-You seem to have a greater enthusiasm when it comes to Football. Do you think these things could, would, influence your career in the next year? IE. Leaving the WWE?
Firstly I just want to be healthy. My contract talks will resume soon as I understand it. I am not concerned about finding work. I don't know about the football work as I am not relocating from Norman for any job. I love football and would love to do OU football on radio some day but I've been saying that for almost 50 years. I love the wrestling biz or I would not have stayed in it for 35 years especially with some of my personal experiences within the biz. One can never forecast how negotiations will go. I don't get too wrapped up in things that I can't control these days. It's not healthy.
Hey Jr. Who was a bigger draw for the WWE for the last 25 years Hulk Hogan or Stonecold Steve Austin. Hogan put the WWE on the map. Stonecold saved the WWE with the rivarly with Mr. MaMachon. That would have been cool to see a Hogan vs Austin match at a wreslemania. Hogan put WWE on the map. Austin saved WWE from going out of bussiness. Hogan is greatest draw in Wrestling Austin became a Draw too. Hogan and Austin are the greatest draws Vince and the WWE ever had. In 2002 when Hogan camed back it should have been at wrestlemaina 18 Hogan v.s Austin. I would have picked Austin all the way. Hogan would have made it a classic crowd reacation at his best and JR calling that match would have been a classic and Gordon Sollie looking down from heaven with a smile. Get well soon JR. The Hulk vs. Austin ship has sailed. Hogan had a better run if time/tenure is your criteria plus Hogan was the guy who got pro wrestling really noticed in the pop culture world in the expanded world of electronic media. However, no one ever had bigger single, years than did Austin who took the biz to another level at the proliferation of cable and satellite TV.
Who do you think will become the next 'first time' world champion? I would say guys like Morrison, MVP and DiBiase and now perhaps Ziggler and Kofi.
Impossible to forecast but all the men you mentioned would be on most people's short list.

hey, J.R. I was wondering of all the college football teams around the country (other than your beloved Oklahoma Sooners) which teams would you like to see play in their respective stadiums? I saw Nebraska Saturday night in Lincoln and that was huge for me even though the Sooners played poorly and lost. The experience at Memorial Stadium was an amazing memory. Seeing Alabama play in Tuscaloosa was really cool too. I'd love to see an Army-Navy game and a game at West Point. Oregon has a great stadium I'd like to visit. Anxious to see Neyland Stadium some day. Going to a game at Notre Dame would be fun too.
