DEMOLITION on Ross Report Podcast Tonight, RAW Thoughts, RINGSIDE w/ JR in HOUSTON This Sun at 4 PM,

Excited to welcome Axe and Smash aka DEMOLITION to the Ross Report podcast night at 9pm ET on podcastone.com, iTunes, and here on the homepage of our site. Really a cool conversation with two men who are HOF worthy and were one of WWE's greatest duos.

Busy week for yours truly with OU football vs. in state  adversary Tulsa Saturday at 11 am on Fox Sports 1 followed by my RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show in Houston Sunday afternoon at 4 at Warehouse Live Ballroom which is about a 10 minute walk from the Toyota Center where WWE is presenting Night of Champions. Tickets for my show start at $20 and are on sale in advance at www.ticketfly.com and will be available at the venue on Sunday starting at 3 pm. Some VIP tickets remain but are going fast. Hop online and get your tickets today.

The OU-Tulsa game will be much closer than many experts think, IMO, after my Sooners escaped a hugely physical game with a 2 OT win in Knoxville last Saturday night vs Tennessee. Tulsa can score, has nothing to lose and is 2-0 this season.

Raw Memphis Thoughts:

The finish of the show was perfect to build to Sunday's NOC as Sting beating Rollins as tried an true, old school booking. Still curious as to why WWE did not heavily promote Sting's first ever match on RAW in advance especially going up against the Monday Night Football double header. Nice booking.

Had no issue with villain Nikki cheating to retain her title and creating another opportunity to have another title bout in Houston Sunday against a motivated Charlotte. I only hope that Charlotte will never be earmarked to be a umpteen time champion which is one of the more overrated stats in pro wrestling. WWE is blessed with some amazing female talent and if they are not booked liked females have traditionally been more often than not in the biz in the past, they have something special to work with that will be new and fresh.

Nonetheless, Charlotte is amazingly athletic and a special talent and she reminds me of a female Kurt Angle.

Thought Sasha Banks had a stellar night vs Paige and that the fiery Brit is being sternly challenged as to who is the most aggressive female talent in WWE. Competition is good for all and we certainly have not seen the best of Paige as of yet IMO.

Still under the impression that Rollins vs. Cena should kick off WWE NOC with the WWE Title closing  the show.

Perplexed as to how the authority figure role in WWE is being played out as at times they appear to be fan friendly and the in a moment's notice they're not. Both HHH and Stephanie are excellent in their roles but I'm merely asking if the roles have essentially run their course at least for now? Just asking...

No one will ever be a better antagonist authority figure than Mr. McMahon.

New Day is a damn entertaining trio and they are going to have to work hard nightly to be perceived as antagonists. Will they consistently accomplish such are are they bound to be in the some what impotent role as 'tweeners?' Nonetheless I am a fan of all three men and am proud of each.

Love that @HeymanHustle and Brock Lesnar are not on every RAW as it keeps them special ala Andre the Giant back in the day when he was the most valued attraction in the game. Same goes for Taker which is another reason that I feel that the Deadman isn't retirement ready.

BTW the interview that Michael Cole did recently with Charlotte on the WWE Network or WWE.com was stellar. Why that hasn't made RAW or Smackdown is beyond me. Great work by Cole and the young woman.

Damn, I'm a major fan of Cesaro and for the life of me still fee that he is massively underutilized. His in ring work/persona is SO strong that he's a main eventer waiting to explode. I'd still love to see him some day have a match with Lesnar just for my own old school enjoyment.  esaro is money...so please cash the check.

ROH has an IPPV this Friday that you might want to check out. The in ring work with be stout...faster than I'd prefer....but stout. Jay Lethal is a badass in ring talent.

Impact Wrestling has their Bound for Glory PPV on Oct 4 that you should consider buying. Let's keep all promotions healthy if we can. EC3 will be on the Ross Report that drops on September 29.

Happy B-Day to my old friend Teddy Long who is 68 today. I'd love to see Theodore write a book about his life sooner than later. His career has been overcoming one challenge after another. Here's to you Teddy.
