Boyd Pierce passed away some time ago. He was a real character and had a great sense of humor and a flair for the dramatic. His attire was always colorful and his claim to fame, as was mine in the early days, was to welcome the fans to the show, intro Cowboy, largely lay out, and tell the fans good bye at the end of the hour. Boyd and I essentially switched places on Mid South TV as time went on. Boyd was a wonderful man who I never heard anyone say a bad thing about him which is rare in the wrestling, or any other, business. I think Boyd resided in Burleson, Texas and was a successful salesman who worked in wrestling because he loved it and not because he needed the extra cash.
