Man, what a nucleus to build a territory around! Here are three men with great character and integrity who all brought something different albeit valuable to the table. DiBiase was a ring general, Duggan a two fisted brawler, and Doc an amateur wrestler with a brawler’s mentality. I love these three guys and we all worked for Mid South together in the early 80s and all learned the foundation of our business from the legendary promoter, wrestler, taskmaster, and coach, Cowboy Bill Watts. Athletically speaking I have nothing in common with these men but we all have in common the fact that we all were “verbally motivated” by the big Cowboy on numerous occasions. Jim Duggan and Doc are each cancer survivors which is a magnificent gift from God. If I had to pick 10 men to start a wrestling territory these three would be on the list.

Shot this at the very first WrestleReunion 2005/Tampa where I was brought in as head photographer. We were only missing Jake in that photo but I made up for that at Mania in the press box this year but of course we all miss Steve/Doc. Like Gary Albright and Ronda Singh, Doc used to email results and haps during his last few years working for All Japan. Just an incredibly nice guy on all cylinders.
